So many reasons for me that’s made it meaningful... - Their music saves the universe, creating the conditions for centuries of lasting peace for all humanity and non-human life. - Bill & Ted proved everyone wrong that they would never amount to anything good in life. But, they proved it to themselves in the end that they were capable of greatness. - To see two childhood best friends overcomes the odds and fulfill their dreams was a heartwarming thing to see. Especially in those two moments in the end where they play their guitars back-to-back and then followed up with that high five. - Giving God glory and showing gratitude for how their lives turned out. - In the blink of an eye (literally) maturing from immature 20 somethings to the senior ambassadors of rock n roll. - Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey had an ending that inspires hope. What started out to be a screwball series about teen hijinks and time travel became something much more touching in the end. I don’t think that was planned. Because the Battle of the Bands was not the original uplifting ending for the movie and the song played on stage for the live audience was not Kiss’ cover by Argent. Post-production by the studio with those magazine and news clips perfectly timed with the last minute choice of “God Gave Rock n Roll To You” was one of those rare cinematic moments of catching lightning in a bottle. Right up there with the ending of Rocky and Rocky 2.

My favorite thing about this has always been that they eventually make it clear that "God Gave Rock & Roll to You" isn't actually what Wyld Stallyns are playing - The Song is left to our imaginations, where it can't disappoint (in contrast to the end of Mr. Holland's Opus, where we all listened to his piece and said "Yeah, he was a better teacher than a composer.").

@richiefranklin76 @CageCat I’m so reassured to know that there are fellow intellectuals who are also concerned about the timeline implications of this third movie. Surely someone has fucked with the rise of Bill and Ted and erased this concert from the collective minds of the world’s history like the villain in Bogus Journey attempted himself, or maybe someone has gone through and altered their rise as a global powerhouse to bring forth false rumors such as Death lip syncing during his solo career. Maybe the devil himself found a way to get revenge at them skipping hell by arising from his seat in the netherworlds to go back to pre concert Bill and Ted and pluck them from existence before having the chance to play this world unifying concert, if that’s the case then maybe god himself descends from the heavens to fight satan 1v1 to finally restore the correct timeline and save humanity’s future whilst also choosing Bill and Ted personally as the angelic rock and roll playing saviors of the human race??? Why aren’t we all talking about this???? This is more important than anything going on right now!!!

This is more important than anything going on right now!!!

the real ending of bill & ted
Happy 30th anniversary, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey! Released 07/19/1991
Still my favorite movie ended! This was just perfection,
I ALWAYS WANTED TO MEET BILL & TED
Legend has it that they had to put the movie production on hold and had to wait until Alex Winter's beard was at the right exact length for this scene...
Im so glad they only ever made 2 of these. Definitely doesnt need to be a trilogy.
This is going to be played on my funeral :)
Bill & Ted 3 has been officially announced!!! Yes!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Most Excellent news!
🤟 this rocks 🤟 epic song Station 🤟 most triumphant 🤟
The Good Robot Usses were high budget af back then.
This should be the anthem of human kind
In this terrible times of division and a pandemic we should learn from the ending of "bill & ted face the music". We are all the same band, be excellent to each other and party on dudes!
I miss the 80's/early 90's and all its epic cheesy glory.
From when Bill & Ted became KISS, and played an astonishing 6 guitars at the time with only for hands and two instruments. Movie magic.

Even better they could belt out the vocals without standing near the microphones or opening their mouths.

Don’t get no better then this lead in to a kick ass song! 🤘🏼
They just don't make fun movies like this anymore. Everyone is so interested in money. The only movie of recent years to come close is Deadpool.

I saw this in the theater with my family when I was 6 years old. It's still one of the best memories of a shitty childhood. Bill and ted 4 ever!!
Bill & Ted 3 will have their work cut out for them as they would have to find a song, that is suppose to save the world, to top this!
peace and good times

How? The actors are all middle aged. The guy who played Rufus is dead. The ending of this movie was pretty conclusive and didn't leave anywhere to go.

Best ending to bill and ted bogus journey in the world
I love this scene. HOWEVER - there are 4 guitars playing in the beginning. The lead either has two guitars, playing in a one octave split or a foot pedal that simulates that, and the rhythm that Ted is playing is definitely doubled and split left and right. But it sounds fucking AMAZING.
Love this film
My 2 favourite things coming together bill and ted and kiss 🤟🤟 party on dudes
