Great stuff. I got the 20 year thai elite back when it was one million baht. Best decision I've made. I like not having to ever worry about my visa status.
one of the best videos about Thailand Visa. Simple and to the point. just subscribed

Thanks for the sub!
If your plan is to live in thailand long-term the education visa might screw your plans, i know of people that got rejected for the thai elite visa application because they had ed visa prior to that thru agents and obviously if you're planning to stay in Thailand 5yr+ , doing the education visa every year will not work in the long run
Thanks for this information Paul! 🙏

The new Thai Elite visa for Oct is an absolute joke. The price has increased in 5x for 20 years.

Not a visa-friendly country, they don't want you long stay.
Hey Paul, moving to Bangkok next month. I looked at the Google reviews for the building our Airbnb is in and saw your 3-star review. Hopefully it's improved since you left 😂Also, the guardian visa and investment visas are options as well

Heey, thanks for the video, do you kow for USA citizenns or European nationals, the immigratio ccheeccks your bank statement or just the passport will do??
I want to go to thailand for a year . I checked the visa information. Theoretically it should work to get a multi entry visa which is valid for 6 months and unlimited number of entries into the country and 60 days per entry but can be extended for another 30 days. Then you need to make a visa run. And repeat the process. This way you can get 280 days but I would say 270 days is more realistic. Do you have any experience with something like this ? 😊
Wow!You have my first name and middle name! You must be a cool guy. Thanks for the info. I was going to get an Elite Visa next year but now I don’t know how much a Superiority Elite 20 year Visa will be. I’ll just have to go for the retirement visa. Will I be able to pay an agent to do my renewals for me each year?
@iPaulLee

Wow! Haha that’s awesome. Yes a trusted visa agent should be able to handle all the paperwork, however you might be required to visit the immigration office in person from time to time depending on your visa
If I may ask, what Thailand visa are you using?
Cn foreigners apply to Elite visa? From my country Finland when I want to take a long-term visa they say the long terms are only 50+! And tell me to get tourist visa which I do not want because I want to be longer like now we are talking about months and years! So we are planning to come back to Thailand next year beginning so can we apply there Elite visa?
What about a marriage Visa? Don't you get Thai citizenship if you marry a Thai national?
Is it easy to get a visa every 30 days as a canadian to stay few months in thailand 🇹🇭???
What visa do you have?
Hi Paul Lee. Thanks for your great information. Can I enter Thailand with the excemption Visa (for 1 month staying) and then while I am in Thailand requesting a Toursim Visa at the immigration office (which gives me another 2 months)? Is my understanding correct?
@iPaulLee

That sounds correct but you should confirm with a visa agency or expert

I know this is an older video but I hope you can help me, or any person watching this, with a question. Been to Thailand before on the 30 day exempt. When I apply for an extension do they do a criminal background check? I have an unfortunate choice I made in 2018 resulting in a felony for a bar fight. Bad choice, my fault. I am planning another trip but may want to stay longer than the 30 day. I’m just worried about the extension process and can’t find an answer anywhere. Thanks in advance man 🙏

You can apply for Thai Tourist e-Visa online before you arrive in Thailand (it is available to citizens of 23 countries, including US, UK, EU, Canada, China, Korea) and stay in Thailand for 60 days, this visa can be extended for another 30 days in immigration office. If there will problem, probably you will know it when applying this visa online. Also Thai visa rules are changing significantly right now, very soon visitors from most countries will receive 60 days visa exemption stamp (instead of 30 days), which also can be extended for next 30 days. But when the new rules will come into force is still unknown.
Many of the VISAs you mentioned are NOT VISAs young 9not rich) people hoping to live long-term in Thailand can obtain. Without a Work Permit from a registered Thai company, the other VISA options are too expensive for those hoping to live on $2000 a month. The Retirement VISA is only for people 50 and meet income requirements. The education VISA is under close review. The local MoE-accredited Thai Language School closed its doors after 20 years due to fewer students being approved. Elite VISAs are going away or adding considerable investment/income to apply. LTR VISA is also targeted at the wealthy. Add to that is the ever-increasing number of VISAs that health insurance with at least $50,000 (1.775m baht!).
Can you make and work guid visa like not every one is from USA or uk where the speak eng super good :)
Hi Paul, I have a question. I am a US citizen arriving in April 2024 in Bangkok from Tokyo. Will immigration let me into Thailand if I do not have an outbound flight from Thailand to another country? Thanks

Were you able to enter without problems?
So for a United States citizen they can stay for 30 days freely, then apply for another 60 days, and extend it again for another 30 totaling for 120 days without having to do any extra visa situations?
@littletravelmonkey6727
6 ай бұрын
No. 30 days visa free, OR, apply a normal tourist visa that's good for 60 days with the possibility of extending another 30 days.
So...is it possible to do the visa runs indefinitely? 1000 baht plus 1900 baht for a month extension (for a total of three months). Do this four times a year. That comes to 11600 baht ($322.13 usd). Is this correct?

You'll have a lot of issues at the border and airports after your 2nd or 3rd attempt at this
@Yasmuraz

Border only 2 times per year, and flying is going to be similar and to the agent’s discretion. Can deny you for seeing you’re only trying to get around their system. Essentially they want you to buy a visa. Best option likely for you will be buying a tourist 60 day visa, extended up to 90 days. And you can probably do this atleast 3 times, if not indefinitely. Again subject to the immigration officers discretio.
This world is crasy with dis visa visa everywhere I will make all boether in the world open let poaple live where they want stop borther❤

If I had that much money, I wouldn't stay in Thailand. Majority of people stay in Thailand because of low-cost/budget, so they put up with the disadvantages.

@mbvalency most young people cannot move overseas long term.. it is mainly more feasible and makes sense for older folks on pension. Young people can have short stays here and there but this idea that anyone can pack and go live wherever they desire is a bit of a fantasy

Hi, May I share the most important news you will ever hear in your life? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?
