I hear up evertime. I have been at military funerals and a funeral for a couple of police officers back home. In August 2019 I learned I have Scottish ancesters that date back to the 13th century. My maternal grandparents came from Finland. That is all the family knew. They are all gone now. I have Scottish, Swedish and Finnish on my mom's side. Plus Viking.

At the 2003 Edinburgh Tattoo there was a notable gap in the initial parade of the masses pipes and drums of about 10 soldiers. The MC pointed out the gap to the crowds , and then said ‘ but they flew in today from Iraq , please welcome the Black Watch.’ .. they marched in playing the pipes all dressed in desert fatigues.. there wasn’t a dry eye in the place....

Good God In Heaven. This to a Scot is what this beautiful country of ours thrives on. Music from the pipe bands and the lovely scenery, clean pure highland fresh air, sparling waters from the heather clad hills. The famous peat water that makes our whiskey what it is. Pure and strong with the taste of our great country. The comraderies, last but not least. "The once seen never forgotten memories of our land."
