I really find it kind of hilarious that he's just like "nah". "Not even for the paycheck you'll keep giving me anyway." His line at the end was gold, though. Just like "thanks for coming!" and that's all you get.

4:24 Charlie says "I'm like a frightened horse on a frozen lake." In San Junipero, when the blonde chick leaves the dance floor, her friend meets her outside and says "You were like a frightened horse on a frozen lake back there." Nice job stealing from yourself. I'm onto you, Charlie Brooker.

I think he used it in one of his Screen Burn columns for the guardian as well -- plenty of stuff that would later become episodes of Black Mirror, including the Pig Thing, are in those columns

The amount of times I've re-watched this is just sad.

After re-watching this for the umpteenth time, I've realised just how often Charlie is leaning towards David, or has his body angled towards him. Also there's a lovely bit where they keep eye contact for a good 20 seconds.

3:34 I'm not Russell's biggest fan, but I do admire that look of sympathy he gives in David's direction when everyone's pressuring him to dance.

Rob H I know and I like to dance- I felt they spoke eloquently on the position the non dancer finds himself in.

1:57 is really a bit painful to hear when you think about this being the year where David was still heartbroken over Victoria and basically unhappy about everything. :/

Shows what a great comedian he is. He took his heartbreak and spun it into comedy. I'm still amazed by how many people watch and comment on this video. Personally, it's still my favorite BFQOTY. Plus, if you need cheering up, there's always the You Have Been Watching episode in which Andy Nyman plays third-wheel to Victoria and David flirting with each other.

He spent the next three years still desperately in love and unhappy, even hating his career for going so well because he rather wanted Victoria and then she even dated someone else for a while... But then they started dating again and married and now they have a daughter and they are wonderful and basically were made for each other. ^_ ^

So I finally sat down to read some of these comments. I'm glad to see most people are just enjoying the Brooker/Mitchell banter (I'd love to see Brooker do another one.) That's why I made this video; I only ever wanted to skip to those parts. As for Russell Brand, I stand by my opinion that those brief moments were amusing (He's only ever amusing at best.) At least this was before he anointed himself as a "revolutionary." Anyway, thanks for watching and commenting. Naturally, I claim no ownership of any of this in case Channel 4 is watching.

He's an amusing foil for Noel Fielding. Pairing him with Jonathan Ross wasn't the greatest idea IMO. It was just to be indignant about the Andrew Sachs thing. Ross, too, can be pretty funny provided that he's with the right people. I've enjoyed him a lot more on recent Big Fat Quizzes.

I only just saw this. Can't remember when I adjusted the warning to timestamp the Brand clip, whether or not you had already commented. I can only apologize haha. Maybe If I ever do one of these again, I'll put a giant black square over his body.

Absolutely hate dancing. I understand at a party people usually dance, drink and talk to other people but it's not a necessity. When I'm at a party I won't force people to drink and have conversations if they don't want to so why is it ok to try make me dance? Ugh, people..

At the time when I uploaded this, I didn't hate Russell Brand at all. I wasn't a huge fan but he could be sporadically funny, especially with Noel Fielding around to pick up the slack. And I still think his joke about the VMAs is funny. But that was before he decided to pose as an anti-establishment "revolutionary" who probably did more harm than good in the long run. He should've stuck to being the ex-junkie louche whose biggest claim to fame was leaving uncouth voicemails on the late Andrew Sachs' answering machine.

Why is the world not trying to make more shows with these two doing...well, anything?

David: We initially went with 'Santa Claws', different pun but still- Charlie: Slightly better. David: Yes, slightly better. Charlie: Mm. That is a wonderful exchange!

If memory serves me correctly, I don't think Charlie actually said anything until 2:29, about 11 minutes into the show...

Not that he was some comedic genius on this, but I thought Russel Brand was supposed to be the worst person since Hitler. His comment about the rat was actually kind of funny. I could see how watching him for 90 minutes might rattle your sanity, but if you're that bad at picking movies, or just unable to walk away, who's the real fuckin' idiot here?

So I had this video playing in the background and while they were talking about the rat-eating plant, I happened to log into Facebook and the most recent post from I Fucking Love Science was about rat-eating pitcher plant (Nepenthes attenboroughii).

There were 399 comments on this video when I saw this so I felt the need to comment just so it would be a round 400. I like to think that David and Charlie would both apprrciate the sentiment.
