Bishop Daniel E. Flores, Diocese of Brownsville, offered the third in a six-part lecture series "The Only Solution is Love: The Eucharist and Catholic Social Teaching," which took place in the Eck Visitors Center at the University of Notre Dame.
This lecture series, developed by Michael Baxter, Ph.D., is sponsored by the McGrath Institute for Church Life, and co-sponsored by the Center for Social Concerns and the Department of Theology.
In his lecture, Bishop Flores describes the dynamism inherent within the Eucharistic celebration that both names Christ’s mission to the poor and makes us capable of participating in it. The theme included addressing “who are the poor?”
