Bigme S6 Color+ e-Reader with Kaleido 3 (review)

Ойын-сауық

e-Ink 300 PPI BW and 150PPI colour resolution. Good responsiveness, good battery life. I like this better than Bigme Galy.

According to you which is a superior device Boox note air 3c or Bigme s6 color plus?

The thing that the vast majority of people want to know, is how easy is it to clean up the device and uninstall preloaded apps and is the bootloader unlocked, I would assume its unlocked so apps can be uninstalled using adb/fastboot. I see that there is a lot of complaints of chinese apps preinstalled so getting rid of those is a major priority especially for reviews.

I really wish these companies took a break from color and try to figure out the refresh rates to E-inks. Or just design a coherent software experience around its limitations. So far remarkable has got the idea the best, and then they ruined it by putting basic features behind a subscription wall. I used to have the Boox, and initially I liked the android experience, to the point I could get Artflow to run at a usable level with playing around with the settings. Tho constant updates always made things worse to the point after 4 years the thing just bricked. I’m on the Fujitsu Quadreno now, and I think it’s excellent, even though it’s missing some basic features, and the battery is really bad. The writing and sketching experience is great, split screen is awesome, it doesn’t do much so everything is quite snappy. I would just improve on the Fujitsu and remarkable concept without going full android.

The refresh rate here seems okay by e-reader standards. This is the limit so far for this year

@@teohontech7141 I think there is just so much limit one can do with where E-ink is. I think if they limit and curate the app selection to just have E-ink optimised apps, these things would be better. It’s really interesting to see where they go with this. For someone who hates drawing traditionally (I’m a sinner 😂), but spends too much time on a screen, these things are exactly what I need.

Thank you for your video. Can you please demonstrate a video being played on the bigme s6 colour plus. Are the speakers loud enough to watch videos?

They should have rather similar drawing performance. So I recommend you choose base on other factors, e.g. bundled goodies, price, shortcut buttons, etc.

Hello im sorry for off top but i need an advice. I want to buy a tablet with internet connection for school and also start digital drawing. I was thinking about Huawei MatePad 11.5 ( cool price, 8GN RAM ) but everywhere they advise Samsung galaxy s6 lite. Im not sure what to do, latest could be better. Wgat do you think ?

Samsung is better because there's native support for Google Play Store. While it's possible to install Google Play Store on Huawei tablet, sometimes I find my apps unable to update.
