Yeah to my understanding you want to shoot at iso 800. That's why ND filters are a must if you're going to shoot outside

Why did you shoot at ISO 200? With many "cinema" cameras the base ISO isn't 100 like with DSLR's but something like 800, which is the case with the BMPCC. Shooting at a lower ISO reduces quality. Edit: As all other Blackmagic cameras, they greatly benefit from editing in DaVinci Resolve. It's great for colour grading and free.

Does anyone know what the HDMI output is like from this camera. What are we getting in terms of settings display. Are all the controls outputted through the HDMI? for example the 'REC' / Stand By' the shutter speed, ISO, Aperture and so on. And do those setting stay on screen while recording?

what cards do you use? i know the newer sandisks dont work because new write speed.

Poor battery life is the bane of all bm pocket cameras, even the 4k. 4k is a big improvement on the original. It is a cine camera : people see the size of it and want it to work like an iPhone 11 but it doesn't and really works best in raw or pro res. Shooting in raw requires serious memory and battery power and a lot of additional storage to handle the raw files when you transfer to your computer. I notice that many serious iPhone filmmakers are now using dof adaptors and cine lenses to get a film look- why not just use a cine camera? I must admit that apps like filmic Pro are cool and give you options such as audio monitoring and zebra stripes etc but all smart phones are limited in terms of battery options ( i.e on a long film shoot you need battery solutions on the fly) and what peripherals can be added which is where cine cameras and dslrs still have an edge.

Is it possible to produce videos with this camera using Windows 10 ? It seems to have complicated codecs or is maybe not ? I Understand you can't get heavy with color grading.... But just want to produce videos

iSo was too high on the camera. So your color grading was difficult.

The camera is a cine camera. Its strength is that is shoots raw for a very accessible price. It has flaws: poor sound recording and poor battery life so needs a work around.

you just have to know how to expose, shoot and grade. just like with every other cameras. The OG BMPCC is a really good little camera and more capable than a 4K DSLR in the same price range... example kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z6KDsspvpdvedco.html

@@martinkulik9466 Hi. It depends what you want to do. The battery work around can be cheap. You need a battery plate with a Nikon battery which plugs into the camera which gives over 2 hours of filming or more. The camera will work with old lenses and cctv lenses with adapters, the best being the metabones speed booster but that is pricey. I use Rokinon cine lenses (Samyang) which are a few hundred quid/bucks and have mft threads. They can be used on the 4k too. The 6k uses Canon ef mount. I have used the camera for KZread stuff but it is best in film mode shooting raw. All the work is done in post. So for a cheap and fun way to learn cine filming the bmpcc is awesome. If you are doing quick vlogging or stuff like that, better sticking with a dslr or decent smart phone.
