I always get kinda choked up at this scene, just the idea of a society being able to actually meet the people who put them on their path. And to be bill and ted and feel sense that feeling of forshadowing of greatness, you can see it in their faces as they look around at everyone strumming, a stunned kind of humbleness. Its a campy movie and concept for how they changed the world, but the feeling behind it is awesome, definately one of my favs out there.

I know what you mean. I was picked on alot in the 80's in Edmonton, (lots of Asian refugees from the wars settled there) My parents weren't though they came here on their own. But still lots of animosity towards the Asian community, especially in the 80's.This and other innocent movies from this time really got me through some very rough shit... Helped me decide my career path of being a helping person (volunteerism, drug psychologist-homeless advocate-mental health advocate). That this future is still very possible. I kept on trying to self improve with this goal to make this "Excellent" future a reality. However, I'm too "excellent" to others and they take advantage of me often. This is a big no no in the human service field, sadly we need boundaries. But I want to have boundaries I want to help as much people as I can. Like Fluttershy or Penny does (Doctor Horrible). So movies like this is essential to my self care.

I love how, to these people, Bill and Ted are these legendary heroes who pretty much made their awesome future society possible. They grew up learning about them. And maybe in their history, it records that they briefly visited the future, but didn't include details of that part. And imagine being one of those people there, and one day the ancient legendary heroes just show up, and you're like "Oh shit, is this THAT?! Is this when they went to?" and then "OMG THEY SAID THE THING!!!"

I was moved by this scene. The way the people of the future didn't need words to communicate, the way thoughts and feelings seemed to flow between them all, like they're all (on some level), one. Ted got it. He understood. So did Socrates. I imagine a lot of the creativity that made the group famous came from Ted. I feel the potential for this kind of joining in myself and a lot of people. That's why I was so moved by this scene. I feel it. Its hard to explain but I feel it.

Keeping it rare makes it all the more BEAUTIFUL. We can NEVER PLAY THE SONG OUT because all we hear is its peak and not the whole. This song is worthy of such an honor. I hope people/countries/religion can one day set aside their differences, petty quarrels, hatred, and grudges and come together as a unified global culture. Within everyone lays the ability to make miracles happen if we all came together we would be able to over come any thing like diseases and endure any hardship and not even the stars would be out of our reach

The best part of this video is Socrates laughing, not speaking the language but transcending that and relying on human emotion.

This scene is more moving than those of a thousand others who try so hard. That such a movie can evoke a feeling of epic momentusness is amazing. One of my absolute favorite scenes in a movie.

If only the future could be like this! This was always my favorite scene other than the part where Beethoven discovers synthesizers!!! . A very romantic and poetic scene. Robbi Robb's music with the citizens of the future coming out and air guitaring. The atmosphere was terrific! Always makes me think of when I was 11 years old watching this for the first time again.

The oblivious innocence of this moment was the best part of this whole scene. To be the ones to bring peace to the future while at the same time they are meeting in person legends who brought the world together through their music is just awesome.

1:12 goosebumps EVERY time Music make not 'save the world' or create world peace; but this scene is a perfect example of how it can inspire others, lift them up, give them hope, fulfillment, etc. It's why many of us musicians do it. Seeing the affect it has on others is the true reward

I loved this scene as well. To me the most profound, and shows that as far as the future is concerned, how much the "losers" will mature and grow and ultimately effect the future of the entire world. The song itself I fell in love with the first time as well. More of a 80's metal ballad
