A wonderful video! Incredible helpful and very nice options that will make playing bar even more fun than it already is! I hope you never stop with those bar videos.

I've gotten good enough at front line fighting to get compliments from my allies and I did this with completely unoptimized interface. I've been using cntr+C for commander because I think TA had that hotkey. This is going to increase my power level for sure.

After losing many games in BAR, I finally won in a 1 vs. AI. Great game...it even improved upon the original

Use to LAN Total Annihilation every weekend as a high schooler. Played BAR last night for the first time, exactly the same game, probably uses the same game engine, just new look and new skins. Its AWESOME!. Wintergaming doing the LORD'S work!!! Thanks for the videos!

Zero-K is another TA successor that's also available for free on Steam, and Sanctuary is an upcoming nextgen successor that should come out later this year or next year.

the reason with people crash at their first game, is because they didn't let the game cache the info. When you first log in, you will see in the button left corner the caching % wait for a 100% before launching a game.

Just downloaded the game. Love the concept of Total Anihilation/Suprem commander. And i see there are many things from Red Alert 2 :D And yes from RA2 i am used to repeat command :D After almost 10 years i'm going back to online RTS, wish me luck. In Generals and Warcraft 3 i was a monster xD

How do you track a unit in grid? In default it's the T key, but I don't see a key assigned for unit tracking when using grid.

Thanks very nice video but I wonder if there is a way to cycle through land, air, navy in my selection? Right now I have the problem that when I only want to select say my land or navy in an specific area the air units are included in the selection. In FAF (Forge Alliance Forever) you can assign a hotkey to cycle through the different unit types. Just select and press one time for land, press once again for air, third time for naval and then back to land in a loop. All the units are selected simultaneously in the background but only the active category (land, air or naval) reacts to your orders. Is something similar possible in BAR? If not how are you handling the problem with selecting just land, air or navla but not the other types in the same selection box? Because I'm getting crazy on the game when the units are mixing. Hope I don't sound to frustrated :) Yours truly P.S. English is not my native language.

Sounds like a useful widget to make!

So does anyone know how to use the "Transport AI" option or can explain to me what it actually does and how to use this feature properly? I Interpret this as similar as how Supcom used to handle this but I'm probably dead wrong here. I set a factory waypoint and put a transport on the factory to "assist" it but it won't pick up any units coming out of that factory.

I know its a bit late but i also use grid but the ctrl q split command dosnt seem to work for me

I tried to make a complete new account but after a while I get a message if I enter under the new account, informing me that I can't have a second account and I suppose to join with the first account instead!

@17:20 took my system 8 min on the first game load, over 6 before it even showed a load bar, def thought it had crashed now my system is old but still, it's not that bad, all games after load in under a minute, would probably be faster if the game was stored on an SSD instead of HD

How do you show that efficiency bar at the top of the screen where the commander counter usually is?

somewhere under settings during a game. there is an "advanced" settings button to reveal more setting options, potentiall there.

Thank you. Could you show a game with a split screen with larger keyboard on one side. This way see your fingers dancing while explaining everything you can what you are doing? Not a good stream on twitch. Including what you are doing as your attacking, or what and why you are building. What your concerned about ETC..... I am a visual learner, words go better with the pretty pictures. Thanks 👍

alt+click on a factory with repeat on adds a single unit that won't repeat to the 1st position in the queue - the factory will finish building the unit it's currently working on, build that single unit, and then resume it's REPEAT queue. so Eg. a fac that's queuing 1. rocketeer (70%) 2. grunt 3. grunt 4. (rocketeer) 5. (grunt) 6. (grunt) when you alt-click a worker into the queue it will be 1. rocketeer (70%) 2. constructor 3. grunt 4. grunt 5. (rocketeer) 6. (grunt) 7. (grunt)

Is there a select all ground, all air, or all naval?

hold right click and draw for line formations. press f and then hold right click and draw for fight version

You can also do the same when firing weapons by pressing A followed by hold right click and drag to get multiple units to target over an area. It's great for spreading out fire from multiple tactical or nuclear missile launchers

i think what you are looking for is. ctrl + move command to maintain current formation. alt + move command to make a grid formation.

i hate the keys graph XD i hit alt + F4 for fun XD also is there a way to skip an order and continue with the build such as you que up a bonch of orders but shift+rmb a factory then your unit just sits there helping the factory .... FOREVER and never continues is there a way to skip that order

I’ve seen a cool rts called D.O.R.F. that’s in the works, the soundtrack is amazing and the look of the game is dark and gritty. Very C&C like

The sheer number of options makes "Setting" a game of its own....you might not even play the main game and be satisfied 🙂

is there a hotkey for BASE Camera?! I know Commander is either TAB or CTRL + TAB

The !notify command doesn't work for me. I get nothing and am just kicked from the lobby. I wish there was a way to configure it to automatically save and stop my chill AI game

ctrl+q doesn't seem to split units for me, is this a mod?

I don't get it control +b doesn't work for me, it's control +d and alot and alot of the things you say here don't apply to my game, what's up with my game? are there different options for different controls? i don't get it, TAB doesn't select my commander, ETC...

he has grid controls enabled which you can enable in ingames settings. (enable grid and enable grid hotkeys) you are probably playing with default controls

It's not there in the lobby, you have to be in a game to get access to all the settings
