I didn’t know the name « zobo ». This is popular in my country too in senegal, called « bissap ».. and in a lot of west African countries. Btw « jolof » is the old name of a kingdom in senegal and we use it sometimes in the principal local language (wolof) to say senegal. And our most popular local dish is similar to jolof rice, with fish (the prefered), chicken or red meat.. Thanks again for your video uche :)

Yes I’ve heard someone from Togo calling it “bissap” but we call it “zobo” in Nigeria. Guess different counties have different names for it 😄

Nigerian jollof is the Nigerian way of cooking Wolof , it’s cooked differently too

Jollof was the name of the kingdom/empire.. and I know there are some differences between « jollof rice » and senegalese « thieb » (thiebou dieune, thiebou yapp, or thiebou guinar… according to the meat used), but also some similarities in my opinion. Btw, My comment was just for a contribution ;)
