I think it has to do with them both being Boston Irish and growing up around the same time. When Conan gets one of those belly laughs I imagine part of him is reminded of an old friend he had who used to tell the same kind of jokes in the same accent.

"No ones happy when I'm talking" is such a perfect name for a comedy special.

This felt like a comedian's version of 60 minutes or something. What I'd give for Conan and Burr to just have a small show like this forever.

Conan: "You make both sides angry" Bill: "I guess I never looked at it that way" ...says the guy who once told Conan "the trick is getting both sides mad at the same time so I'll say 'Trump is such a dope he's actually gonna make me vote for a woman'"

These two were always the best together. I'm happy Conan is moving on after a great career - but you can't replicate the chemistry between him and Bill Burr. Some of the absolute funniest interactions on KZread are these two together.

@@metadata4255 I'm Egyptian, lived here all my life, and I like Bill Burr because life is hard when you live 20 years of your life in one of the worse neighborhoods in Giza, and his comedy brings much needed levity into my life. Arabic comedy used to be good in the 2000s but trailed off as the older comedians starter to retire. It's naive to think that english-speaking media is limited to "white men", don't come up with such broad judgements with such a sheltered world view mate.

Burr as actually a renaissance man, he just dumbs it down.

Love you guys, I can't believe this huge change about Conan is already happening. It isn't as weird as when Letterman stopped, but kind of. I know it is different, since they will be active on another channel and with another program, but both of these changes, in only 6 years, have been so significant for me, like a change of an epoch. All about it makes me feel old. I am getting old, guys, and you just remind me of that. Hehehe, thanks! You are amazing, Conan, one of my favorite people in the business. One must be extremely intelligent to be able to play the humble host character while entertaining a variety of people, as Conan did. This is why comedians love and respect him so much. I love you Conan, I will watch you on your new things, hopefully comedy and comedian will be there too all the time! Can't even start to tell you how much I love Burr, and the two of them together is just the best. Sending much love, my dear friends, keep up with the great comedy. Cheers from an Italian fan! There is a great documentary about 70s movies call "A Decade Under The Influence"

I saw Bill live, a few weeks ago. He crushed it. One of the best things I ever saw on a stage.

@@jedinxf7 well, I would agree with you but what’s missing in your argument is your so-called efficient medium. What kind of medium and how would you structure it? Who verifies the claims? Which sources can be used to verify claims? Lies are EVERYWHERE. Noise is everywhere. Truth is buried under all the noise in every medium available to us. Comment sections are slightly better because there’s a decent chance you’ll run into less brainwashed people that aren’t that much or at all brainwashed by the politically motivated mainstream media. Comment sections are being manipulated by the owners of the platforms because truth was being leaked. They don’t care about lies. They care about the truth. The truth is a threat to every shady plan/organization. Having said that I am optimistic about the future.

If we'd had a centrist government in the US last year, we'd have been in much better shape to handle the pandemic. Now, centrism is more important than ever, as the economy needs as much confidence as possible to deal with the economic fallout. @@Zeolot22 Identity/party politics are awful, it's best to just look at issues on a case-by-case basis and decide where you stand. Dedicating yourself to an entire platform based on the party is pleb-tier, and Jefferson/Washington/Adams would be disgusted.

Bill Burr makes both sides angry because he is rational. Only ignorant people pick sides with politics, it only leads to group think. Say you want universal healthcare but you're against abortion. Well if you identify as a liberal you automatically feel pressured to become pro-choice even though you are against it. The point is go with what you believe in not what a group tells you to believe in. Beyond that its important to remember that it takes two wings to fly. So if you pick a side than you will be a one winged bird.
