Love your videos. And don't take this the wrong way. But Mesquite is one of those words that ain't pronounced like it's spelled. (Was originally a Nahautl word, the language of the Aztecs IIRC, that was borrowed by the Spanish and then by English speakers from the Spanish, so things got a little off.) I live in Texas about an hour away from there and it's pronounced muh' SKEET.

Most hate crime statutes explicitly say that the victim has to be a minority for the qualifier to apply. So no, it doesn't. In 9/10 jurisdictions hate crime statutes are just qualifiers that say "if white add 5 years at sentencing", and they should be abolished as the institutionally racist two-tiered legal codes they are.

The term "reverse racism" should say it all. The new definition coined in the 80s says you have to be in a majority class to be a racist. It implies that hate directed toward a person in a majority class is justified or at least not the same as hate directed at a minority class. Prior to that we were taught that hate directed toward any person or group because of race or ethnicity was racist.

I'm Indian and ironically, the most racist people towards me were black ladies lol. Not white dudes. But I have racists in my family too. Idiots like this exist in every culture. It's sad, but the highest % of racism is in Asia. It's so normalized here, censoring black people in movies, we're even racist to each other lol. But oddly enough no one talks about the problem in Asia. Only about "European racism", when they are statistically the most welcoming to foreigners.

I understand why some people are angry at white people over slavery, but the problem is they're angry because they've been taught a one sided depiction of history. White people were slaves, right up until the mid nineteenth century. White people in Europe who lived in coastal towns lived in fear of the Barbary Pirates who sailed through Europe grabbing white people, or, as they called them, white gold, to be sold to African and Arab Slave Masters in the North African slave markets. Slavery was never about race or racism, it was always about power. Those who have it, and those who dont. Every race inflicted slavery on those weaker than them, every race is guilty of it, and we need to teach that properly in schools. The hate and the anger has gone too far.

I had a teacher for 2nd grade that thought like this except she was Mexican-American like most of my classmates who were learning english. She decided to teach the entire year in Spanish and tried to fail me. She gave me my only F, in handwriting, because it was something that was subjective and told my mom I didn’t pay attention in class. It made me a better student because I had to teach myself and it accelerated my learning to read. These skills stretched to college so I am not upset I developed them due to her. I am very angry with her not for myself but because I realized years later that she hurt all my classmates that had to learn English for the next grade since the teacher didn’t speak any Spanish. My husband is an immigrant from Mexico and his experience learning English was much different than my classmates and he became fluent by the end of second grade.

I’m conservative- hell most of my family is conservative including my grandparents. My little sister is dating a sweet, and handsome young black man. Guess what my family didn’t do? We didn’t flip out and say anything racist…. Because we are not disgusting racists. My little sister and her boyfriend went on a camping trip with my very conservative grandparents. Not once did they treat him like trash nor did they judge him for being black. My family absolutely loves him. His family isn’t supportive of him being with white girls and his own parents abused him physically and verbally. I hope he stays with my little sister, and can be a stepdad to my niece and nephew that adore him as well. We want him to be part of our family because we see how happy my little sister is, and he’s 100% better than my sisters ex husband that beat her. Not once were we raised to date only white people. We were raised to treat everyone equal- and only judge their personalities not how they look. I dated a young black kid in high school, he was handsome and sweet and his dad was a police officer. My family loved him- until he got into trouble with weed. His own dad turned him in and I was told by my parents to break up with him. That was the only reason. And my children- I want them to love whoever they want as long as they treat my kids good- I’m happy. I can’t imagine being so racist. It’s so disgusting. And even asking for the white boyfriend to be murdered is SICK. She needs to be locked up in a padded cell.

What are the chances that the only reason she was "investigated" and eventually fired was because she outed the school administrators? Think about it. She was happily gloating about she faced no ramifications for her blatant racism and prejudices, saying that after meeting with school officials she was only told to "watch what she posts" on social media. This is her basically admitting that the school had little issue with her racism and prejudice as long as she wasn't so blatant about it. From the events that occurred, it seems to me that they only decided to do what was right only after she exposed the school for covertly condoning her behavior. It's not uncommon, event at the local level, for educators to be indoctrinated into the dichotomy around the academic definition of racism that defines it a prejudice + power. Which is actually the definition of institutional racism, but I digress. So I seriously doubt the school fired her for her racism as much as for her daring in her arrogance to exposing their tacit support of her behavior by telling her to simply "be careful what you post." Could she be lying about the schools initial reaction, sure. But I have my doubts. I've long stop giving people the benefit of the doubt in situations like this.

The first time I dated a Black woman was when I was younger, it was not socially acceptable in 1995 (yes I'm old) lol I received racist remarks from both White and Black probably pretty equally, I'm just glad bigoted ideas aren't acceptable anymore

I honestly have just given up on these people so props to you for hanging in there. If youre a racist bitter person who ends up alone because of your own hatred and bitterness i just see it as a "them problem" thats been totally self caused and hence no sympathy for them. If they get sacked due to their own bitterness and racism... Boo hoo.... Good - why would a business want to employ a known racist ?🙏 Im sure yet again however these individuals will play the victim card as thats effectively their whole personality - its never their fault, always other peoples.

My Mom gave me grief for asking a Black woman out. I explained who I choose to spend my time with was not her business. Mom's reply, but she works where I work. As I left I replied so what. Too bad more of the white girls I dated weren't as nice as she was.

3:05 she is talking about making her own sister resent and hate her because of her own racism. That's literally destroying a relationship with someone who would have your back no matter what because of your own hate of another person.
