+bmyjg234 That's because Conan likes Burr and comedians like him. He's not just looking for a hot celebrity comedian to be a guest and finding Bill. He also gets the perspective of Bill's jokes. When Conan interjects it's always to continue the comedy train. If he's dealing with someone who isn't funny or interesting, he'll antagonize them or put words in their mouth to make something funny happen, whereas with a guest like Bill he says very little so Bill can do that for him.

The dude says Paula Deen is a "$100 million whale", the crowd starts "ooohing", and Bill quickly explains himself saying, "No, that's a gambling thing...she"ll make you a $100 million." Then he immediately follows up by saying, "...and she's just sitting there on the beach.", to which the crowd starts laughing, and I'm just sitting there in awe of how he can turn anything around and make it hilarious. I'm guessing brenda jackson has moved on with her life, but I'd still like to weigh in on her comment and your reply. First, I agree with her: "beached whale" is an expression having nothing to do with poker, so Bill DID, in fact, come right back with a fat joke. And second, while I have little tolerance for SJWs, I thought "moron" was harsh. Slamming someone with a personal slur a signature move on the Left, which I suspect is not where your views primarily reside.

I'd watch the Disgrace Channel just to see ongoing human meltdowns. The first episode of every new series would be called "The Shrug". The star would begin the show shrugging their shoulders and saying something like, "Well, it's out there now, so I guess I can say whatever comes to mind. Let's make some chocolate chip cookies. Oh hey, speaking of chocolate..."

Seriously, how does this guy NOT have a sitcom of his own?!

Why is this guy so fucking funny? His choice of words, his comedic timing, his natural ability to allow a back and forth conversation but still ends up saying his hilarious point in the end. You can learn a lot about conversational skills just from listening to him speak in interviews.

The genuine humor and just the honesty of it all, its really appealing and I love bill's whole vibe. Its a nice niche to have carved out.

it wasn't a fat joke, just a reference to a beached whale unable to do its job... consistent with his earlier gambling metaphor

honestly i thought they were laughing because everything he said is dark but true, kinda disgusting that people were too stupid to understand the gambling reference and laughed at a fat joke
