Nothing but JOY. I was fortunate to see Billy perform three times: As an opening act for Grand Funk, with George Harrison in 1974, and with the Rolling Stones in 1975. He was brilliant in all three capacities - so thankful for him.

It was a fantastic time musically. The echoes of punk, the new wave thing, this rockabilly, power pop, ska, mod revival, the electronic thing. It had another year or so to go before the establishment re-asserted their authority.

Have loved this band since 1977 when I saw them in concert, we just saw them at the HickoryNewton NC speedway for Rockfest 2 and after all these years still AWESOME, still one if my favorite rock/funk bands. True legends of talent . I’ve seen them in several cities and always attend when they’re within 3 hours .

Just heard "Winning" on my car radio, and I came in to look up this song. I had the "Zebop!" album when it came out--bought it for Winning, but then fell in love with this song even more. Great vocal, Alex! Great band, great everything. I sure miss music like this today, but thank goodness great music like this lives on.

This is one of these songs that you wish to have heard when it came out, but to me the pretenders got wiped out by the british invasion, the new wave. They kind of got left behind all those great bands. But this song surely is a keeper
