YES! I've wanted to build one of your printers for a long time, and the Panda mini seemed perfect, but now this RC150 seems even better! Can't wait!
Exited for this project, might be bigger than the rook soon :)
Impressive project! This one or your MIN Delta are on my "to do list"!
Such frequent updates from Rolohaun! Thanks for the update on the RC150 name change!
Very excited to see the fully enclosed version!! I think a cost-effective alternative to a V0 is a great idea, and I WILL build one of these, once the backlog clears. 🙂
Yes kits are a must
Thank you for sharing your new 150mm 3D printer design. I'm 3D printing the new files as I write this! Love your work!
Big fan of blind joints, can we get some Rolohaun approved jigs for the DIY folks.

Blind joints mean you are really dependent on the extrusion provider to cut them super square. From what I understand, that's super easy for them to do, but it's the only downside I can see.
I would buy a RC150 kit. Looks like a nice little printer.
The Fusion 360 tutorial on Patreon is excellent, to those who dont know!
Looking forward to the kits
I'd be very excited to built this printer
nice project😀😀 i like it
Yeah this one is perfect for me, basically a rook for high temperature printing guys! :)
So happy to see you got a better quality camera. Do you mind sharing the make and model number?

I am ultra impressed by your innovation. The RC150 looks to be an excellent printer. Would you ever consider something like the Print It Forward program that the Voron community has. Would be an interesting way to get more people to possibly get into 3D printing using some of your designs.

I am working on a PIF program on my discord hopefully some news soon
Yes .... Kits please 🎉❤
Looks great. Really liking it. Been looking into a DYI printer and this meets the build. 180mm bed?

150 right now, hopefully someone will make a 180 mod!
I didn't see in the files, is there a template for the blind joints? And do the lengths change for using blind joints?

Kanrog will have a blind joint Jig and video out this weekend! The files are pinned on my discord in the RC150 channel!
hell yes bro i want to build it your builds are wicled joining discord now
I really loved the Panda name, rip.
Kits please. Also scaling the RC150 up vs the RC250? My goal is a budget ASA/ABS workhorse printer.

RC250 is already better for that

@@RolohaunExactly what I wanted to know, thanks!
How does the motion system work for Z? Is it linear rods? Wheels?
@Rolohaun

vwheels, one in each corner
All these cool little printers you're putting out. Ugh. And here I am going on a year trying to put a Rook together.
What is reasoning about putting here 3 to 1 Z reduction in comparison to the Bastion without one?

Any plans on a large format printer?

I have RC250 that is as big as I would like to go, maybe a 300x300 one day
Question have you measured the flatness that granite table top?
@Rolohaun
4 ай бұрын
I don't have a huge straight edge but it seems pretty flat with my square and much flatter than my desk
@chicoxiba

Cool, I have an idea about using that as a printing bed want to know how flat can we expect these things to be.. i guess it is as flat as the rock cutter that has sliced it. A good and easy indication would be to measure it for thickness around the perimeter..
damn, last week I ordered all the parts for the old version from aliexpress
@Rolohaun

the old version it still an awesome printer, I try to make sure I list these printers as beta so builders know that there will be changes
Man i build the panda mini, i mean after all it is your thing to change the name. I liked panda mini. Is it okey for you when i build the printer with a fresh design some new features and my name on it when i sell this then? I would mark your design as inspiration for it
@Rolohaun

Bro how many printers are there to make 😭 But for real nice job
I haven't even finished the mini...

now you can build two! Sorry I know the beta changed a bunch
The Z is to complicated... If you use two motors why not use lead screws. Much more simpler, not so many belts and pulleys and printed parts... but this is just me rambling...
@kanrogcreations

I have a mod that replaces one of the Z motors with a rod coming soon. Just need someone to test it really.

Leadscrews make banding on the prints.
@daveh0

I don't see it as more complex, but I haven't had great experience with the backlash in my own belted z - it's not as precise, though that could be my (unrelated) design.
@Rolohaun

one of the benefits of belted Z is there is no blacklash. Leadscrews can have backlash
@Rolohaun

if I do leadscrew it will be triple Z then, we will see
Please. Please. Go over your videos when editing and remove every occurrence of "all that kind of stuff". I genuinely can't listen anymore. Printer is great. I am subscribed to your channel. But I can't handle it.

@@Rolohaun This video timestamps: 4.05 4.55 5.33 8.50 9.15 9.56 10.54 . Not that much, granted, but one of your older videos has like a dozen repetitions. Not a great deal, sure, but that is really important for good viewer retention. I feel so at least.
