A couple of weeks ago while my tiger sport 660 went in for a service, I was lent the tiger 900 gt , what a bike great low down and mid range power where it’s needed , great handling and at the time they did a low version ( just right for me ) but being retired couldn’t afford one + plus the new models they don’t do the low models anymore, reason no one requires them , I do with my dodgy hips , I’m 72 . All I’ve got to do now is win the lottery 🤪🤪😊👍

Enjoyed getting the Tridy660 same time as you & after a season traded it in for the Sport660 with all the bling, bells & panniers. It served me well for about 9000mile incl. a quick trip from 🇨🇭back to our roots 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿&🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 in '22. Passed it on, since our dealer passed away & have a Street Triple 765 . It's s great bike & instill think that engine ought to be in a detuned form of 47/95bhp variants in the TigerSport & Trident. Looking forward to our snow melting away to get my hands on the 400's for testing. Big hello from here to you over there 'not-on-the-continent' 👋✌️

Both 400s look like fantastic little runabout bikes. The best part of the khaki green tiger was the white frame. If any other colour option had a standout like that it would be just as popular in my opinion.

Triumph is more dedicated to the new and poorer rider with the mid range models (these and future ones) and bikes for the non bikers; like those tigers etc; then still somehow keep the Speed twin; that the 1200 is a real nice bike (not so the 900) Then, nobody actually wants a cafe racer (I have 3 old Triumphs and a Thruxton R with the fairing etc) as a daily rider or commuter so the sells seems were not so good.

Quad lock 🔒 is an Australian invention- Our story started with wanting to explore the world. Well, at least some of it. With Australia as their backyard, Quad Lock founders Chris and Rob rode bikes on empty roads, explored mountains on foot, and deserts in the car. But they didn't have total confidence taking their phones out there. So, they did something about it. A few years after the release of the first iPhone, Quad Lock was born. And a Kickstarter campaign in 2011 launched a premium iPhone mount - loved by cyclists worldwide. The range has since expanded to other pursuits, with enthusiasts all over exploring more with their phones securely in sight. Paul - from Australia

I commute on an old Tiger 800 and it does feel a bit big considering it rarely goes above 50mph and I have to filter a lot. I think the 400's would be a bit small (I'm on it for 2 hours a day), which then means the Trident or smaller Tiger? I'll definitely have a look at the Excel in February.

One of each, please! Seriously, I have the "last" generation of the Speed Triple, a '19 "S" in white and it has been the finest bike I have had the pleasure of owning to date (riding 50+ yrs, some 18 street bikes & many dirt). For a "machined from billet" fine, sporting, torquey street bike it's hard to imagine a better choice. Believe me 148 crank hp is more than you need and the delicious low down torque makes shifting largely optional. I'm VERY happy with my choice!

I love street triple R and RS. I was so close to buy one when i called my insurance company in Sweden and that was a chock. Almost double the price as my Triumph 900 GT Pro insurance. And that was the cheapest price looking around. How is this possible? For this small street triple. Then i looked at honda cbr650r and thats a more sporty bike inline 4 and that was half the price comparing with the street triple. How is this possible? Price going skyhigh in Sweden but insurance cost even for smaller bike is insane. And then i am 56 years old. This is madness.

I'll miss the Thruxton - beauty of a bike, the commemorative one. Does the downgraded Scrambler, XE to XC, with its not-top-spec components still say 'Premium'? I suppose they did some market research and felt that the XE had sold as well as it was going to, so slightly different buyer segment was needed.

Triumph makes amazing motorcycles, and I’m a fan, but it’s time for them to do more. Currently, the updates mainly involve just changing the color - for example, the Speed Twin 900. The instrument panels look cheap and outdated; there’s no USB-C, the LCD looks awful, like it’s from 10 years ago, and competitors are faring much better in these aspects. More modernity is needed. Those single-cylinder Speed 400 bikes aren’t even considered as Triumph; they lack proper sound and performance. In short, Bajaj says it all. By the way, TFT instrument panels are good 👍

@MOTOBOB did they "scrapped" the idea of a 1000+ (maybe 1200cc) "big" Tiger Sport model and just go with the 660 or would be the next big thing? That is the real question....

@davidfisher3273 They were building Tiger 900's when I visited this time last year. They've put in a big new line now that can build most of the bikes in the range. I honestly do recommend doing the tour, it dispels lots of misconceptions.

too bad thailand strips off many featuers of each to make more $$$. Customers get less for more bucks ! The 900GT pro and tiger 1200 are the only ones with tpms. Maybe new 1200 scrambler will have it. ; along with quick shifter ??? usa gets tpms for years ;on the street twin, bonneyville. Sad but true. The speed 400 and scrambler 400 should be great for local commuting. !!

All look incredibly well put together but so much product on the market these days not really a motorbike shop if you don't have a thousand machines on the Floor OEM for sale as new. Need to include OEM part supply on hand, maintenance and sustainment via over the air updates and notifications so until then still not really interested other than as a media product still for any of it.

I toured Europe on my Triumph in the 70,s then it was my everyday transport for years and years in central London. Great, their back! But why so large engines? 500cc was perfect. Why no longer beautiful metal silver motors? Much nicer, more beautiful, than those cheap looking ugly black things. The silver raw metal engines seemed to say, "look at me, I'm proud, I'm beautiful, I'm the heart and soul of this machine". The new black blobs seem to say, "don't look at me, I'm just an invisible boring opaque blob, look at all the plastic colorful garbage around me instead".
