My American wife of twenty years made me lunch once when someone asked her what did she give her husband for lunch, she pulled out a packet of saltines from her purse and tossed them at me. My current filipina wife takes care of me in ways i never imagined. Makes sure i take my medicine every day, have something to eat every day, actually treats me with love and respect.

I had a Filipina that took care of me the same way but my mistake was being flexible with her going into the world and even getting a job and making more friends. That was my downfall. These "friends" convinced her she can do better. So she acted on that. That's when the lies and deceit and decline of all the she started doing with me.

Actually, I did not even know that anyone was mad at them. If they are mad however it might have something to do with the fact that many of these guys are constantly badmouthing Western women, as they stupidly think that their own limited personal experiences with Western women are somehow a representation of all of the hundreds of millions of Western women out there. Instead of looking within themselves for why they are having troubles with women they simply blame it all on the women. Anyway, as someone who has been traveling to and living in Asia for over 40 years now, I have obviously come across many of these guys and personally I never had a problem with them. What I DO have a problem with however is that now that we have finally come up with a name for these types it is something as totally retarded sounding as “passport bros”. In fact, I refuse to even use this term when I talk about these guys because is just sounds so utterly moronic.

Paul - very well articulated. Well done. I've been living in and out of Asia for 20+ years, and I've observed women, particularly in Asia, describe themselves as "simple" and "family oriented". Simple being there way to describe themselves as traditional. While a woman in the the West would consider the word Simple as an insult.

I can’t say for any Asian women, I can say only for my nationality THAI. In Thailand women work so 80% of households here have 2 incomes. But we Thai women never act like we are superior. We respect our men, treat them well, be feminine and appreciate chivalry. ❤ I find it quite odd that many “housewives” in America act like they are the empresses and their husbands are just peasants.

Passport Bro's is actually a new name for an old concept of men finding foreign woman or a life in a foreign country. It's only in recent years that this has accelerated because all western countries and western woman have very little to offer many of these men and so now we are seeing much larger numbers of men do this. Passport Bro's is a handy umbrella term for it all, but men for decades have been actually doing this and it started way before black men.

All facts my friend and well said!! I have lived in Thailand for 2 years. I moved from here from Los Angeles, one of the capitols of entitled, woke and clout chasing US women. Having moved from New York, I'm sure you understand and can relate ;) Not to stereotype, as there are some wonderful women in the US of course. But overall, the different dynamic in dating you describe here is absolutely true. And I agree that Bangkok is definitely the best city to live in the world for a man for a multitude of reasons (and not just women of course). So glad there is a place like this for guys like ourselves who can think outside of the box and have the balls to start a new, more balanced and happy life on the other side of the world.

I pretty much agree with all of the points. The only thing I might add about partners and political beliefs is this - NO ONE should be labeled just because they align themselves with a specific politician, however, I do think it's normal for women or just people in general to not like you based on your political beliefs. It can be hard (SOMETIMES) to get along with someone when you have opposing political beliefs, especially with how politically divisive the US is at this moment in time. So along with looks and status, women will also filter men out based on their political beliefs too, which I think is fine.

Hello Paul, you described my ex wife, I am retiring in two years and moving to Jomtien, the reason I am moving to Jomtien is I love the beach and the cost of living is so much better in Thailand. I visited Thailand this year for two weeks and love it, I will be going back in Nov-Dec. 2023. Maybe I can invite you to dinner. Thank you for your honesty from your perspective you are telling & speaking 100% TRUTH

I recently discovered you from Tribe of Men that covered your video about your transition from NY to Thailand. I’m so glad that I did as someone that’s looking to go abroad someday and appreciate your balanced perspective on this topic. Especially with the amount of truth bombs you dropped that exposed a good majority of western women and the absurd tactics they use on men.

As someone who has been living in Bangkok since 2016, I would agree with 95% of what you said, Paul. My only caveat is regarding your extreme optimism on Thai women. If we are talking about educated and good-looking Thai women, they are not needy and don’t want to move in with a foreigner after 1 or 2 dates. And they are not as monogamous as you might think. The game here is a little more complex than that. In any case, thank you for speaking out the truth and for sharing your experience in Thailand with us. Cheers

How do you meet women to date as a foreigner in Thailand? Do you use apps? Obviously you could "just meet someone" but what if one wanted to about it a bit more purposefully (and isn't really into going out to clubs and stuff anymore). And I'm not talking about paid services ;)

I am a successful man in mid 30s from Vienna, coming from a very liberal viewpoint. Now I am Bangkok since one week and one of the main reason was as "passport bro" and try if this is true what all talk about. Besides I also love the friendly culture and a lot more. I dated in Europe Vienna where I am from so much and had a really good dating life, but I always felt like running after something, with a lot of blood and pain. Dating was sometimes like a job and woman were never satisfied or happy. Even for friends which were really like 9/10 it was a struggle and they were sometimes depressed about it. Here in Bangkok I already dated a few woman in the first week and made so good experiences, caring for me (like I do for them) and it feels just like in another world. Maybe like it should be.

The saddest reaction from western vvomen for me to the passport bros is bashing vvomen in other countries saying they are uneducated and poor. I grew up in a developing country and found the vvomen more intelligent and not poor. Hard to have an intellectual conversation with western vvomen because they see themselves as victims. I see them as so entitled that they feel oppressed. They have no idea what oppression is. Western vvomen are free to be strong and independent, they shouldn’t expect others to go along with it.

Exactly, this was right on the money. And I mean accurately conveyed and explained. Passport bros exist for a good reason. Even animals go where the land bears more fruit.
