This actually speaks to me on a personal level. One of my best bros in college became a quite famous singer in my country. He's funny and kind. I had lunch with him a few time. One day he made headlines by going to Thailand for gender change surgery. After some time he came back in long hair and dress. Looking very hot actually. I didn't judge her. I just find it empty that my bro with nerd glasses and anime short hair yet still very manly is forever gone. And I miss him.

Listening to Bill's podcast is great because you hear him seemingly riff on these same jokes a mere week before he comes on Conan to tell them. Somehow over a couple of days he hones it into a legit bit.

Nobody goes to jail for not saying zee. Next time you read something like that, instead of thinking "oh my god that's ridiculous" you should be thinking "is it likely something this ridiculous is true?" To which the answer is generally, no.

Bill burr is one of the few comedians who can use "offensive" material without it being offensive, i think its the way that he never does it as mean spirited and hes always apart of the material himself

Love when bill burr is on the show, definitely my favorite comic next to Louis c.k, not afraid to say anything and always makes us laugh about it. Watched all his specials about 5 times each now lol, gotta have him on more often.

Apart from him just being funny as hell, one of the things I like the most about Bill Burr is that he always comes across as even-handed. He just says what he thinks and isn't hateful or bigoted but isn't overly pandering or PC either. Same in his dealings with gender and race. He judges each situation on it's merits. He is really good at knocking people off their high horse with his jokes.

Bill Burr has the honesty of a child 😂😂 ... he says things straight forward. I love that about him.

I've seen every one of his bits on Conan, but I still come back after a few months cus they are undyingly funny.

Part of the fun is watching how much Conan enjoys Bill's jokes. Just like Joe and Sal on impractical jokers.

This man is ALWAYS hilarious.

The way Bill takes over all of these interviews is honestly god like in every aspect of comedy. His improv, and just plain view on things is so amazing. I aspire to be like him one day.

You know a person is funny when he speaks about something you dont even comprehend (im not from the US) but still find his words and attitude towards the subject hilarious

I love how he slips actual references to things going on today, like the housing bubble forming or baby seals not having enough fish to eat. He actually gets it

bill burr is a genius , along with louis ck- he is able to twinkle toe the tightrope of political correctness- without offending anyone- while really highlighting the hypocrisy of both sides- and with belly busting humour. it takes so much skill to do that- i mean look at rogan do it- he does it- but with no humour, and he s meant to be a comic, or any other comedian- when they talk about it- they veer into territory where it gets nasty and ugly- and not light the way bill does it. i dunno, i just reckon its genius to get people to think so deeply , while keeping it so light. he says what we all think, what we want to say, but in a way we wish we could. thats a true voice of the people.

Ahhh I love the truth this dude spits, more people need to be like him and get the corn cob out of their asses!!

You can't overstate Conan's quality as a TV host. And Bill Burr is hilarious, I think I got one of my best laughs ever from him in one of his shows.

I think Bill Burr, Jim Gaffigan and Louis CK are the only comedians that can make Conan genuinely laugh his ass off.

The way he says I miss that guy is so funny yet so genuine

As soon as I saw that title I said "oh no"

I was expecting to be a little POed at what he was going to say as someone who's transgender myself, but actually nope. I think what he said was pretty fair. This is new for people and it'll take some people time to adjust to this as this is the first time they're hearing about this. Hopefully with more transgender people coming out who are famous, it'll be completely normal and on the same level as homosexuality!

***** Is it common? No. Normal? Depends on who you ask. Normal is different for everyone. I surround myself with transgender people and culture, so it's normal to me. When I see another transgender person, it's exciting because its another person like me. To someone else, they might be taken aback for a second. Most trans people are in the closet, but the more they come out, the more normal it becomes to the average person.

TheRaineMusic I'll be honest, I was a little unhappy with what he said. I don't think he's transphobic, no, but he does come off as very dismissive towards trans issues, particularly pronoun usage.

***** God, people hide behind those excuses to a ridiculous degree. "It's comedy" and "he's not politically correct" aren't valid excuses for being a dick. I find it hilarious how much people rail against 'being politically correct'. Being politically correct is basically just another way of saying 'not being a dick'. Obviously, the content, and the meaning behind what someone says is more important than the specific words they use, and like I've said before, I don't think Bill is transphobic, but that doesn't mean I'm just going to blindly ignore the ignorant way he phrased what he said. I think he's a pretty decent guy, and a fairly funny comedian (though, admittedly, not my favorite, but that's neither here nor there), but there's a difference between not adhering to arbitrary social guidelines, and not caring about how your words effect others. Pronouns are important to trans people, perhaps you should consider WHY, instead of just declaring it 'PC' and ignoring it.

God I love Bill Burr

When George Carlin died, it left me feeling all alone and no one to relate too. Just recently started watching and listening to Bill Burr and I can truthfully say Bill may fill that huge hole in my heart Carlin left when he died.

I always love Conans reactions to Bill, he laughs the mosts when Bill is on the show

Such a subtle gesture to (literally) give Bill the upper hand at the end, really shows what a great host he is

0:50-0:54 Conan loves this guy

His show is called "Does anybody remember laughter?" - a great reference to Led Zeppelin. Robert Plant would say that line while singing Stairway to Heaven live, and it became a much beloved quip. Bill is a huge Zeppelin fan.
