I'd hazard starbucks before folgers again. I have probably tried hundreds of coffee. I never stick with just one.

Putting the coffee grounds in your lip reminded me the first time I tried chocolate covered espresso beans. We went to a coffee shop, was curious and ordered a small cup of those beans. Ate them while watching a movie…they were good! About 15 minutes later, I think the people around me could hear my heart thumping. I didn’t sleep at all that evening.

I started drinking my coffee black a few years ago. Not for any other reason that I was just too lazy to get out the sugar and cream, pour it in the cup, find one of those little spoons, and stir it up. Way, way to much effort first thing in the morning. Have been drinking it black ever since.

Similar story here. Had a small bottle of creamer get mildly frozen in the fridge, and I was not in the mood to go out for coffee. After that day just started drinking it black. Moved onto Americanos now though

Gave up coffee for Lent. Never again. Can't function without my daily black coffee. I love it when the relatives bring Zoegas when they visit from Sweden. It's tough to find a dark smooth coffee roast here that doesn't taste bitter and burnt.

On very rare occasions it'll be decaf, but usually the fully leaded variety. I'll sometimes splurge on a frufru drink, and I often drink flavored coffee. I'm watching this video while enjoying a Cameron's Chocolate Caramel Brownie coffee from the Kurig that I bought at Goodwill.

Loving the extended versions of these skits!

this is how you get a good buzz going for the lord. I am dying.

The worst thing about liking black coffee (french press made, of course ~ aahhh...💪😜) is finding GOOD coffee. When you take away the cream & sugar, suddenly you realize how awful most brands taste. (Esp Starbutt's burnt-tobacco blends. They should serve it in Venti size ash trays, ugh.)

@@chizorama Actually, I'm just a CHEAP black coffee drinker. You use much less coffee brewing it in a press & buying paper filters is not necessary. No electricity (coffee machine) needed either, if you heat water with a gas stove. And no kitchen counters cluttered with coffee appliances - more room to work. Just rinse the press & put it away. (I do have a small electric grinder, though. Even crap coffee sometimes taste OK when it's fresh ground.)

Electricity is my friend, & the speed at which it makes my coffee compared to a french press makes it a best friend. I will admit that it tastes better out of a french press, but I like the ease of a coffee maker. For a second there I thought you were a coffee snob(Starbucks mention), my bad...

I too, was a full- leaded addict. Then I had that intervention from my cardioligst and the cardiac surgeon (who, BTW, had already booked his month long Carribean vacay based on my diagnosis), and I saw the light... Damn them!

I never heard of a surgeon booking anything more than a few days. And that's if they are lucky! Must be a lot of other surgeons that can do his job in your town.

I really like Folgers French Roast. And to be extra fancy, I sometimes sprinkle some cinnamon on top of the grounds before brewing…in my percolator. ❤ I know, I know, I sound like I’m rich but I’m really not. I only buy the coffee when it’s BOGO at Publix 😂 And you definitely wanna keep the cans to use as kitchen and/or garage containers. You can even put your kids’ Lego’s in them 😃

Have you tried Publix Columbian? I work there and we used to have an industrial coffee maker in the break room. It was really nice on a cold rainy day...I sprinkle nutmeg on my grounds. So weird we have almost the same habit, living in the same state...And my name start's with K as well.

I like my coffee dark and black. No need to dump in those contaminants. I had a coworker once that didn't like how black the inside my coffee cup was at work once, so she cleaned it. I had to reseason it all over again. Like the idea of putting some grounds under the lip to stay awake during church.

I have a friend who is a hardcore black coffee drinker, and that creamer one I have seen first hand😅

I'm sipping on some extra strong cold black instant coffee right now. People wonder how I do it. I like the taste. I started usyally drinking coffee with a lot of sugar and milk or cream and then I got used to using to less sugar over time for the sake of health and really liked regular black coffee and then I got used to cold instant coffee when camping out homeless and still wanting to drink coffee and get caffeinated conveniently. Now I usually only bother using heated water to make coffee if I feel cold and want to warm up or want to make it easier to occasionally mix in some honey, blackstrap molasses, or maple syrup.

As a decaf drinker ......sadly this is all true except the part about staying up for 5 nights. Usually if I feel sassy and have a regular cup early in the AM it will just keep me up until 5am the next day. I have ben known to drive all night on one Mcdonald's iced tea with sugar of course.

I must be old. I fondly remember working in a Texaco during high-school and along with full service at the pumps, had to keep a pot of complementary coffee brewing all day for the customers. No $7 a cup coffee flavored warm milkshakes from Starbucks.
