Big Flea Market Full of Old Vintage Finds & Antique Bargains!
It’s our first time, and we’re really excited about it! We’re at a brand new flea market that just opened this morning, and we’re here to find out what it has in the antique realm! Will we find great vintage we can buy for our collectors, or will it just be new offshore import junk?
We’re relieved to find that this big and busy market is a great place to buy antiques and vintage, and excited to see some of the bargains! A bevy of professional antique dealers have come to set up here in historic Franklin, Tennessee, and we find a surprising variety. Glistening costume jewelry, mid-century modern glass and primitive furnishings all seem at home together, and are (mostly) separated from the sellers of new Rada cutlery, diabetic socks and beads.
Best of all, some of these dealers are here to sell, and we find a bunch of great bargains on really cool vintage! From swung ewer vases to a good 1920s thread cabinet, we’re finding deals galore here, and we trek back to the car with a heavy but fun pile of cool vintage stuff. Blenko and Pilgrim art glass, a Disney Pluto figure, Pyrex and so much more end up coming home with us…our only regret is the things we left behind that we’re seeing with you now in this video!
This place looks like a good place to buy and sell antiques and vintage, and we no doubt will come back to see future installments of this fun new event.

George I sure love your adventures you go to so many places and seem so many things and I've learned so much I appreciate it thank you😊❤😊❤😊😊😊
You are one of the best thrifting/reselling channels on KZread… Honest, respectful, and fair… Other channels should follow your lead…
What a nice tribute to your mom. So nice to have shared such a love for collecting. Love all her cats!
Just stopping while barely started to say THANK YOU and THIS IS SO DELIGHTFUL! I have been subscribed to your channel since you had less than 200 subs...(was under my, um-ur real "given" name, which is too trusting these days I guess, my guy put a STOP to that ha ha) but yeah, Still crazy after all these years! THANK YOU, George and Xeno, for taking me shopping ❤ AGAIN!
I've lived in TN all my life, so many memories in Franklin. My mother, father and grandparents were all antique dealers and from the time i could walk I was taken to every yard sale, auction, flea market and estate sale going at least 4 days per week within a 150-mile radius. The only thing is that my house is crammed full of 80 % of my parent's items, 30 % of grandparents and also what I've collected. Glad to see you visiting our state, come back again. Much love.

Oh man, I want to come to your antique sale! ☺️
What a surprise this Antique/Vintage Show this was!…..I would have spent some money at this show. Good Stuff! Good Prices!
Another great video. Im a sparkle junkie. I didnt see you wear a hat today. That always cracks me up. Thanks George 😊
That wood GARAGE is 1960s. I received it from my aunt. Had wood cars, trucks, repair ramp, and possibly gas pumps(?).
32:26 The ubiquitous "high end guy with classic enamel signs that are always over priced to the max" . LOL. There is one of them at EVERY show . In fact, I wonder if it's the SAME GUY that travels the USA with these out-of-reach signs !?
Really loved walking this convention with you, Antique Nomad! I've been walking antique, vintage and craft malls since my daughter was a toddler, 40 years or so, and I enjoyed the items you showed. I collect handkerchiefs, old photos and vintage jewelry so walking alongside you is awesome! Do you ever run across evening gowns for Barbie-sized dolls? I found some years ago and loved buying them for my daughter and, now, for my great-nieces because then their dolls wear one of a kind gowns.
As an old Flea market junkie, love your show. Thanks
Always fun! I like that you like everything! That way we get to see everything! Thank you George!
I enjoy your knowledge of antiques
Good info. This show is really good, it has a great variety.
Thank you for taking us along…great flea market 💙
All those typewriters - that's my jam!
George I love this I like everything that you've seen explained to us I really enjoy watching your videos thank you😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you for looking and talking about the jewelry some.
What a great flea market. Wish I was there. So much fun.
Great video, George...thank you for sharing your knowledge with us....😊

Lots of variety. Very fun to see so many different things! Thanks George!

That was a fun time. Thanks!
So enjoyable to go along with you and learn something❤?
That looks like a fun sale!
A really wonderful Antique/Flea market!!! I can’t decide which item was my favorite…..!!😃
Great video! Thank you. It was fun.
Love these shows. Prices seemed very reasonable compared to some. Thank you, George & Zeno.💞
I forgot to add that my daughter moved to Knoxville TN 2 years ago and I'm out there 3 or 4 times a year so I'm going to check out Franklin - thanks!
So many really great things. You really don't see such variety like that here in Eastern Washington and if you do,it's way over priced. Thank you for a fun " tag along".
Franklin TN is home to a slew of Country Music stars, including Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and my favorite Rodney Crowell.
Hey George! Now that's what I was expecting when I went to the Custers Antique fair in Spokane this spring. Why can't they have things like that up here? It's not like there's a shortage of people. Maybe shortage of people interested in vintage. 😢 It looks like you had fun & I think you'd do really well there with a booth. Safe travels!
You're funny, George. I like EVERYTHING, too!
I would love to go here it has some cool stuff to look at and through for sure. Being completely honest I wish places of business would crack down on the pet situation more. It seems everywhere you go these days there are dogs. Some of us are allergic to pet hair and don't appreciate having it around all the time. Anyways have a great day
14:09 OMG! What is that SEAHORSE thing ??????? I love seahorses !
I'm with George: I look at everything! Even new stuff, if it's good enough. Bags of busted "junk" a specialty. 05:30 I'd have loved a good look at that menorah you kept passing over. (wrong holiday, but ....) 06:19 Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Gallilee from the looks of things. (Jesus to storm threatening to swamp the boat after being awakened by paniced sailors/disciples: Pipe down, you! ...and went back to sleep.) 13:44 That tulip copper candlestick...I'd have had my nose in the mark just in case.
I was at that flea market Saturday! Bought a clear jewelry casket and plateau mirror from the Indiana dealer you featured, and a European bread board from your friend, James, outdoors.... Yes, please set up as a dealer at the next one!!
So fun! Thanks for the tour!
There is a picture of me in the firetruck pedal car taken in 1967.
George, another fun trip shopping w you! 😊
I just love watching your channel. I am sitting on a lot of antiques & trying to gain some knowledge. Watching you with all your knowledge is very helpful & very very interesting! Thank you so much for sharing 😉
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
Lots of fun. Beautiful town. Thank u
Great video! I enjoyed shopping with you!
I’m signed up to have a booth there at the September market. I’m new at this and having a terrible time trying to get a booth in an antique mall here in Knoxville Tennessee so I’m trying some events. I am so happy to see this video to see what my competition is. 😊 Thank you for sharing this.
Good evening, George! There was a glimpse of what looked to be a falcon on a perch, at the beginning, that caught my eye. I like that sort of thing. Loved that spice set in the box! That seemed a really good price on it, too, with all that was with it. Loved the iris washstand set! What was that cane where the cardboard house boxes were? It interested me. No longer than it was, it looked like it might have been a child's toy. Those shell cameos were fantastic! There was a lamp next to the orange vase that really got my attention. It looked like a nice one...if it hadn't been monkied with and electrified. Loved that oak showcase the pocket watches were in. Those snuff boxes were great! I liked all of those. Loved that German spice rack! I really like kitchen items from other countries, with the language of the origin country on them. That looked like a place for me to go broke 😂 There was definitely a lot there that caught my eye. Thanks for the take-along!!!
I agree about high prices with a discount really voids out the buyers trill of getting a good deal. Disappointing really.
Good video. Found a lot of those prices to be more reasonable (especially on the vintage toys) than many I have seen lately.
Very nice v8deo. I lked this place. Wonerful variety..
You would fit right in there selling!
Wow, is right! I have the same cookie jar @13:54 I bought it at Kohl's when I bought my house in 2002. I'm sure I paid $19.99.
I love that place. I Like the mix. A lot of different items, Good place for you to sell. Looking good i'm enjoying all your videos
I always enjoy your channel. You amaze me with your knowledge
Wash stand set are actually orchids, Vandas I think.

Great video and very interesting. I noticed twice two people touching that horse race game, so annoying
thank you
Have you ever gone to Shipwreck day in Anacortes? Coming up in July. Lots of fun!
I have the lit-bug 😄
OMG, those cardboard houses, I have a few that my Dad made, probably in the 30-40's. Its more fun to sell "everything"
❤
Your knowledge, George!!!!! Are you in Tampa/St Pete soon?
Great video as always!
I have collected vintage umbrellas for about 25 years but I never see them profiled on collectible sites. Do you have any suggestions on where I should look? I'm in Salem Oregon, I love that you still maintain ties to Oregon!
Hi George good video I have always wanted to go there at Franklin Tennessee Take care be careful❤
I love flea market vids. And what a cute little town! @The Antique Nomad George re the oval cowboy photo at 13: 11 why is one cowboy in color and the other not? Thanks! Have a good one. ✌🏼

You should’ve asked about the Jewish clock because you have Hebrew people who watch the videos you make on utube 😊❤
A Slinky....😁 I had forgotten all about those. Your not the only one who couldn't get it to walk down the stairs...lol Thanks for always taking us along 💜
You are a cure such a smart man how did you learn all this stuff did you just learn that along the way or have you read books or what
Hi George love the spice set didn't catch the price
I was intrigued by the "Dick the cat" piece, so I Googled "dick cat vintage ceramic jar". Well, no cats came up, but I did get lots of "Cock" jars...rooster themed ceramics. Lol!

I have hundreds of avocado shipping labels, not sure what to do with them.
Any advice/resources on how to find these types of shows in the state of California?
Hello! You showed some jewelry and said something like "verboli" stones. I have a set with those stones that I'm trying to figure out, is that the right name? Verboli? It was an iridescent piece. XO
How much was the beaded😅 bag? That's what I collect ❤my grandmother had the wagonwheel furniture and a horse head couch
🎉😂❤
Horse racing game, how much?🤔
At times, you scan the shelves so quickly that it is dizzying. Either go at a reasonable pace, or show less. Otherwise, I enjoy you videos.
I really enjoy your channel but some of your videos are really blurry😢.
Fantastic!
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
