many BTS videos are connected. They legit have their own storyline and universe and even web series. Many fans do a lot of research in order to fully understand their videos. The leader of the group, RM, IQ score is 148, which is considered as a genius and in top 0.1%. So just put that into perspective. One of my favorite BTS songs is Spring Day which actually pays homage to young students that died in a ferry accident in Korean. If you like Wale (the rapper) you should listen to the song Change with RM and WALE.

And their clothes are lavish too. You’re right about the absinthe too. True absinthe made one hallucinate - the green 🧚‍♀️

The negative aspects when learning about sex, drugs, making bad decisions, social issues, etc. It also ties in the theories of their tragic and dramatic storyline that they have had for the past 5+ years

It’s like MCU guys you have to watch all the music videos in the series to understand this one because they’re all linked and tell an over-arching continuous story.

The guys throughout the MV were being tempted by the demon. They all fell to temptation except the last dude. In the end, he could not resist temptation and he lost his innocents. Great reaction. This MV is based on the book "Demian" by Hermann Hesse. The video is very deep.

Poor Yoongi though.. (the person playing the pipe organ) when he was going to prepare for that scene and went under all the pipes he banged his head on the pipes so he had to play the piece with a bump on his head 😂

Sorry this might be a bit long.... Their Wings concept (the album which Blood, Sweat and Tears is from) is based on youth/boys falling into temptation and losing their innocence. This is a good continuation of their overarching concept of youth from their previous era, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, is centered around the idea of a reckless and carefree youth that leads to growing up and falling into temptation (you can see this in the I Need U and Run videos). So in TMBML we saw the boys at the prime of their free-spirited youth and hints of their downfall. Now, in Wings/Blood Sweat & Tears, we will witness their fall & one interpretation of the different ways adulthood tempts the freshly matured. The part where Namjoon (RM) Starts speaking english in the MV: "he too was a tempter. He too was a link to the second. The evil world with which I no longer wanted to have anything to do”. (the scene where its a red screen and someone is holding a balloon) is a part in a book by Hermann Hesse called Demian (If you can find it I would highly recommend reading it... it's an amazing book to say the least) Edit: Also..... for pretty much all of this video they filmed on special made sets for them... Y'all should react to the behind the scenes for the making of the bst MV!

Finally, I’ve been waiting for this for so long

So this music video is heavily based on the book Demian by Herman Hesse and this album was heavily based on the themes of temptation, good vs. evil within oneself, and conflict between desire and morality. So there's a lot of symbolism on the music video theme wise

The video was based off of a book called Damien and it is about good and evil and the temptation the devil will bring in trying to make u choose evil. Basically their's a lot of temptation in the world and u can get caught up in it and lose urself. So it's about that temptations between good and evil.... basically that's the gist or close 2 it anyway

A couple of the MV's themes are of temptation and corruption. So you see the guys falling into different vices and being destroyed/entrapped by them.

the funny thing about the lollipop is that it's a reoccurring motif for RM's "character" throughout their music videos--but that's only something I'd get into if you guys were interested in learning about the overarching storyline (the "Bangtan Universe")

One thing that everyone over time learns not to go by their hair color because it constantly changes along with their fashion....HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU TRY TO REMEMBER THEIR FACES AND NAMES!

The MV actually contains a lot of references and symbolisms to the book Demian written by Hermen Hesse. If I'm correct, the scene where the guy kissed the statue actually plays how a character in the book kissed the 'devil', meaning selling his soul or giving into temptation or darkness maybe since I havent read the book myself lmao

BTS has a storyline that is connected to all their music videos songs. They get a lot of their inspiration from famous literature. Such as: The One's WhonWalk Away from Omelas, or Damien. To better understand I suggest reading their Webtoons series, watching a ton of different theory videos (remember there theory not fact) and watching all the BTS Hightlight reals.

The simplest explanation is giving in to temptation. But if you know what to look for, there is a lot of symbolism and hidden meaning in this MV. + it is part of a long-running storyline.

Okay... This MV came out around time I fell for BTS. It confused me so much. Then I got into a rabbit hole I could never escape. I watched all of their MVs and read books as recommended by my fellow BTSARMY. I loved BTS even more than before!!! I just love them for stimulating my intellectual curiosity and encouragement me to engage in a field that I never thought I would delve into. I am a PhD in an educational measure and statistics. It is exciting to read literature and be less of a stat geek! Want to really understand all the meaning behind??? No! You are open to interpret the scenes based on other related literature and BTS MV. That is a real fun part!!!

Blood, Sweat and Tears and the whole Wings Album was based of the book Demian by Hermann Hesse. Real short notes version: it is about a boy who finds the light and dark (good and evil) in himself and learns to embrace both. If you watch BTS Music Videos and Listen to their songs, they often based them off books, poems, social events, etc. Watch some of the Explained by a Korean videos of BTS Music Videos/Songs they help. For example, Baepsae is a fun song, but it is also one of BTS more political songs.

The amount of detail and research done for this music video was ASTOUNDING, every since was curated with such detail. Every art piece 🖼 every statue, the book “Demian” (which I ended up reading explicitly because of this music video). 📖 The music video is slightly haunting and so full of symbolism, you could literally write a dissertation, and many think pieces and article were written about this video series. I could try and explain it but I’m not trying to write an essay in the comment section 😂

Okay so BTS have a running story line. Their songs lyrics does not always reflect what you see in the videos. I actually like what you said about the green drink, that just might be a key to what’s going on in this video. In order to get what’s going on then you have to watch the beginning of the story line. I always tell people to start with the BTS Full storyline it’s about 1hr15 and if you want to react to it then do about 2 videos at a time then pick up the reactions and so on. I would be really interested in what you guys see.
