100% correct. Im nearly 62 still wish i had seen BE BOP DELUXE live. That would round it off for me. All my heroes of music. Seen Bowie, seen Tom Waits seen Television, Bill would have been awesome.

No better guitarist or musician on the planet than Bill Nelson. Fact. I've followed this guy for decades & his range of musicality is astounding.

I agree 100%. I've loved his playing from the first time I saw him perform with Be Bop Deluxe in 1975. He is the best in my opinion.

Totally agree he's definitely a musicians musician and a prophet... Just listen to the lyrics of "New Precision" and Blue Moons and Laughing Guitars

Long time fan, this is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. It's like heaven.

Now that was beautiful. I know most of my generation love Bill Nelson from his BBD days but I can take or leave most of his glitter pop-rock - However, his album "The Love That Whirls" changed my life as a guitar player. I still can be transported when he does these incredible instrumental interludes. I know this one is from a later album but they are all of a type that I find exquisite. Similar in style to the classic Fripp-Eno collaborations. Of course Bill did these recording all on his own. Nice to see him still out there and being appreciated.

Fuuuuucccckkk. I've loved this guy's music since 75, here I am 2015 in Cha Am Thailand crying my eyes out at the beauty of his music. Bill Nelson you are a fucking genius, thank you for all the joy you've given me over the years!

My favourite guitar player of all time. Musical genius up there with Page, Clapton, Hendrix, Gilmour and all the other guitar greats etc etc.

I'm crying to the sky

Just spent a week walking in the Yorkshire Dale's, I had a Bill Nelson tee shirt on and was meandering through the village of Kettlewell when I was stopped by a fellow walker who commented on the shirt. Turns out this lady was from Croatia and had been a BBD,Bill Nelson fan since her youth......we spoke for an hour or more purely on how Bill's music had influenced our lives. We went our separate ways both in agreement that we have been blessed by his musicality. The man is a genius.

Always a fan because he keeps doing things like this. Beauty, on guitar.

Everytime I hear this, it brings tears to my eyes...

He is truly one of the GREATS. Beautiful guitar player - born with it in his hands.

Absolutely sublime . The only time I saw Be Bop Deluxe was if my memory serves me correctly round about 1974 /5 at Strathclyde University , Glasgow . Something tells me they supported Cockney Rebel !!! I wish I could be clear on that but 40 years is a long time and the old brain cells have taken a pounding along the way .

I think you're right. I know they definitely DID support Cockney Rebel on a tour, but I can't remember the year. Though I remember hearing at the time that they blew Harley & co offstage!

Ug. I saw Cockney Rebel open for the Kinks when they debuted "School Boys in Disgrace" in NYC '76. I was in the first row and dosed. I hated Cockney posing Rebel (as did most of the Kinks faithful). Being in the first row at the Beacon Theater for the Kinks' production concerts in that period was amazing. Headmaster don't beat me I beg you...

Bill Nelson. Such a wonderful guitar player. I see him using an E-Bow and I think of one of Bill's more high profile acolytes, Stuart Adamson, God Rest Him. Lovely. Absolutely lovely. Thanks very much.

Seen be bop deluxe late 70s strathclyde Uni Glasgow stood right beside him on a foot high stage… genius.. and the late great William Stuart adamson.. got his guitar influence of Nelson.. bill thought very highly of Stuart in the skids.. then one of the best bands live…that not many could match at there peak.. big country.. Nelson wrote if there is heaven it’s gates are open to Stuart.

What an amazing talent this man is from the first time I saw be bop deluxe I have been in awe of this great guitarist long may be reign as one the best electronic wizards 😎

I own this DVD cd ..Bill's in his 70s now but hes a waaaaaaaay underrated artist and him and Bruce Cockburn...my faves ...followed them since their beginnings almost!

The first part of the guitar reminds me a little of Mick Taylor in Winter. Bill Nelson is a treasure.

I Bunked into The Drury Lane Theatre in 1975 to see this guy ( had too it was sold out ) and here I am in Pattaya Thailand his music again.

Eh he plays guitar really well that's about it.

Bebop Deluxe 5th row floor, at the L.A. Forum in 1976. Camped out and got tickets, had the whole left side of the row and brought a lot of friends (had Rodney Bingenheimer kicked out of our seats by security...now that was fun!). I had a telephoto lens and I have some awesome pictures from that show. Almost as close, but a bit more 'air' above and behind...LOL! Awesome, as always, Mr. Nelson!

Bill Nelson is one of my all time favorite guitars and a big influence on my playing. His sense of melody when he solos is right up there with Django in my opinion. I was lucky enough to see him with Be Bop Deluxe twice back in the 70's. Note to self: use your darn Ebow, its just been laying there on a dusty shelf!

Got to see Be Bop early 70,s in a Picadilly Radio tent in Manchesters Platt Fields Park.Walked in just by chance as they were comin on.

Most there are older age groups..the kids noe don't know about this kind of stuff. My daughter is a musician and when she was growing up learning I played her a lot of stuff from this era..and I THINK..it made her a better musician... So many times I would play her From my collection she would listen study it in silence.. And after say..I have never heard anything like that before

No, you are right. Amazing it's still going. I bought mine because of Bill's, but I had to get the black plastic one. Mind you, mine is still running beautifully, and I got that in 1984. Thirty eight years old, so Bill's would be a 70s job.
