as a 90s kid (born 1985) i agree, but boomers will say "miss the 50s before color television" and ghosts will say "miss the 1200s when a crusade for a book i can't read against heathens who promote a book they can't read made you appreciate the simple things in life." quark-gluon plasma will say "miss the 15(10^9) BCs before we had to confine into hadrons smh." we all have our baises. the 90s were the bomb tho.

Such a profound meaning....gets me too

I'm from Texas, stereotypical Texan. Cowboy hat, boots, Wranglers, accent every thing. I was a journeyman and working in the northeast, and Ohio Valley area, when this song came out. I'd hit the local watering holes/clubs, and bars. Needless to say, after a dance to this song, the local women were tearing my clothes off of me as we were walking to my pick up, or their vehicles. I had one girl up in Ohio actually grab me by my shirt collar, plant a hard kiss right on my mouth, and tell me what she was going to do to me that night. Oh yeah. A good song has that affect on some. I was in my late 20's then. Of course I'm married with children, and grand children now, but the memories of this song take me to a time back in the day.

I was very young when I first heard this on the radio, had no idea what it meant, just liked the tune as a kid. listening to the lyrics now as an adult, and just getting out of a relationship where I clearly cared more than the other person, with that nostalgia added to it, it just crushes me. really glad to have found this again right now. just hits that exact right nerve.

Still remember when I was living in Toronto and my lover of many years made me another mixed tape. He said, I found the perfect song for us. I asked him what it was, he told me I'd have to wait and see. It was this song. I ugly cried like I've never ugly cried before listening to this. We've lost contact because ...things got complicated, but I still think of him every time I hear this and in my mind, we're dancing like no one else is in the room.

My local radio station was playing this song every morning since I've got a new job. ❤️

Completely forgot about this song and haven’t heard it probably since the year 2000 or so. I’m doing a tattoo last night and my client is playing DJ and this shit pops on and I instantly stop and right as the vocals start, I just spit it out, “Hello” then I’m like wait, how do I even know this song?! And then literally we sat there reminiscing about the late 90s and I was born in 90, so here I am at age 33, hadn’t heard this in 20 plus years and I’m just incredibly grateful for that intense feeling of nostalgia that hit me! Had forgotten about this song, & out of nowhere it came on my playlist. This Saturday 6/15/19 will mark 6 months since my husband passed away. He loved the rain so much, while I was the opposite. I'm slowly starting to see the beauty in a cloudy, rainy day. Miss you love.

A classic tune from the good ole '90s! This particular tune is so heartwarming and feel all nostalgic to hear it on a rainy cold night 👌💥 The melody and the mtv seems like just being produced yesterday despite several decades has been leaving us - the era was filled with timeless song, fantastic vocals, incredible lyrics and on top of it is the versatility of genres to listen about on radio, every single week! I remember paying attentions to charts, waiting for the release day, fanzine, cut out clips from newspapers, posters in magazines....can't wait till 'Rick Dees chart' comes on air! Nowadays, things looks so much easier, but the quality has been degrade drastically. Oh, the irony! Thanks for nice teenage years back then - and here is me contemplating... cherishing the era that would never going to be ever happening again. Everything was simpler

It's raining. I'm listening to rain songs. This was and is still awesome

1997 - I was 14 years old. When look at this mtv I feel vibes of golden 90's all packed into one😢. A roadtrip song! Long-lost classic MTV that is hmmm makes it feel like home. I can recall, full of talents, their lyrical beats are effortless beauty and easy to relate to the heart and soul! I wonder, where are some of these gone, a rare craftmanship nowadays, you can say. About this golden era, artists created legendary experimenting MTVs, as well - it was certainly the wonder we once had. Miss 80's and 90's immensely😭 Great entertainment. Complete package 😮🙁 That's what it is all about that makes 90's incredible!

From the very first chord of this song, I'm immediately transported back to my high school days in the late 90s. God, what I wouldn't give to be able to go back in time and relive that incredible era. I've been on a huge nostalgia kick lately. Maybe it's because my husband of 22 years, who was the love of my life since I was only 18, very suddenly and unexpectedly passed away 6 months ago, but I just miss the simpler, happier times.

I was so young. So full of hope. I was the purest version of myself. I miss my twenties in a way that hurts till death. I’ve lost myself. Crying so hard listening to this song. Miss you, shadows of friends, animals, parties and joy.
