Billy was also always the nicest, soft spoken, humble, and always the most talented person in the room. He used to say putting the tambourine on a track was to ‘sanctify’ it, as he always stayed close to his Gospel roots. We all have our demons we fight.

Nothing but JOY. I was fortunate to see Billy perform three times: As an opening act for Grand Funk, with George Harrison in 1974, and with the Rolling Stones in 1975. He was brilliant in all three capacities - so thankful for him.

I was born in that era, the music was great. This Sunday I’ll be 77 years old and my heart will rock on the beach in Brigantine, New Jersey. Family and friends will eat, drink and listen to many Rock & Roll Bands, toes in the sand and my shaken body in my wheelchair.💃❤️✝️🇺🇸

Billy and I grew up in the same part of Los Angeles, although I am 30 years younger. And as a huge Beatles fan, I always admired him. The most talented of the "fifth Beatles" :) (Sutcliffe, Martin, Best, etc.)

I saw him with the stones in Ft. Collins 1975. He played keys for them and did a couple of his hits. Another person also played piano at that show, some guy called "Reg from Watford." Mick never said his stage name, but I had met him a year before and recognized him.
