This is just a hobby channel where I share the tech, gadgets, computers I use.
I'm a graphic designer, digital artist so my reviews are for tech that can be used to create visual content.
Brands I've worked (in alphabetical order): Artisul, ASUS, BenQ, Dell, Gaomon, Huawei, Huion, Lenovo, LG, Microsoft, Parblo, PRISM+, Samsung, Ugee, Wacom, XP-Pen

I need the new Mac mini in space gray
PWM teat please?
It's a DC Dimmed display. No PWM.
For me what is bad about this product is the processor. It seems to me that that processor cannot run 300dpi well. It looks slow running 72dpi.
Great review! Thanks for telling about PWM its very important for sensitive people.
I'm happy to see pwm being recognized but do want to add that temporal dithering/FRC seems to be another huge eye discomfort trigger. It's pixel level flickering, can only check with a microscope and fast camera in slomo
Also pwm can be acceptable if the frequency is high enough. Sadly new displays using "DC dimming" are using a software DC like dimming which causes strain too btw.
Can you try huawei 11.5 paper matte?
How well does Workstation Mode work? Can you open apps and files in lots of moveable windows? I’d buy this, but Android is such a nightmare for managing lots of text files.
It looks like MacOS with the icons dock at the bottom. Main downside is with external display it is just mirror mode and not extended desktop mode.
That’s a darn shame, I was hoping this new Tandem oled would get rid of PWM. Wack!! So much for looking forward to it going in iPhones. Suppose my SE3 truly may be the last flicker-free iPhone 😞
LCD is the safer choice for no PWM
This or Samsung S9 FE+?
If you are gonna draw, Samsung S Pen has tilt and better OS. Xiaomi has better hardware
amazing video
Is the pen have hover cursor?
Yes, there is
I bought a Minisforum V3 and is the best drawing tablet I've ever used, despite its stylus using Microsoft's Pen Protocol it doesn't have any gitter, this is the first time I see an MPP pen with no gitter, I'm hoping. You will get the chance to review it at some point, it's. Amazing. Also performance is in another level.
How's battery life? They should be released with a snapdragon x. Next update a must!
I think the pen buttons not being programable is the only crippling thing for artists that want to use this. Those buttons really come in handy on digital pens, for the artist's sake.
Nice review..1 more thing They can read external drive?
Yes, but is slow USB 2 speed
Had numerous blackview products from the bc9600 to the warping to the tablets. They make great stuff along with umigi
Thanks teoh
Could you please do a comparison between this version, Pad 6, and Pad 5? No pen sensitivity doesn't sound very nice, but I think a comparison would be nice.
I don’t have the earlier tablet to test. Anyway, it has pressure but not tilt. And pressure works very well, better than previous xiaomi pens, as good as Apple Pencil.
DISCLAIMER FOR LEFT-HANDED: If you want to use the tablet in phone-mode, youre out of luck, there is no way to flip the tablet for left-handed since there is no App that allows you to switch from right to left handed use! you either learn to draw with your right hand or you just wasted a good amount of money on a tablet who lacks the simple feature of switching right handed to left handed. I had to refund the tablet, not a single review mentions that this tablet's phone mode works for right handed usage only! i know its a small additional feature but it still baffles me that HUION just doesnt care about left-handed artists when they wanna use the tablet with their phone or galaxy tab etc. i returned the tablet because i wanted to draw on the go on my phone, since im left handed this tablet is useless for me. (of course in the windows/mac you have huion driver settings where you can switch right and left handed however you desire!) this tablet was made for right handed people which irritates me a lot. (the group keys are basically upside down when you use the tablet as a left handed artist)
I no longer have this tablet so I may not remember correctly. When used with a phone, the tablet will be vertical so does left/right hand matter? Also the hotkeys do not work when used with a phone
@@teohontech7141 here is the thing: the buttons did work when i pressed the group keys they act like the back and home button for me also the tablets orientation for me was horizontal like normal, in phone mode you just use like 30% of the drawing surface of the tablet, not vertical
Hi Teoh, Can use this system on a Macbook Pro with a Monitor?
You can. But check out the laptop docking stations from Minisopuru
Believe it or not I think teoh is an architect or an interior designer, the way he draw lines and building tells everything.
I’m actually not either. I just consider myself an urban sketcher, someone who likes to draw on location
is the pen compatible with the s9?
No
Can you do a comparison between this and the S9 plus/ultra, pkease?
First comment
What did he say about downloading ebooks from another bookstore 😢than Kobo?
Thanks for the review, Im trying to decide between this or the Ugee 12 plus, wich would you recommend?
you are ebrything but sure not an artist 😂😂😂 kewl
I am not a graphic artist. However, it is amazing that the artist community is giving the best reviews for the 2024 iPad M4!
Please more of PWM
Thank you!❤
hey Mrs. Teoh i always come to you when i need help and guide regarding tabs and stylus you are the best. i have wonder and searching but not sure yet which ipad can run some 3d programs along with sketching and taking notes but Im still lost in this can you help me?
Thank you for the review! :)
Is it awkward to write notes on the bottom screen? Especially when at an angle?
The bottom display has to be at 45 degrees for writing. I would prefer lower angle for writing
Copar pls ultra tab and ipad 13
It will have similar result as in this video
As an artist, coming from an iPad Pro user to a Tab S9 Ultra, the drawing experience is amazing. The screen is gorgeous and you have so much space to fit all of the tool palettes and still have a big space for your canvas. Also have so many pen options! Im glad i made the switch.
Rip downgrade. No more procreate. Not as high resolutions
@@michealadebz you just don't know any apps? What do you think people use that has smaller resolutions?
@@Jj82op tab s9 ultra isn’t as powerful so your digital pieces won’t have as many layers or as high resolutions
@@michealadebz It has the most powerful chip for mobile devices from Snapdragon, plenty of performance. Regardless, painting doesn't need much raw power. Layers and resolutions are most dependant on RAM, 12GB is plenty.
Thanks for this. I've been looking for a remote that's just not exclusively for a procreate for iPad. I use more than one software
OMG THANK YOU!
I have to say I'm finding Huawei products to be really good quality in everything they do. I have these and the necklace freelace too, both great performing bits of kit
They do make well-made products. I'm still using their laptop and the metal body does make a huge difference in durability.
I noticed some dishonesty from Boox with this devis. When they send a sample to someone to review, the device is equiped with 2.8 GHz CPU, but the actual device on any online shop is a 2.4GHz CPU which is way slower. Sa from a company who wants to grow....
Does the new iPad pro have a true 120Hz display or does the tandem OLED use some interlaced 60Hz trickery across each panel to simulate 120Hz?
I don't have the exact equipment to test though. When I use shutter speed 1/60, 1/80 and 1/125, I don't see flicker which is not surprisingly because they match the refresh rate. There's probably flicker with 1/125 but I don't see it. When it goes to 1/160 there is flicker.
please do redmi pad pro
Tnx for you review. For photo editing (amateur hobby), is it a good choice, or is it better to spend 100€ more and take the PA279CRV (100% aRGB spec)?
4K resolution is good if you can afford
hello, thank you for the video! but i'm sorry i'm still cannot decide which ipad do you think i ishould buy. i never buy apple's product before so it will be new for me. i'm an artist, mostly draw anime/manga style and probably will learn animation too. i want to buy ipad because i'm interested using procreate. i mostly draw/work at home, even if i buy an ipad i will only use it at home. i just like its mobility to allow me drawing anywhere instead of sitting for hours in front of my laptop and wacom. i dont have any budget for now, but i want to buy an ipad that will be able to use for a very very long time. do you have any recommendation? thank you! ><
I don't think you'll go wrong with either. If you want to use Procreate, then it's gonna be iPad. Decide based on the software you want to use. Both tablets can last for years until they physically break down.
puoi provare il tablet lenovo legion y700(2023)? please!!
I believe that at this price rate, samsung tab s6 lite 2022 edition is better decision. But of course, it's good that there is some other options than samsung\apple
I own a Picasso tab x14. Kinda liked it despite its flaws while sketching. Unfortunately the battery is useless. Stopped charging. Completely unusable. Seems like a common problem.
Hard to see, but is this the 11" or 13"?
11. 13 is much bigger
Hi, I have the galaxy tab S7 FE
For zoomin with the gestures you should turn on this setting in the side bar
Do you know if another pens of other brands work with this tablet?
Company says it’s USI 2 pen so other pens will work too. But you can expect similar line quality
Can you do drag and drop with files between Windows in pc mode? Thanks!
I no longer have this tablet to test that. If it doesn’t work, alternative is to copy and paste
