After using mine for two years, keeping a car, a truck, a boat and a house in a reasonably clean state, I couldn't be more satisfied. Just poking around KZread, I see several professional car detailers are using this exact Bissell 3624 day in, day out to do their job and keep customers happy. That says something.

Our yorkie had a really bad stomachache. We got this in delivery on Saturday afternoon. He launched on Sunday. I had to quick learn how to use this. Filled it with very hot water and cleaner. POOF! No stain after a little work! Our first stain cleaner! After reading a bunch of reviews, I finally locked into this unit. VERY GLAD THAT I DID! Thanks for the video! Your video closed the deal for me! Thanks for taking the time to make and upload the review!

Bought this for small jobs on the car interior, but ended up cleaning the entire house with it instead, rugs and carpeting included. Was shocked to see it remove 20 year old dried up stains from an old couch on the first pass. 10/10 would recommend.

I have had mine for a few years and I agree, it is fantastic. I live in a condo in NYC, where it is all small spaces everywhere. This is the perfect size for me. It removed a coffee stain from a creme carpet that I had not been able to remove for years.

01:25 Owned mine for 5+ years. Holds up fine. Use case is for car upholstry cleaning, couches, and the occasional spot spill. Been using Forex cleaning solution. Suction hose gets a bit gunky as expected but doesnt hurt the performance. As its a vac its a but loud to use in a car, use protection. One flaw I’ve had in it is that the clean water tank isnt dispensing water as well as it used to, I’ve had to shim it open, or maybe I just need new parts. I only use clean warm water as a rinse in the tank now and I use a separate sprayer for dispensing solution. Pump after 6+ months storage needs to be primed.

I have this Bissell and I love it. I don't ever use my huge stand-up one anymore. Too heavy. I have 3 cats and they all seem to barf. A lot. But no biggie. This Bissell works great. I did notice that the hose inside is filthy. I did what was suggested---just suck up clean water with some soap to clean out the hose. It got a lot of the gunk out but there's still a lot of gunk still stuck in the hose that won't come out. Because the hose is clear, you can totally see the stuff sticking there. How do I get all that crap out? It's making the unit smell bad. I've yet to see a single video explaining how to clean it out properly when just sucking up clean water doesn't do the job.

Try to take the hose off the unit completely and then take it to your bath and run hot water though it and shake the hose a little but be careful not to split it while you shake it. I do this with my vacuum hose as it gets dirty inside also.

Late to the party, but here goes. While I love my Rug Doctor portable cleaner, I'm going to switch to the Bissell for a couple of reasons. Fairly early on, the Rug Doctor started leaking from the bottom. There appears to be a thin rubber seal that broke. I've had to use it with a trash bag wrapped around the bottom for over a year. Plus, the tiny nozzle head on the hose just broke and it's impossible to get another one. All in all, I'm hoping that the customer service and quality of the Bissell will be better.

I am curious how the premium spot cleaners perform compared to the full premium Carpet cleaner on spots. Clearly the smaller unit is more portable, but if one owns the larger unit, is there value in the smaller? Is the smaller actually as good or better at a few small spots? Also, it looks like there is no rinse or neutralizer step, if the cleaning solution is mixed with the hot water.

This is a fairly popular entry level unit for auto detailers. In that context, standard practice is to spray whatever cleaner or shampoo you're using directly onto the carpet with a spray bottle or pump sprayer. After agitation with your brush of choice, everything can be sucked up. The solution tank is filled with hot water only.

Apparantly it's a design flaw dealing with the way the hose wraps up on the machine when you store it. The storage kinks the hose near the end attachment and leads to a crack over time. I would say to just keep an eye out for kinks or just dont wrap it up like that.

You didn't empty the dirty water tank the right way. You need to rotate the handle all the way over the top and to the back of the tank to unlock the top portion. Then you can empty the tank with ease.

You can, you need to force the handle over it. It's very tight and will rub, but it fits. This design makes it impossible to remove while the tank is on the machine, so no spills.

@@VacuumWars The Hose just needs to be better hose quality and would last years. after 8 months its not my got to anymore. Amazon Customers verified buyers said the same thing. cheap hose and most difficult to replace. Great Suction. Threw it away and bought a Mighty Lite 8070 for $700.

For occasional use (Car detailing every 3 months), its fine. Owned mine for about 5 years so far. Always kept it in the shed and throughly rinsed out the hose. But yeah, the material has always concerned me. If it gets used once a week, I’d go more heavy duty. Didn’t like how the hose was fully attached to the machine to allow me to really flush it out. Weekend warrior though, its great value.

Thank you for your review but it really doesn't tell the basics, in my opinion, the review speaks more about the shampoo you use than really the machines themselves. I suggest to include the size of the motor (or wattage) also, the vacuum produced in mm/hg. But the real test should be measuring the amount of liquid consumed in the clean tank and the amount of liquid recovered in the dirty one. That is what really matters!!! This will show the true performance of the machine as a whole. The cleaner doesn't care if picks up water or soda or oil, it will pick up whatever it is based on the vacuum produced by the fan/motor and the design of the mouthpiece. But again thank you for your review.

Little tip for people. Especially is focusing on a small area spray the surface directly with cleaner and work it in with brush then extract using just hot water. Is you use cleaner then you leave a bit of cleaning solution on your carpet/chair whatever.

Excellent advise. That gives the operator time to agitate & work in the cleaner, give the cleaning solution a minute for the chemical to work then use the machine to rinse & dry. Is that correct?

Design flaws. Sprayer just soaks my floors instead of where i put my nozzle. The upright cleaners dont do that. The plastic on the nozzle does not come off in order to clean. The tanks are rounded so you need an extra hand to hold them up when filling solution

10 years ago we had the Bissell spot clean. It was awful. I think I used it twice and now it's in a landfill. Junk. Maybe they're better. Sucks I helped fund their experiments and they're junk is in a landfill before they have one that works. Does this model work? I'll never know. Never buying Bissell again.
