House cats are and can be extremely loving and friendly. Every one I’ve had has been. What people don’t get is that cats need love, space and patience. (Not like dogs that jump to your every whim for a food pellet) - if you can do that for a kitty, you will be rewarded 100 fold. The cats that you see that appear aloof or mean are because they haven’t been treated right or the way they need to be treated.

That moment when she was making biscuits on the blanket was adorable ☺️ definitely a very happy big cat.

@@LourdesGzz they say it’s a leftover reflex from kittenhood. They make biscuits when they’re feeding, idk if that helps get more milk. Then when they get older, they continue doing it as a sign of contentment

This kitty is a big old baby and so is Messi the cougar. I personally hate the hissing, which is not a sign of affection at all. Quit annoying your cat. They are not happy when they hiss. They feel threatened

Caracals growl when angry, but they hiss both to greet and communicate, as well as to show happiness (like how housecats make trilling sounds). A caracal that hisses at you is usually not mad. To the caracal, it's saying "Hello!", not "stay back, stop bothering me".

Actually, caracals hissing is not always an indicator of them being mad, scared, or stressed. Caracals are unique in that they also hiss when they are happy, or content, or safe.

Yeah, unless this species TENDS to be chunkier (which, from what I've seen of caracals, they're NOT?), this is an overweight one. Maybe not OBESE, but overweight at least. Please feed and exercise it better.

@@Solkan55 Most probably morbidly obese at this point. Cats, dogs and the like usually look meager, spindly and severely underfed to most at ideal weight, if they look "healthy" to most they're already more than just a bit overweight. If they look fat they're at least severely obese.

He's the most affectionate Caracal I've seen. I wish I could pet him. That's one big lovable kitty.

Caracals hiss to communicate, not just to express anger. Housecats make trilling noises and meows, but caracals hiss in place of both. When you see videos of caracals hissing, they're not mad or telling you to leave them alone. They're greeting you or acknowledging their presence.

So nice to see this side of the Caracal. Every other video I've seen is mostly their fearsome hissing, I was beginning to think they were a ' no touching ' kinda cat.

What a beautiful cat,he’s a big softy who loves his human company,I’ve looked after 4 feral for 6 years now but still haven’t managed to stroke or cuddle them,they will sit in the kitchen with me while I prepare their food and they will come to a whistle and rolly polly in the kitchen while waiting for food, they live in the garage in their cat basket’s,if I’m in the garden they will come and sit near me but any contact is out of the question,the only contact they will rub up against me while waiting for food so they must trust me in their own way because they were born in the wild I respect them for their independence, they leave rats and mice for me at the back door.
