Bible Stories with Deeper Meanings... (Animation)

Фильм және анимация

Have you ever wondered why Jesus told his disciples to buy swords before his arrest? Have you ever considered the significance of the horde of pigs Jesus cast the demons into? Or have you ever asked why John 20:7 is even in the bible? Over the last 12 months I've come across a few theories about well-known passages involving Jesus that I had trouble believing. I was certain they couldn't be true but after studying the passages in question I was absolutely blown away.

Very well done 😊 But it’s missing something What 👂 the sword (Isaiah 28:23) has to do with their coming (Matthew 25:1 ancient scrolls) and the revealing of the mystery of the gospel of the kingdom not to mention the love of the truth (Daniel 12:7, 2 Thes 2:10-12) I chose the shepherd’s comment because he understands what he is to be watching for (Ezekiel 33) And he is going to have to make a very difficult choice (Matthew 22:1-3) You both know her wisdom is not in what she sees (Proverbs 3:7) But rather who and what she hears (Matthew 13:14) when he is coming (Ezekiel 33:33 Hebrew only) And the revealing of this secret causes A LOT of fear (Isaiah 28:19) Prophecy we don’t want to face or acknowledge is being fulfilled is and that includes what held him back (2 Thes 2:6) (huh moderators - they are 😡 at me) It’s nice to meet you both He always keep his promises (Rev 10:7, Amos 3:7) ) he promised to always send a servant to warn us (Luke 14:17) before he strikes (Rev 7) It isn’t easy keeping and teaching the least commandment of the king (Deut 17:18-20) until all is fulfilled (Matthew 5:18-19, Deut 4:2) including the book he writes Because of them (1 Cor 1:19-21, Isaiah 28:9-15) And hearing the sword definitely doesn’t create peace (Matt 10:34) I̅t̅e̅l̅l̅y outhat th*eof• effect theirεjust ice with speed yet the S̅o̅n̅ th*eofman having Hcome will hefind αρα th*e of faith in the*of earth (Gospel of Luke, 2nd century) Teach them to hear the lamp, shepherds Because you never know when a servant who wont tell him NO shows up because she 👂 the sword (Ezekiel 33:7, Matthew 13:19) forthe. seenot thelightofthe gospelth*eof glory whoishis imageθ̅Y̅ The̅ ofC̅h̅r̅i̅s̅t ALL going ahead and the. not remaining π in the teaching of the Christ has not th*e of θ̅N̅ and thė remaini ng in the teaching this he has the F̅a̅t̅h̅e̅r̅ and the Son (John’s second letter, 4th century) How accurate is that hidden wisdom they wrote ? • If you love me the commandments thë my will keep ‘ you • (Gospel of John, 2nd century) Hint: Rev 14:14-16, Matthew 13:47-52 It isn’t just the gospel I believe that is different (Matthew 25:9) my oil is too (Matthew 10:34) I hear the sword and I understood The sheep ॱthe my the voice my they listen ‘ and I I know them ᐧ and follow ॱ they me ᐧ (Gospel of John, 2nd century) Let who has ears to hear let them hear 😌

I was blessed as a teen to have a youth minister that was a Bible language scholar. He took the time in our classes to go over the tougher sections of Scripture and gave us their meanings through word studies of the Aramaic and Hebrew traditional msanings. We also did an extensive look at other religions to understand why we believed the Bible. So, I was fortunate to hear these explanations in the early 80's. I did particularly like your explanation of the "shortcut" to Christ's kingdom and the miracle of the ear removing Peter's guilt by removing the "crime". Thanks again for your videos!!!!!

About the ear being cut off, I understood also that Peter was acting on zeal without wisdom and so forth cut his ear, making his approach, one that lacks compassion. The servant therefore would not have "ears to hear" But when Jesus approached his enemy with compassion and grace, with perfect zeal and perfect wisdom, he(Malchus) had "ears to hear again"

Actually it's plainly simple. Jesus told them to get swords for their own protection not for His protection. Peter cutting off the ear of the man was him acting on his fleshly understanding. Peter was fighting for Jesus to not be handed over to the sanhedrin but God's plan required for Jesus to be taken so that He could be crucified.

The pigs and swords were new for me. Very intriguing. With the eye of the needle, that view has become quite popular on social media, and is very interesting, but it doesn’t have 1st century support. This gate was not called the eye of the needle till the Middle Ages. It is very interesting, and exciting to find possible different interpretations than we’re used to, but sometimes they hold up and sometimes they don’t. Something you may want to look into that I’ve found that I think is very interesting is the rock Moses strikes in the wilderness. 1 Cor. reveals that it was a picture of Christ. Check out the Hebrew word for when Moses “strikes” the rock and see how else it is used, especially in Isaiah and see how the cross plays into it, then check out the significance of the water (some key passages are Ezekiel 47, John 4 and John 7).

Moses name is actually the name given to him by an Egyptian royalty. Which means; “he came from water”, or “water”. The fact that he made water come from a stone, is symbolic as well. He was drawn from water, and water was drawn from him. Also, his people wandered in the desert, and he as the only source of water for them. Also symbolic, and literal. There are so many amazing layers to the Bible. The one that really gets me is that the Israelites had to be fed Angel food for forty years, and kept a portion in a jar inside the tabernacle. Moses was also, 40 years old, when he started his ministry. And he was given the ministry to lead his people. This harkens back to genesis, when God told Noah to build an arc, because a flood was coming. But in a miracle, after 40 days and 40 nights, they were given a sign. Here is the kicker. Remember, Moses means water, and after 40 years. The “water” (Moses) was left behind (unable to enter the promise land). In the same way, God promised earlier never to flood the earth again in Genesis. But also parted the Red Sea (water). Moses (water) was divided…literally, and symbolically. He himself was also divided (Moses). Remember the 10 commandments? Two stone tablets, which were thrown down in anger at the congregation. = Moses being divided. Red Sea = divided. Moses = water. God is a God of detail. And if we pay attention. He fulfills layers upon layers of intricate woven details into his narrative.

@@jaynsilentboom You're right about Moses being an Egyptian name, but "water" is not a part of his name, it just means "drawn out," and can even imply sonship. The name Rameses is really Ra-Moses, or drawn from Ra (son of Ra). I love that God supported his foreign name.

About the eye of the needle, I know it is a popular interpretation, but most scholars nowadays reject it, because there is simply no evidence the gaye was called the eye of a needle. It seems to be made up somewhere in the High Middle Ages. Actually, it even kind of defeats the meaning of the passage. With this interpretation, a rich person being saved is really difficult, but not impossible. Yet Jesus says that for men salvation is impossible, but for God all things are possible

There's a better theory being that camel and cable are very similar looking words in Greek. So a typo don't enough on one letter that looks similar anyway can mean it could be cable through the eye of a needle. Also not impossible but the extra ends will keep it from going through. 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness was old. Testament example and prophecy. Christ was fulfilling not only the 40 years of the Jews in the wilderness and overcoming temptation in his time. He was fulfilling what was spoken of him in the old Testament by the prophets literally quoting quotes from Psalms and so on. The legion of Demons chose to go into the pig for a pig has no sweat paws. Demons live within saltwater hosts. They knew if they were in the herd of pigs. There was no way out other than death into the ocean where they dwell. .. Also recognising Christ and trying to stumble him by calling him the son of God at which point he was only son of man for he has not gone through the resurrected Ascension yet … love Jesus love the word oh and JESUS was cast away from those people where he had shown his power by casting Demons out of a man they found their animals and livestock more valuable than the treasure of what they had just witnessed The living son of God ✊🏻 The significance of the desert also corresponds with the goat Azazel the fallen angel Satan and a Jewish practice of sending the goat into a desolate place with their sins building on that died on the outskirts Of the temple saving the entire world , When the choice was given Barabbas or Christ, a man blameless and innocent lamb in Jewish tradition would’ve been a goat carried the sins as the guilty walked free corresponding with the old Testament and the old way making all things new in him for filling the new covenant his blood ! Hope this finds any reader well and if you found this information interesting please take the time to listen to Hebrews the entire book of Hebrews. It’s the greatest hidden treasure in the new Testament corresponding with old and New scripture fulfilment and covenants and promises and faith. It’s brilliant life changing. When you said, "anyone who actually knows these," I admit that I was thinking, "pfff...I watch so much stuff, I'll bet I for sure know them." So I watched. And I found indeed: I did know of all of them, and then I realized, "pfff...I watch so much stuff," and that I likely have a problem of time management. I remember learning the eye of the needle thing is popular but also likely not actually in scope, but it's an awesome thought! So I still like to think of it. For the first one: CS Lewis said something brilliant that corresponds nicely with the temptation also: "We never find out the strength of the evil impulse inside us until we try to fight it: and Christ, because He was the only man who never yielded to temptation, is also the only man who knows to the full what temptation means - the only complete realist."

Somehow never thought about that... But it's also a reason, why Peter ends up somewhat 'paranoid'. After that whole ear-cut fiasco, you can imagine him wanting to hide. There would have still been soldiers around possibly seeking his arrest. So his denial of Jesus was a 'life-saving' measure. But those who save their lives, will lose it... ;)

The first: Yeshua was going through the same temptations (in order) that the Israelites in the desert went through. Yeshua quoted from the torah/law aka Instructions to rebuke the devil. Yes, we still ought to keep His commandments. The second: Israel are His sheep other nations are compared to unclean animals. hey mate, great content! keep em coming! i only knew one of the 5 points so i learned a lot from this video. anyway, speaking about biblical events with deeper meanings, i heard a theory awhile long ago that blew my mind about why Jesus had to go through baptism despite being perfect. so Jesus had to fulfil 3 roles - priest, prophet and king, for the roles of priest and king, he had to check off certain boxes. as king, Jesus had to be of the Davidic dynasty via the lineage of Judah, but as we all know, that side of business was already well established as per his genealogy in Matthew 1. as priest, it was a little more complex as there had to be special procedures through ordination that could grant him this post. according to OT legislation, there can only be one high priest serving at a time and he had to be properly ordained. a typical ordination ceremony after a candidate had complete his studies at 30 years old would involve ritualistic cleansing, anointing, followed by the laying of hands and the declaration of the candidate's inauguration into the priesthood to the assembly. in Jesus' time, there were two high priests - annas and caiaphas. the reason for that is the romans didn't like the existing high priest in office, annas so they shoehorned in a second one, caiaphas, acting on their behalf as their puppet to control the jews. This corruption of this sacred office delegitimised their posts as high priest. that being said, john the baptist, who was a levite of the aaronic priesthood (evident by the fact that his dad zechariah was too a priest), had ordination rights. At the start of His ministry when he was 30, Jesus was immersed by john (ritualistic clensing), had the Holy Sprit descend on him in the form of a dove (anointed) then was introduced to the assembly by God the Father Himself ("this is My Son in whom I am well pleased"). in this, He was legitimately ordained as our great high priest. Not sure how legitimate this theory is, but it blew my mind when I came across it. Can you verify?

The thing with the sword may also be seen as a mirror to giving us our choices in life- we have the free will to use what is given. In that case, the ability to lay harm. Though it was maybe seen to be justified (protecting our Lord) it was still a sin. And despite the act, good or bad, as you said- God lifted the sun and left us clean.

I dont think the eye of the needle is miss interpreted, but rather the camel, since a camel in hebrew also refers to a thick rope an anchor could be attached to. Similarly to the “gate interpretation”, it is possible, but takes time and sacrifice, so the message still stands either way.

I agree with you. Instead of "camel", we should read "rope" or "cable".

Yes I have heard this explanation too, but the Hebrew word for thick rope only sounds similar to the word for camel. The gospels were written in greek and they used the correct word for camel as they heard it from Jesus' Aramaic.

This is what’s great about God word, we can see others talk about it for clarity yes, but when we read the word ourselves, we find true understanding. We may each have a different perspective on the passage but the meaning will always be clear as day, even if it takes you reading it many times. His word will always break the barriers of understanding and become clear to anyone who takes the time to know it. And in the end we will know the exact thing God is saying as long as we continue to educate ourselves on Him while on earth. God is truly great.

quite interesting meanings for me the turning point is the following verses: 24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” 26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” 28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20.24-29

I certainly did not know all 5 insights. The "eye of the needle" was new to me. I've heard bits of the other 4 elsewhere. One of those people mentioned something else about the Gadarenes and pigs event. He said the whole scenario would likely remind the people of crossing the red sea with Moses. Who cast the Egyptian soldiers and all their might into the sea?.... Only the Lord, who was with them. The pig event is like a parallel. It adds weight to Jesus authority and reminds them of how Moses said someone would come who was like him (ie. like Moses). I thought that that an amazing insight. Thank you for sharing your efforts 😊

Excellent production! All five have incredible significance, and you were able to show some of the truths hidden in each of them… I believe that the first story is the most significant of the five Hebrews 4:15 tell us that he was tempted in all points like we are yet without sin… The first Adam handed the power of the earthly Kingdom over to Satan in the garden by not standing on what God had told him and failing to repeat Gods word back in the moment of temptation. The second Adam conquered the devil as a nan, by repeating to Satan what God had said. Thereby rightfully, taking the power back that Adam had relinquished.

That gate in Jerusalem was not known as the eye of a needle until several hundred years later. That interpretation does not hold up historically. The others are fascinating, and I definitely want to look into those to see if they hold up. The sword one was my favorite, I've always wondered why we get the command to take up swords and then a rebuke of Peter for using it. This really helped unify those passages.

Brilliant video my friend. Also, I knew about the significances behind each of the particular verses you expounded upon. One of the greatest things we can do, when it comes to having a proper understanding of scripture, is to first place line upon line and precept upon precept, but also place it in its historical context as well. And by doing these things, a person can begin to gain a greater understanding of biblical teachings. God bless my friend!!
