Billy Butcher Origin - Most Ruthless, Controversial But Strangely Likeable Anti-Hero Of The Boys

There are various reasons why The Boys has become such a successful program, one of which is the characters, who have genuinely become the show's bright star. Whether it's The Boys, The Seven, or anything in between, there are usually one or more characters that turn out to be a joy to watch, and Mother's Milk is no exception. He's a great character that always adds a little something to every scene he's in. However, there are several unsolved issues concerning this figure that need to be addressed.
Created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, there is a dark, disturbing reason as to why Marvin T. Milk is called the Mother's Milk. While the program pays attention to the source material, it makes several changes to the text-to-screen representation.
While the comics provide a compelling justification for this, the program deviates from the source material when it comes to Marvin's genesis story.

The Boys never truly had powers in the comics. Billy and Mallory had come up with pill form of Compound V that they took when they knew they would be going head to head with superpowered individuals. The pills gave them powers for 24 hours then they would return to normal. That way Billy was never a hypocrite but still had the edge whenever they needed. And it was a limited supply. Hence why Billy took down the Boys after he had accomplished his mission. Removing the last people who had gotten powers with the use of Compound V.

I'm sorry, but that is way off. Hughie, Billy, Frenchie, and Mallory were all given a V variant cooked up by the CIA. It was a one-shot system booster that increased strength (at least in Hughie's case) by a factor of around 15-20x. It similarly boosted their stamina, immune systems, and durability. However, it did not make them bulletproof. MM was born with his strength (thought it kicked in later in life) because his mom was exposed at her job before he was born. The Female was exposed to a powerful V variant cooked up by a Japanese scientist when she was an infant. Interestingly, this scientist worked for a competitor of Vought, and he was the only one who ever cracked the secrets of V. Of course, the first thing the baby Female did was kill him, so the knowledge was lost with him.

Butcher in the comics felt like a sadistic frat boy not like a man that lost everyone and everything he loves witch I guess could be a copeing mechanism However in the show he acts smug and arrogant most of the time but there are moments when the mask slips and you see the vengefull man underneath, also in the show it feels like he kept some of his humanity (thanks to hughie)

I absolutely hate that term fridging. they do the same thing with female characters. and it makes sense that the bad people the enemies of the good guy would then Target said good guy's family once they learn their identity. I can't believe I have to give credit to the CW. but even the reverse flash in the CW. kill the flash AKA Barry's mother cuz he couldn't beat him in a fight. he said they've been feuding for centuries one can't beat the other. hell in the comics reverse flash constantly killed a lot of berries love interest including if I remember correctly and one issue he even killed a woman that barry married at the wedding. to torture and torment Barry

I guess reason why Butcher is likable despite being a psychopath is because he's an opposite of Superman/Clark Kent. He has a toxic environment while growing up unlike Clark and he's not afraid of killing people in a fight.
