Granted I do think Ryan IS a touch crazy….But Joaquin Phoenix is exactly what crossed my mind when I watch Garcia’s sit down with PBD the other day That was a multi month thing and I don’t know what else to compare it to but Joaquin when he acted like he wanted to be a hip hop artist 😂

I think ryan was really putting on a front cause the commission said even before the fight; he passed the mental evaluation and there seems to be nothing wrong mentally. I’ve had mental evaluations for the army back in the days and those evaluations usually go really deep, so they WILL find out if you’re acting.

I get the cheesy joke, but Joaquin Pheonix isn't a good actor though. Dude plays the joker and suddenly he is amazing lol. He has been been around atleast a decade & never been a good actor. Acting weird is easy for anyone especially when it's acting like the joker. Btw, heath ledger was the same.he was a nobody until comic fan boys raved over him

@bisping hey mike, i wanted to say thank you for making me feel better about having a fake eye. I lost my right eye in combat and it's always made me feel very insecure. But seeing you be so open about your eye has shown me i shouldn't care what anyone else thinks. You need to get you some unique eyes made. The guy that made my eye also made me another one free that is a military purple heart medal instead of a eye. Which is the medal you get for being wounded in combat. Look I personally don’t like Haneys outfit in that interview that’s definitely not my style but I’m struggling to see how it has anything to do with taking the fight seriously 😭 Ryan is wearing a very smart outfit yet couldn’t make weight (whether it’s on purpose or not). Ryan also said he didn’t try for this fight, which means he didn’t take it seriously and he’s dressed very smart. That’s like saying a CEO of an Apple doesn’t take his job seriously because he doesn’t go to work in a suit. Now if devin Haney was a lawyer I’d see the point

But whoever thinks it was all an act is really stupid imo… At the end of the day, Ryan was drinking during camp, „lost the title“, missed weight and was fined 1,5 million. I think he’s manic depressive fr. My dad was and no, im not projecting. I’m just explaining that he could act and appear “normal”, charming, eloquent and intelligent in less than a day after a full on manic episode that had went on for days. Appearing normal means nothing. That kid isn’t normal imo. It may have been an act to help lean into what was already there, but we see how Ali’s “act” ended for him. There was something dark in him as well. These guys take a beating in the head their entire developmental life. It takes a rare breed anyway.

Uh no, this is a PR rescue mission. Mike, don't be blind, no pun intended. You can't say he didn't take the fight seriously of course, he obviously trained. But he also missed weight, and was perfectly happy to pay for that advantage. You cannot fake the cocaine nasally voice and drawn out eyes that he had in a few videos

Ryan Garcia brought some REAL interesting promotion back into boxing.. For years it's been dry and boring, they could never compete with the likes of UFC when it comes to fight promotion. But Ryan might have single handedly saved boxing in that regard.
