Best way to fatten your worms, feed them rabbit poop

Rabbit manure is loved by composting worms in huge ways. It keeps them healthy and it makes them nice and fat. Rabbit poop is a cold manure which means you can feed it right to the worms. Rabbit poop does not need to be composted before feeding

I've seen tons of videos about homesteaders that raise worms right under their rabbit cages. Scoop them out into a wheelbarrow and pick out as many worms as they can in a short time. Put the worms back under the rabbit cages and empty the wheelbarrow on the garden. Rabbit manure and castings in the garden. (Maybe a few worms also). It doesn't get better than that!!!

Always great information. Do you add worms to your garden? Do you harvest the castings for potting soil or to amend the garden? I am raising them mainly for making my own seed starting and transplant soil mix, but I do plan to split my bin when the population gets high and add the extra worms to the garden.

I do put some worms in my garden when I have an over abundance . I harvest the castings for my personal use and I sell some. I’m looking to open an eBay store to get rid of them that way

When I was a child we use to hunt rabbits for supper. But we only did it in the winter. The reason is wild rabbits have worms in the summer. Not sure if the temp actually plays a part or a change in their diet. Maybe professional breeders could answer that. But it might ease your mind knowing one way or the other.

I feed rabbit manure to my worms all the time. Sometimes I put in a handful or so at a time and sometimes I just put the manure and bedding from the bunnies into a mortar tray and add worms to that . They eat it up and they will be fine.
