Best value for money Vauxhall Astra or Ford Focus, your choice, watch my Review & Road Test

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In terms of design, not a lot has changed on the face lifted 2019 Vauxhall (Opel) Astra. Its interior remains the same as the previous model and the only real difference to its exterior is at the front end, where a new upper and lower grille design gives it a slightly more aerodynamic profile.
Under its skin however, you will find a number of chassis and technology updates along with a new range of petrol and diesel engines. Technology updates include a new digital front camera with a higher-grade camera that also helps to improve the Astra’s traffic sign recognition system and Vauxhall has reworked the Astra’s suspension system, keeping it competitive with the Volkswagen Golf, the Ford Focus and the Mazda 3. They have also incorporated a new style of shock absorber, which results in a much better ride.
There are no less than six different trim levels available, with entry level spec models offering 16-inch alloy wheels, a large infotainment screen, air conditioning, rear privacy glass and cruise control. Mid-range models start from £21,895 and include 17-inch alloy wheels, a front camera system, sports seats, chrome window trim, LED headlamps and an alarm. Sitting above both these models is the Astra SRi VX Line Nav, which starts at £24,195 and gets front fog lamps and black trim. Finally, the additional features for the range topping Ultimate include a premium Bose audio system, a wireless smartphone charger and Vauxhalls’ IntelliLux Matrix LED headlamps reduce glare for other road users.

Down to earth video, had the 2016 version and loved it then traded it in for a Crossland x which I must admit not too keen on visually but off to view the Griffin edition Astra today, can see another trade in happening😁 Again, an honest review, you didn't try to sell us the car, have us the pros and cons which I liked👍

Which is better astra 1.6 petrol turbo or Audi A3 1.6tdi? How is the soft suspension between the two? how is the inside car noise between the two

This is by far the best review i have seen of this car however it doesnt acknowledge the 1.6 turbo petrol which is like... just way better and more fun than it has any right to be. I literally just traded in an m sport 228i for the 1.6 turbo petrol elite nav and as an all-round car I dont think there is anything better. Not even a Focus. And the best part is it is such an unassuming car, nobody expects the performance from the 1.6. The cringe red "turbo" badge is the only giveaway. Its not brain busting performance but for the price and the spec nothing gets close. My car even has these ridiculous cup holder things strapped to the front seat headrest mounts for people sat in the back 😂 they will be going. And seeing as they are no longer using nasty Italian gearboxes, the reliability you mention in the video should hopefully be legitimate.

If this review is about the new facelifted model then you've all the wrong data on engines

  • @johnny_gamez7162

Yep the engine data is wrong for the facelifted thats the prefacelift but it's now 1. 2 3 three cylinder turbo petrol with 130 or 145bhp then a 1.4 3 cylinder turbo petrol with 145bhp and lastly a 1.5 turbo diesel with 120bhp

    @@EverythingCarsandMoreECAM Pre-facelift post 2017 yes, pre 2017 its correct. I have a 2016 estate with a 1.4 turbo producing 125bhp, there was also a 140bhp option as stated.
