Biker Down, That Looked Painful!

Out on the trails with Des on his Husky 701. Unfortunately Des had a pretty nasty fall on the return journey but thankfully he managed to find a muddy spot to land in to soften the impact. Some minor damage to his bike but it looked worse than it actually was thankfully. Overall we had a terrific day out and I'm already looking forward to discovering more trails in this area.
My goggles I mention in the video are the Leatt Velocity 5.5 over the glasses type.

Thanks for watching. Miles away from your neck of the woods, these trails are up in the North Yorkshire Moors, not too far as the crow flies from Whitby. Des was fine after his spill, thankfully he landed in the mud so no real harm done. I really like the 350, more than adequate for my style of riding and it’s no slouch, it can get a wriggle on when needed. 👍

Just come across your channel. My brother and myself are just about to start trial riding. The first video I watch was the one posted a year ago. Where you did very well but couldn’t get up that steep very rocky hill. I think my brother and I would be the same. However this video just 14 days ago posted… wow. Your flying. Really enjoyed this video. Been looking on an off for a couple of days at the OS map. Trying to track these lanes down. I think I need a van 😂 Great stuff keep On enjoying… 👍👍👍

Hello Steve I had the same thing with my tablet. From memory while running a gps type app what it does is while charging it stays awake continuously. But what I found is if either end of the cable is loose or not connected to save your battery it goes to sleep every few minutes. I’ve found cables are not all born the same. Cheapy ones seem to not charge as quickly so battery actually drains while you’re using gps, or usb ends jiggle loose etc. Whereas quality cables stay in and charge more quickly. My answer buy a Samsung cable and alls been fine since. I’m week week into recovery from hand operation. Already bored of can’t do this or that. 5 weeks to go apparently!

I remember you commenting on the quality of cables months ago so the one I use is a good quality cable. I believe I have found the cause but I still need to test it out on the bike. The tablet did a firmware update a few days prior to this ride and what I subsequently found after this ride was that the setting for the display being on had reverted back to the shortest time option available, 30 seconds which is no use to anyone. In future if it offers a firmware update I’ll just ignore it. Five weeks of recovery eh? That’s a bummer at this time of year. Plenty of time to use that break wisely though and plan a trip over to the ABR at the end of June. 😂
