Greg, I thank you enough for your videos!! This one really helped! I’m definitely ordering this trimmer!!
Well done video, I am trying to keep my beard looking good , have had mine for along time but did try to groom it as good as I should. Your video is much appreciated.
Dude…only five minutes in and already the best beard trimming tutorial I’ve watched! Thank you so much. No has mentioned what length to have the internal guard on Brio at, and you cleared that immediately.
Great tutorials, Greg! Thank you sir :)

Another excellent video from Greg. FYI I originally found your channel when searching for tip on head shaving. Loved your recommendation on using conditioner.
Got the Brio trimmer for Christmas so following this protocol. Yields a good standard length beard, not too short or too long.
I trimmed my beard watching your tutorial. It’s the best trim I ever did. Thank you!

Great video Greg! My beard is a about 2 inches long and I keep it nice and trimmed using your methods I learned in your other videos, and I have the same trimmer. I can't get over how nice and tight yours looks in this video. I might have to go for it as the wife likes it a little shorter. It is a great professional length. Thanks for making these!

Love your videos. But I did opposite of you. I had the brio . It was ok but I had a heck of a time getting some of the combs to lock on. I went to the Wahl trimmer with the T blade that you use to use and I love it! Keep those videos coming!

That Aqua Trimmer by Wahl is a favorite of mine. Good choice!
Great routine Greg. Love your videos. When you grow your beard out, do you continue with the 9mm or maybe slightly bigger guard down the sides ? What I mean is do you keep the sides in check and really focus on growing just the bottom? Thanks so much for all of your efforts. Your videos have helped me a lot!
@GregBoswell428

It really depends on what I want the end result to be. I usually let it go for a long time when growing it out and if I use anything at the big beard stage it would be a 25mm just on the face of the beard

@@GregBoswell428 thanks so much for the reply ! I will keep that in mind throughout the next year. Happy holidays to you and yours !
Hello! I really enjoy your videos. Why do you go with the grain instead of against it with the 15mm guard?
@GregBoswell428
2 жыл бұрын
It cuts differently. Against the grain takes it much shorter.
perfect Greg ! you know I always love your videos ! if you decide to go a little bit shorter on the next videos please go against the grain on the entire face with 19mm guard and then shape it 😍❤️

Trimming against the grain takes a lot more off and the hair lays differently.

@@GregBoswell428 thank you good sir, I am like a month in to growing what I eventually want to be a short beard, even less then yours, like maybe a 10, rather then 15, but wondering if I should already start trimming the stragglers off I am getting and weird long random straggler hairs? My shaping is almost identical to yours, but feeling like it’s getting a little wild and not tidy….Thanks again

Hey Greg, I’ve just trimmed the sides down with a number 3 guard (9 millimetres). I used to do this technique plenty of times but today I decided to go for a sharper stronger look and went over the sides a few times, and now it looks like heavy stubble! Like you, I like the full look. I personally don’t like it when you can see the skin through the beard. Your beard looks to be very tapered on the sides and yet also very dark and full! Is it down to the number of go overs with a number 3 guard or are you just blessed? 😂
@rustyblade9366

Did you go with or against the grain?

@@rustyblade9366 believe it or not, with! But roughly after a week it grew over. So now I’m just going to shape with a number 4 guard instead.

@@thevikingofhardcheese4080 It's one of those things that goes against beard trimming culture I guess, but I always go against grain, even though I know it trims more hair. But I feel like it trims more evenly that way, I feel like I just compress the hair and flatten it against my skin when going with grain, and it doesn't even cut anything. Going against the grain cuts everything the same, and you actually get the length of the guard. But if that is you in the profile picture, you should keep doing whatever you're doing because your beard looks really freakin good
@thevikingofhardcheese4080
Жыл бұрын
@@rustyblade9366 I know what you mean! Sometimes it can feel a bit hit and miss and almost random at times with how much hair comes off going with the grain. I know I could always go to a barber but I almost feel it’s waste of money if I can do it myself. Im certainly no pro though! 😂 It is me in the pic, thanks man! I appreciate it! 😁 I’ve been toying with the idea of shaping in a ducktail beard when it gets long enough. What type of beard shape are you going for?
@rustyblade9366
Жыл бұрын
@@thevikingofhardcheese4080 You're welcome my dude 👊Well basically I go for a full boxed beard look, with an emphasis on a longer chin area and a shorter sideburns area, to help elongate my face. I wasn't born with a particularly strong jawline, lol. So anything that can take the roundness off my face is good. Atleast I was blessed with a pretty good beard I guess 🤷♂️My chin is trimmed at 12 mm, the sides are trimmed at 9 mm and the sideburns are tapered with a 6 mm and a 3 mm, creating sort of a fade. I like a natural, full look, so I try not to have too sharp lines and fade it too much. To get a rough idea of what my beard looks like, look up pictures of Obi-Wan Kenobi's beard and that's pretty much it🧔♂️
Dont think a 9mil guard is good if your hair is lighter.... You can see my cheeks on a 9......have to have it longer
