Biktrix Stunner X First Impressions

After looking at no options online I found a Biktrix dealer that had over 40 units in stock to choose from. It's time to head to North Battleford and pick up my new Biktrix Stunner X!
Well, here it is my Biktrix Stunner X. I decided to go with this one as it fits me well, has a step-through frame, has a mid-drive motor, and a really comfortable seating position.
The main reason that I got this Stunner is that the main store is only 2.5 hours away in Saskatoon SK. The owner if you read the forums really seems to care about his company and answers a lot of the questions owners present to him
When you order online it comes in a big box mostly assembled. Most unboxings are saying it’s done in about ½ an hour.
I bought mine assembled at Scott Campbell Dodge and paid them a small fee to set it up for me.

I have the Biketrix juggernaut hub duo. 750 watt hub motor, 52v 17ah battery, cadence and torque sensors…she’s a beast! I ordered mine on a Monday night after work and I got it on Friday afternoon that same week. Not sure how they got it from Saskatoon Saskatchewan to Tofino British Columbia in barely 3 1/2 days in pristine condition, but they did it.🤷🏼♂️ Happy riding my friend 🍻
It is cool that you got an e-bike. Three years ago I have two hip replacements. After the surgeries I purchased a bicycle to get back into shape. I'm now hooked on bicycles. I have changed from commuting on my motorcycle to the bicycle. Living in Oregon I'm able to cycle year around assuming I'm willing to ride in the rain and when it is freezing outside. I see a lot of e-bikes out on my commute. Look forward to more videos.

Great video Kent. Looks like you have the bike figured out. Glad you are enjoying it! Should make pulling the chariot a little more comfortable.

Thanks Trent, I’ll have to tell you about my rampaging stunner in the sobeys liquor store some time...great story. Lol. I now have 120 kms on the bike...going great.

It really is. I hit 47 with my son behind, and that’s when you realize you are flirting with your life, especially if you need to stop fast.

@1:55 did you have to get something like a Robert Axle Project through axle? Or did the existing thru spindle on the bike provide enough space to get the mounting point for your tow behind trailer?
That speed is crazy!

Thanks for being so thorough, Kent! I particularly appreciated the tip to slightly engage the brake for tight turns. I will keep that in mind when i finally get my bike! I just ordered the Swift Step-Thru and couldn't find much online in terms of reviews. I was trying to decide between that and the brand new Skycap. I have two kids and thought the Skycap might be a way to get them places every once in a while (just one at a time because they're 12 and 15 years old) and haul groceries, but not being able to test drive one with a passenger made me uncertain that I'd use it for my imagined purpose. So I'd love to see you review a Swift (even though I'm likely to have mine before you get around it it!) and a Skycap with your son or other passenger aboard.

The only thing I would caution is that the hub drives aren’t near as good for towing or heavy loads as the hub motor is one fixed gear. The mid drive uses the ratios of the gears to get better power at the low end without sacrificing wear and tear on the gears and as you gear up, more speed and economy. I now have started to manually ride the bike from a stop or when around people so I don’t get any sudden surges. It is not a problem to ride these bikes with 0 assist up to 20 kph.

@@sixthisoverdrive I would recommend the bafang G510/M620 ultra 1000,160 nuitan meters of torque,great towing power for a middrive ,Have the 2020 juggernaut ultra 1000 pro,it's a workhorse. 70km top speed so far,scary fast! The Clydesdale of ebikes.

@@haleysabit1612 il looked at it but budget and size were considerations for me.
Also got the 24" Stunner X and noticed at top end speed (50 kmph) I felt the need for more gears to stay pedaling with the speed of the mid drive motor. Also, at this speed, I noticed a little chain wobble or vibration.

It can do it, but you get bouncing pretty good! My front tire has a shimmy at that speed, actually anything above 40. Thanks for the comments.
Sharing the prices for these ebikes would be helpful in determining what model I would care to purchase.

I think so. It can’t use the fat wheels.
You would think nothing would be loose if you paid that.
