LYRICS:
There's a church in the valley by the wildwood
No lovelier place in the dale
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the vale
(Oh, come, come, come, come)
Come to the church by the wildwood
Oh, come to the church in the dale
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the dale
How sweet on a clear Sabbath morning
To listen to the clear ringing bells
Its tones so sweetly are calling
Oh come to the church in the vale
There, close by the church in the valley
Lies one that I loved so well
She sleeps, sweetly sleeps, 'neath the willow
Disturb not her rest in the vale
There, close by the side of that loved one
'Neath the tree where the wild flowers bloom
When farewell hymns shall be chanted
I shall rest by her side in the tomb

I am convinced that this song is needed to bring America back to her senses. I am a 76 year old black American woman and we learned this song in early elementary school. White children learned it in their schools, as well. It is the one thing we had in common, and had we more leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King and President John F. Kennedy, we would have overcome racism in this country. Unfortunately, the Communist Party had the hidden agenda of establishing INTERCOM (international communism), so movements were started non stop to de-Christianize, de-humanize, and de-moralize America. Then Hollywood, television, politicians, civil rights workers, and the media, happened, all working together. They can take a bow for causing America's woes. TRUE REPENTANCE and the return to the WORSHIP OF THE PRINCE OF PEACE, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF, will make America great again.

What a challenge to see the old singing, compared to young youths wasting their voices singing about earthly things. Forget to praise the one who gives his one n only son for us. The creator of all things.

I don’t think they are wasting anything. They just have a new way to praise our Lord and Savior. New worship songs don’t beat these old hymns but they still can be used to praise the Lord.

Totally understandable. I never got involved in a really small church except here in Ohio; I am from here, but I've lived all over the country, and I would rather be in a little place like what this song is based on, because I think it reminds me of my folks who are no longer with us.

The law is important, but not as some believe, the law does not save Romans 3:20 since by the works of the law no human being will be justified before Him; because through the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:28 We conclude, then, that man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. Galatians 3:2 This I only want to know from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing with faith? Isaiah 64:6 Although all of us are like dirt, and all our righteousnesses like filthy rags; and we all fell like a leaf, and our iniquities carried us away like the wind. Titus 3:5 he saved us, not by works of justice that we had done, but by his mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, So what is the law for? To make us aware of our sin. And what are the works for? To prove that our Faith is true and because it is the Will of the LORD James 2:18 But someone will say: You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand for us to do. So those who believe that works and law have weight in Salvation are guilty of damnation unless they see the Light of the Grace of Christ; as for Shabbat Romans 14:6 He who heeds the day, he heeds to the LORD; and he who ignores the day, to the LORD he does not. He who eats, for the LORD he eats, because he gives thanks to God; and he who does not eat, for the LORD he does not eat, and he gives thanks to God. So they do not have the right to condemn those of us who do not practice that, and as for food Mark 7:19 because he does not go into his heart, but into his belly, and comes out into the latrine? He said this, making clean all the food. 1 Timothy 4 But the Spirit clearly says that in the last times some will apostatize from the faith, listening to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons; 2 for the hypocrisy of liars who, having their consciences seared, 3 will forbid marriage, and will order abstinence from foods that God created so that believers and those who have known the truth may partake of them with thanksgiving.

Everytime I hear this hymn, I have two churches in particular that flash before my mind's eye. The first one is an old Holiness Church in Central Ohio (House of Prayer) and the other is a Pilgrim Holiness Church in Leesburg where a dear friend of mine pastored for years. I miss these two churches dearly. There is another church in Noblesville Indianna that has grown on me and is of the same background of the two I mentioned. This is where the old hymns and preaching was done with a Holy Fire. There is a difference, believe you me.

trading bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is understanding the trends and working closely and where there is a potential drop as experienced lately, it should be seen as a potential to buy. The current correction, in reality, is long overdue and should be seen as a thing of joy as the dump is very temporal and also provides a unique time for you to grow your portfolio. I remember how last year at the peak of the bearish market when people were losing hope, a colleague of mine was steadily cashing out and eventually introduced me to an expert trader called Korie Karen whose system is so reliable and simple, 2 weeks after I got in touch with him i saw my bitcoin portfolio grow by over 450% when others were selling their stash out of fear. Now the same thing is happening and I am unfazed because I still trade using Korie Karen signals which have been confirmed to be among one of the most accurate in the bitcoin community today. It’s time to be smart and take advantage of a seemingly bad situation. stop trading on your own and get professional guidance. you can reach Mr Patrick on Whatsapp@+14692964476 for his expert guidance in trading profitably. Cheers.

There arent ANY Christian songs today from "Praise" or Hillsong that inspire like these wonderful, ole dear hymns with a piano and organ. The tears come flowing so, I can barely sing along, as I once again see my Swedish grandmother in her Sunday bonnett,my German grandmother,my aunts and uncles in church singing these wonderful heart felt hymns. After church,we'd go for Sunday brunch somewhere. I just wish whats left of some of the ole Southern gospel groups would make the trek up here to Pennsylvania. Just remember guys,Pennsylvania is Philadelphia in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania BUT the entire rest of the Keystone state is Alabama,Tennessee,Kansas,Oklahoma,Texas in between to the Ohio state line. 98% of Pennsylvania counties is RED. Small towns,God loving,God fearing people who love Jesus and love hood music. Come here to sing for us. America needs hymns and four part gospel music, not flashing lights, screaming,Christian rap etc.

Dear Sir, your miracle is just one prayer away. The Lord wants to be your very best friend. He will cleanse you and forgive you of all your sins, if you simply call out to him, believing he is listening and if you are sincere and truly sorry, that's all you need to do. He knows each heart! He will come to fellowship with you in Spirit for the rest of your life and for all eternity to follow, in your new home someday, in the new Heavens & Earth that He is preparing. He doesn't answer all our prayers the way we want but that one he always answers - for the sincere heart! And it's THE BEST miracle you could ever ask for! Jesus came to die for us and pay the payment for our sins on the cross of Calvary, 2,000+ years ago He came to born to die, so we could be born again through His spirit, unto fellowship with Him & fellowship to Him.

This was my granny’s (aka my best friends) favorite song. Every time they sang it at her church she’d say, “I want that played at my funeral”. So when she passed away 4 years ago, we sang that at her funeral. Not your typical funeral song, but she wasn’t your typical lady! And plus every one was smiling once they finished singing; so wasn’t a so sad!

Jesus already lived a perfect life for us, since he knew we couldn't do it. He will give you grace & strength to do your best for him & for his glory, if you sincerely call out to him to forgive you, cleanse you & give you his spirit- The Holy Spirit. Romans 3:23 All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 5:8 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he sent his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The law is important, but not as someones think, the law does not save Romans 3:20 since by the works of the law no human being will be justified before Him; because through the law is the knowledge of sin. So they have no right to condemn those of us who do not practice that, and as for food Mark 7:19 because he does not go into his heart, but into his belly, and comes out into the latrine? This he said, making all food clean.

@Gold Pill Bill The song was composed in 1857 by a music teacher traveling on a stagecoach to meet his fiance that stopped in this town where he had time to wander through the woodlands imagining a church there & when he & his wife traveled through there a few years later they were building a church at that very spot. The 4 people standing in the aisle are simply dressed to emulate that particular time period, they aren't trying to trick you into thinking anything. I pray your heart softens so that you can feel the love & joy this sweet song brings to most people, God bless :)
