I know dudes who aren't into pale girls, and dudes who aren't into tan girls, so it's not really a stretch. I'm goth, I don't expect people who don't like that aesthetic or particular physical look to date me. If you don't feel attracted to someone, then you just don't feel attracted to someone. 🤷

There is also a point to be made about that you don't know to what traits you are attracted to until you meet them later on. I just don't understand how the issue of colorism was born. Okay with height, body build and inteligence i get it, but the idea of a race being a fetish is still pretty wild to me.

i'm not a bitter black woman.... i'm a bitter white woman.>.>..... not about this stupid issue, and I don't take my bitterness out on other people cause, honestly, who has the energy? I'm the only sibling not married yet out of 8 kids, and I even have NEICES AND NEPHEWS getting married before me, and I also have a psychotic ex-sister in-law that's SOMEHOW managed to rope FOUR DIFFERENT MEN into marrying her....and making them believe she's sane.....i mean...i can't even get one guy and she's been married 4 times.....and she belongs in a straight jacket....and my cooking is better than hers....>.>..... ok, I gave my once-a -year -i -don't -know- rant, and I feel better. Honestly it doesn't bother me until my overall depression symptoms start to spiral out of control first......or until my older sisters start rubbing it in....>.>....

If only there was a dating site for bitter dorks like us, that wasn't a one night stand or catfish bot farm. Ya either find one at school or work or you're forever alone these days. Not sure if the chance at love is worth risking a home for anyways, would never financially recover that loss without living in a sleeper cab till I die.

I'm about same age but a guy of one of six siblings. Got a family reunion in about a month and I'm sure this will come up. I've also had brothers and brother-in-laws, it's always the guys, say they are a little jealous of my single-hood. So it might be tougher being a single lady. I cook pretty well too because I eat what I cook. :)

Respectfully, maybe you are just not around that many men? When I worked with customers at a bank I was asked out at least three times a week, and that’s where I met my husband. I’m a youngish widow now (42), and I’m financially able to not work right now. As a result I haven’t met anyone. I’m planning on going back to in person church, and hopefully I will meet someone nice there.

Much like the guy who did the video... I'm just the messenger so don't at me. I wish I could remember who it was but I saw a TikTok recently by a Black guy who said he noticed how many Black college athletes (new to the NFL, etc) who seemed to only date White girls. He said he wondered why that was and so he asked a bunch of dudes he knew that were Black and had White girls. He even prefaced the video by saying he was not one of them and that he prefers Black women, saying, "I'm just the messenger." So he said that when he asked, many of them said something similar. Basically that they had dated Black women when they first got signed, or they were dating them when they got signed and that as soon as they had the potential to makes lots of money (they weren't making that money yet), the Black women started spending, started asking for luxury goods, expensive meals, etc., with one saying that she said, "You're good for it." Then when they dated White girls, even with the well-paid contracts they were offered, the White girls would still be cool with just grabbing coffee, getting some Chipotle, etc. Not asking for luxury goods, etc. And one said that his (White) girl didn't expect him to pay for everything. That she'd bring him coffee, food, etc., and come support him at practice and bring him things, including home-cooked meals. And he said there were a bunch of upset people saying, "But White girls insist on marriage and then they talk half your shit, while Black girls don't even ask for marriage."

I never thought a day would come when hours, nay days, weeks, and months would be devoted to the dating and/or relationship choices of individuals and/or groups of people. But then I’m old and met my hubby down the pub when he offered me a seat, told me he thought I was pretty then wandered off to play darts. He wandered back later bought me a drink and asked me out to dinner. We would still be married now if he hadn’t passed away. You love who you love. It’s the character of the person that counts, nothing else. A person might believe they have preferences as to appearance but character comes from deep within, appearance is superficial. No good being with a handsome man if he is a shitty person. And visa-versa. If one restricts one’s ability to choose a partner to a specific group then don’t complain if you can’t find a life partner.

Im black but i never understood the whole the black man is lesser then X group of men and the black women is lesser then X group of women thing. I really don't date black women not because black women are X thing just because most aren't into my hobbies hunting, fishing ,camping, drawing/animating along i don't like Rap i think it demeans us as race hell the only rapper i listen to is Mario Juda. Maybe because sadly alot of us are born out of wedlock so never got to see a happily married black man and women so they reject it. Simon Biles is good example she is happily married but bitter black women want her to divorce him to" keep his black ass in check?" is one of the tweets about that situation i saw. Sadly i hope this stuff gets sorted out eventually cause we used have great thing in the past. Most married in America, 80% of black children born in wedlock, Black Wall Street, we owned our banks etc.

Also black men hating on black women is so real and so disgusting, I dated a black dude who said he would never date a black woman because of the "attitude" and they "crazy", broke up with him so fast. Also just to add this that doesn't mean some black women can't be crazy, my bestie married a black man and their worst haters are black women, they call him a traitor and call her gis master or shes stealing him from the sisters.
