Consider yourself very lucky. You don't know how eager I am to visit Bangkok and if possible stay there. It's the best city in the world for me, better than even New york or Chicago

Rooftop pools are my weakness. That's why I want to visit Bangkok. It has the best rooftop pools with the best panoramic views I've ever seen. Kingpower Mahanakhon is also another reason plus not forgetting the rooftop bars. I wish I could stay in that city forever

I am an American living in Korea and have enjoyed all that Korea has. Korea is a really awesome country. And now i have visited Thailand 2 times in the last 9 months and can’t stop thinking about it. Thailand is so awesome in so many different ways than Korea: Awesome food, tropical climate, cheap cost of living, relaxed atmosphere 😂

When you say that everything is more affordable, does that also mean that you earn less money compared to where you had been before?

There are always so many incidental costs in Thailand. It's not cheap at all to live there now. Prices are on the rise . Be careful not to get too carried away with having fun vrs practical living .

I live in Florida and visited Patong Beach twice this year. I loved how nice the locals are as well as the businesses in the Paradise Complex area. Once I found a local to help me, I learned to love the food also. The heat is oppressive (I thought our heat was bad!). The roads, sidewalks, electric wires and the public schools are examples of how low a priority infrastructure is. The large number of buildings falling apart is concerning. My new friends think I am rich because I'm from the USA. They complain about working all day and not making money when there are no customers. I tried to explain if they want to get ahead they need to join together, pull their funds, and support each other. They lack the education to get ahead, I feel bad for them.

I can't be the only one who feels that Forrest gives off an awful vibe. In this interview and his channel he seems very bitter and antagonistic about everything and keeps talking down about people who live an ordinary lifestyle. Love Paul as a vlogger, very respectful and unbiased.

10000% agree, I recently went to Thailand again for a month in April. I learned from February up until I left ABs when I got there I was able to speak to locals and experience a side of Thailand I wouldn’t have of I didn’t. 1. I actually was a corner for a Muay Thai gym I was training at because I could speak both English and Thai. 2. I was able to get free stuff because the local Thai merchants appreciated that I took the time to study before coming. 3. I met amazing people everyday, that invited me out to parties or showed me to local markets that weren’t very touristy. 3. Even the Tuk-Tuks were happy to see that I spoke Thai and they didn’t hound me when I told them I was just walking around and enjoying the city. Learn Thai off your going to Thailand, you will have a better time. One thing though for some reason other tourists were very antagonistic and seemed to frown upon me speaking Thai when I did. Weird but the Thai locals loved it.

29:36 .... I played it back numerous times but you said starting prices here are at 10 billion baht which would be insane and unaffordable for anyone at 271,964,600.00 US dollars. I think you meant starting at 10 million baht. It's certainly a nice place where the only one I actually found practical is the 2 floor bedroom loft as it offers the most open space. The first couple was like a entry-level cabin on a cruise ship and entirely too small. Thanks for taking the time to show us as I'm moving to Bangkok in 6 months and been looking for something like this 👍

The cost of living in America is very high. It’s not necessarily anti America but we begin to realize what real freedom is outside America and that we want more time to enjoy life with family and loved ones instead of just being stuck at work. You made the right decision to move to Thailand.

As an American and I also live in Thailand as an expat. I really started to laugh when the steaks came out. Thailand has the worst beef in the world even if it's imported from Australia. Steak (beef) here is the worst value in the world and I have yet to have a decent steak in the 3 years I've live here. The worst being at Eat Am Are. Thin garbage. Not cooked properly and extremely poor quality. I would love to see the face of someone that has lived here their entire life and traveled to the USA and ate a filet or Ribeye at a quality steakhouse. Paul knew it would suck that's why he immediately put on tabasco sauce. Even the worst steak in America is better than the best steak in Thailand. No I am not a hater, I absolutely love Thai food. When in Thailand stick with Thai food and never eat at foreign restaurants or the malls.

Life in the USA is terrible and the whole violence that takes place daily makes the USA not my choice of country. I am also in South East Asia and it is the best part of the world. I have travelled to Thailand but more to Vietnam and I definitely see the “foreigner privilege” everybody says it so so cheap yes for us because we bring a stronger currency but life is not easy for the locals. In Vietnam you have a lot of overseas Vietnamese aka “Viet Kieu” going back to Vietnam and yes they have a great time because they bring US dollars, Aussie dollars or Euros Life in Vietnam for local Vietnamese is anything but cheap and easy. You have families of 4 people surviving with 20 million VND or less which is 780 USD. I this foreigner privilege also contributes to the hidden resentment and anger that a lot of South East Asians feel towards foreigners. In Thailand if there is a street fight between a Farang and a Thai all Thai passersby will jump into the fight and beat up the foreigner. I think that KZread and all social media are actually making things worse because anybody can just watch videos and see how good the life of foreigners seems to be. In Vietnam also people ask me why I don’t go to the USA or Europe and I choose to come to Vietnam when all local Vietnamese want to migrate out of Vietnam.
