I clearly recall how NYPD had to come to our K-8 grade school auditorium once in the 80's to warn the teachers and even us kids then about certain 'Mickey Mouse' and other toy stamps that had been sold right in our neighborhood grocery, candy or discount stores that were tainted with LSD on them. I remember the uniformed officers were describing to the teachers how the poor little kids who had licked those poisoned stamps did not even have a clue about what was really happening to them and I guess that the poor little children must have felt they were trapped in a nightmare or losing their minds.
