    I've been comparing models and reading reviews and on the Bissell Canada site there are several low star reviews because people are complaining about how difficult it is to empty, so you're not alone, I just got lucky and figured it out from video reviews like you. I was on the fence about buying this model because of the emptying issue and low reviews yet conflicted because it's also the best in all other tests and I really wanted this kind of cleaning power. Glad I found your comment, it made everything make sense for me, so thank you also.

    I had a BIG Bissell carpet shampooer that I got about 30 years ago.. It operated like this except that it had a long wand with a sprayer on a large head for floor cleaning, and it was a big round canister... Bissell makes the best, as far as I'm concerned.. BUT >>>> the main reason I'm typing a messege is to tell you that you are an excellent teacher. (You're very pleasant and very thorough) AND there's no stupid music or added sound effects! By the way, don't wrap the suction cord around the circle handle. If you have room leave it flex because the tension will create a kink on the top end and will rip into the suction hose leaving the unit unusable. The plastic is made of very cheap materials. What I do is leave it flex and wrap electrical tape on the top end for support. There's tons of review and this defect.

  • @Aeromousikos

    @Aeromousikos

    3 жыл бұрын

    I think it's safe to say the cleaning solution should be good sitting for only a day or so - about as long as you'd want to leave a glass of water sitting out in the kitchen. Before use, just mix it up by shaking. Generally, you want to avoid leaving things sitting wet - to avoid mold and mildew. Always let the components air-dry after cleaning.

    Hi. Did the spot cleaner come with cleaning solution for the spot cleaner or for the upright carpet cleaner?

  • @Aeromousikos

    @Aeromousikos

    2 жыл бұрын

    The spot cleaner comes with a small bottle of the Bissell brand cleaning solution. I purchased a large bottle of rug cleaner at my local grocery. I think just about any brand of solution will work, as long as it's for a carpet shampoo/cleaner - formulated for low suds etc. Follow the directions for the right mix ratio.

    Can this be used on mattresses? Is this the 1558e model? How do you get front plastic bit off attachments to clean them?

  • @Aeromousikos

    @Aeromousikos

    2 жыл бұрын

    The model featured is number 3624. Mattress use would probably be tricky. There's a lot of absorption material underneath the surface or inside of the mattress. So you would want to make sure after attempting to clean, you have the mattress exposed to the open air for quite some time. You don't want moisture to get trapped inside the mattress and cause mold.

    WRONG! The dirty water tank doesn't hold 3x as much as the clean water tank. You obviously missed the max. FILL line clearly marked on the front of the dirty water tank and never mentioned the black "float" in the dirty water tank which prevents it over-filling. The float wont allow the dirty water tank to fill any further than 0.8L Both tanks hold 0.8L Hope this clarifies the oversight of the Uploader for other viewers :) Also, the Manual specifically states to first add water to the clean water tank, THEN add 2oz of Bissel formula. This prevents the formula from creating excess foam when filling the tank with water. Pause @4:48 to see all the foam. If he actually took the time to READ the manual he would know all this LMAO Typical consumer. Has no idea about agitation with a "Drill Brush" before extracting. He expects the Bissel to do all the work, as many do.
