They Had No Idea! | Antique & Vintage Knowledge Really Pays Off

Shopping southern flea markets is fun! There's a strategy to finding the old stuff and finding the deals in these hybrid antique mall/junk store/vendor malls. One trick we show in this video procures a scarce piece we can sell for a 2000 percent profit!
Beyond the bargains, this place has a surprising amount of really nice antique and vintage for us to share! We're in Paragould, Arkansas, so we find lots of interesting pieces of that state's two early 20th century potteries (Niloak and Camark), but that's only the beginning.
From mid-century art glass and enameled soda signs to Victorian jelly cabinets and cotton-based art, this shop has a lot of really collectible and truly vintage stuff, sold alongside (and sometimes intermixed with) used clothes, cheap household products, garage sale goodies and import junk.
We show how we ferret out the bargains and sort the old from new, then wrap up with a short haul video where we show what we find!

I’m in Paragould and can’t believe that I missed you. I learn so much from watching your channel. One reason that prices are so low here is because most, here, don’t know what good stuff is and what bargains we have. Thus making it a great place for collectors to come shop. We have several antique stores and flea markets in the area, so come back soon.

So I’m still happy! I searched for the driftwood and even asked if they had come together and no joy! But at least now I know what I’m looking for 🤪

Hi George 🌹What a great stop even though you didn't get alot. Love the Whiting and David purse. I actually have a jelly cabinet (cupboard) in my kitchen it holds my cans. I have a wonderful old piece that had an old cabinet that had a Radio or TV in. Someone took it out. I have my microwave on it. It's a solid wood pc. I got it for $8 at an estate auction. It was in a garage and FILTHY. But I had checked it over and knew it would fit perfectly in the spot I had a microwave cart I hated anyway Love the box the gloves was in. I have several glove boxes but they are padded slick material. Love them. I also use the Method soap but I use the coconut water. It's great and smells SO Good. Safe Travels and have a Great Week😘

Unfortunately, a tornado hit our town a few years back and it has really shrunk in size, a bit like the town where you live in Kentucky. I am an avid viewer! Good evening, George! I liked that Niloak Mission Swirl pottery. With the colours being in the clay itself makes it really interesting to me. I would've had to dig through those fishing lures next to the tether car. That trout planter was a nice one...I'm happy I got most of mine years ago, when the prices were like $5.00. Thanks for mentioning the green drip saucers! 🙂 Those things are like trying to put together a Fenton "Orange Tree" table set😵‍💫 I'd have never thought they would be so difficult to find. Loved the Dr Pepper sign! That music cabinet was amasing! I have several of the white and gold celluloid boxes - collars and cuffs, gloves, handkerchiefs, etc. I liked that Beechnut tobacco tin. The annodised aluminium has always been a favourite of mine. I just had to add a beverage set of it to my collection😀 I'm amased at the amount of Dr Pepper in that mall/flea market! It's quite nice to see that! I'd love to have one of the clocks or a thermometer. Wow! That Blenko piece was a phenomenal find! 😲 I know you're proud of that one! That was a really enjoyable premier!!! Thanks for the take-a-long!!!

The bird figurines were gorgeous and if we still lived in Florida, I would love those. So yes, they’ll sell quickly. Thanks for the education as you browse. It’s very interesting.

Great find on the Blenko big sky vase. It sure does pay to know! I had one of those brown donut phones back in the 80’s. Enjoyed your flea market shop along!

I didn’t read comments too far back, but you can now get lock retrofit kits for the lane chests to replace the faulty ones
