Double Black - Any Day. I use less water. Like, for a 30 ml peg, i mix 10 ml water. Reduces potency but gives a great taste. Drink less, enjoy more.

Black Label is a much more sophisticated blend. Like all great creations it is difficult to define or put into a bracket. Its a complex experience. Double Black on the other hand is easy to define and a simple whisky. Overwhelming peatiness and little else. Black Label wins easily over Double Black.

JWBL with more peat is double black, individual choice.

Sir I want to knw 1 thing. I used to drink and my capacity was around 3 pegs (ofcourse 60ml😅), but I stopped due to a reason for around a year, I want to drink again, but, will my capacity remain the same or it will decline?

I had a capacity of 8-10 pegs (of course 60 ml) but today I laugh at myself for that behaviour. Now I Focus on quality, I take only 1 peg (60 ml) twice a week (Mon and Fri) now, earlier I was concerned only with booze even if I had to drink country liquor, but now I only drink Single Malt Scotch whiskies, I appreciate them as a piece of art. Drinking seems much more enjoyable now.

Start slow. 30 ml is enough to test waters. Key is to enjoy more with less alcohol.

There is no whisky which tastes like Red Bull. You will have to mix red bull with some alcoholic drink to get that taste, like red bull + vodka or jagerbombs

2800 rs only in Delhi? That's awesome. Here in Hyderabad, it's sold at 4660 rs (bought it after the lockdown). Although it's smooth and slightly smoky but it's certainly overpriced! Will try Double Black soon (I'm kind of liking the peaty smoke). Do you have any recommendations? Great stuff btw!

Because it's double smoky. But price is not double, only ₹ 700 more. Like Officers Choice (OC) has its better expensive version OC Blue, same way Black Label has its better expensive version Double Black. If you know why OC Blue is more expensive than Officers Choice then you got the answer.

Today's Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 Years Old Blended Scotch Whisky has Cardhu as its core malt, backed up with the super-smooth Glenkinchie, Auchroisk, Blair Athol (the primary SM in Bell’s), Benrinnes, the multi-faceted Cragganmore and Dailuaine. The recognisable Single Malts for me are Cardhu, Caol Ila, Glenkinchie and Talisker. The removal of Dalwhinnie, Teaninich and Inchgower has changed its profile considerably starting ~2005. The JWBL of the 1990s is distinctly superior to the blend marketed today. JW claims that there are at least 25-28 more Single Malts and they must be right; it is a 40-whisky blend, after all. The Single Malts need not be from different distilleries; any distillery can provide tens of Single Malts, of the same or different ages. The Single Grain whiskies are Cameronbridge and North British. JW Double Black NAS has an easier structure compared to Black Label, with important differences. The number of Single Malts has reduced. It primarily uses the well-peated Talisker 10 YO and Caol Ila 12 YO, with the lightly peated Cragganmore, Clynelish 14 YO, Dailuaine and Benrinnes in support. Many Single Malts have been replaced. Single Malt from the new distillery at Roseisle has displaced Cardhu. All Single Malts in JWDBL of today are 8 YO and more, with a noticeable dollop of Lagavulin 8 YO smoky peated Single Malt added. The Single Grain whiskies remain Cameronbridge and North British. I am from the lot that has lost interest in JWBL. Interestingly, Chivas Regal is No 1 in Asia. JWBL is the bestseller globally-but will lose its pole position to the fast moving Grand Old Parr, Dewar's 12 YO, Chivas Regal and Ballantine's. I have subscribed and pressed the bell icon.

For me Jim Beam bourbon, it improves if you add few drops and let it breathe for 5-10 minutes. J&B also gets quite smooth with this water process.

The reason is that port wine 1000 is not made from pure grape juice, it is a mix of wine with grain alcohol and added flavours and colourings. They are very different, port wine 1000 does not even taste like wine, it tastes much more artificial and sweet.
