hello sir. this is Good explanation. sir, I want to ask about marking top segment of bifocal, where it is said the suitable one should be in lower eyelid. (please correct me if i am wrong). about that, I think usually an adult patient has a problem with his/her (loose) lower eyelid (maybe because of ectropion) So, can we mark it there (lower eyelid)?

You raised a good point.. I talked about normal persons. But if someone got ectropyon then still you will mark at lower margin of limbus.

Kryptok 22. These 22 or 32 etc means segment width of the bifocals.

If you will prescribe Kryptok in mypic and FTD in Hyperopic image jump will be maximum.So go opposite.

Thank u Sir. Please wat is d difference between fused and unfused bifocals? And please Sir, is it incorrect to tell d PX to look at ur forehead so u could mark his/her IPD, with the pen torch on, and u're both at d same eye level?

Dear...fused bifocals are the bifocals in which both near and near segment are fused by a Canada blasm or fused by heating process. These are very old version bifocals and nowadays we use solid or one piece bifocals. And your next concern is : Is that we can ask the patient to target at forehead when eye level is same. Dear it's totally wrong, When he will look at forehead his both eyes will converge, and that will be patient's near PD, And we required distance PD.
