I remember coming to my grandparents and as soon as I was able I was looking throughout the house for the giant batch of said waffles. Later on I helped her in making some of them. And not on any cheap-ass electric appliance, but on stove top with a cast iron waffle maker. Bloody loved those, especially those made with caraway seeds.

Funny thing about old soviet equipment like this waffle machine. This thing will last eternity. Those were build to last. Same with old Unitra radio my grandma used to had. Now it plays at my workplace.

Yeah, i recently got an electric handwhisker built in good old DDR. Couldn't be happier. I can probably give it to my great-grandchildren!
