She wasn’t lip syncing, it was not even a singing part of the song. She was speaking and you can literally hear her gasp for breath when she falls. The only reason you can still hear words is because backup singers are also saying the words with her, nice try tho..

in Beyonce's defence, being on tour and performing like over 50 shows, it wouldn't be human for anyone to have their voice left. she sings and perform morethan a voice can handle and everyone knows she CAN sing. Performance now focuses more on pyrotechnics and excessive choreography, to the detriment of singing. Furthermore, Autotune has destroyed the incentive to sing naturally (which will include weak notes from time to time). Hence why lip-syncing is rampant.

I watched that performance of Partition from Beyonce and the whole thing was a mess :/ the backstage crew didn't have the props set up, she came out late, the audio was stuffed up. Oh well, everybody has off days :)

Jade K yeah i was at that concert in Paris, everything that could go wrong did go wrong. the poles did not come up in time, the special lights thing did not work, Bee was on stage at time but did not know what to do when the music started and nothing that she needed for the performance were there. She just stood in the back of the stage looking confused, and ended up walking around on the stage and then exiting the stage early

Not exactly lip syncing. Artists especially GaGa play pre-recorded vocals on their live performances that's used as backing vocals then still sing along with it, which is live singing. They do it so their track and the vocals sounds fuller.

About the lady gaga one: she never pretended to sing that little part on that tour. They always had the track play that bridge part on Poker Face, and she'd strut along to it or sing along and then come back in singing on the chorus. It wasn't a true lip-sync fail because it was always clear to the audience that she wasn't trying to sing that part.

+Dana Ziller yes she didnt lipsyncing, i was see full video, the almost mariah carey songs is a lot layer or part, so need backing track, cos no one can sing all the layer or part off the song, so she just pick what layer or part of the song see want to sing live. the backing vocal have part/layer they must sing, the backing track have one to, mariah have part to.. so why almost perpect or same like the original studio version, is natural.. thats not call lipsyncing,,, the lipsyncing when the backing track is play the full part off the song, no main vocal of the singer and singer just follow the backing track. an exemple like lady gaga fall thats call lipsyncing cos, is imposibel the singer vocal still same when fall, and song what lady gaga sing not have a lot off layer or part, is absulatly full backing track - sorry my english not well.. lol, that's not true. They never lipsynced a single word during their whole career, even when they were sick or had vocal problems. Maybe rarely some melodies are included in the backtrack bc they're hard to achieve live, but about the ACTUAL SINGING, they never ever lipsynced unlike most of the big pop stars nowadays.

hahah, i'm a guy actually and i'm 19. And also it happens that i'm a 1D fan, weird right ? I got into them bc of my sister, at first i made fun of her and told her that this boyband sucks, they cant sing or play imstruments or write their own music, and they lipsync. But i changed my mind when i heard "Story of my Life", i bought their album and they turned out to be very good. And when i did a little research, i found out that, they have great voices, write their own music, some play instruments and they dont lipsync in their performances. And now i'm proud to say that i'm a male 1D fan. And i dare you to bring me a single performance where they lipsynced the words to their songs.

Saad Tahiru first of all its not at all weird that you are a adult boy who is a 1D fan. I like them too and I'm 19 too but I'm not a directioner or whatever their fans are called. And as a fact every artist in this industry has lip synced once in a while. Take beyonce as an example, she is known for singing live but she has lip synced too a few times and 1D are no exception. Mj used lipsynicing too a few times. Every artist uses it, so don't try to tell me that 1 D don't and yes they are a good boy band but not better than backstreet boys or the Beatles. They are not vocally that strong except zayn bc that guy can definitely sing and I know this bc i too am a singer not a professional though but I know zayn can sing and I don't know about the rest of them , I've heard better singers than them

The performance is completely there though. The good dancing, the cool costumes etc. It's still a great show. Of course it'd be cooler if they were singing live but it's more than just the singing.
