This also apply for cleansing oils. When you're looking for a cleansing oil make sure to check the ingredients list. Try to find an oil hight in Omega 6 oils if you have oily skin and omega 9 if you have dry skin! More than not, if you break out from a cleansing oil, this is the reason. You're not using the right one for your skin. Just a tip , i hope it can help someone.

I use the rosehip oil from The Ordinary and it seems to work just fine, but the Stratia one sounds good. Whenever I’m in a splurging mood, I might give it a try. Until then, $10 dollars from TO is hard to beat.

I am LOVING that Stratia sponsored this! I didn’t know they did sponsorships, but I’m so glad they chose you. 🤩 It’s about time since you’ve been talking about them for years! I’ve been very hesitant to use oils because of my oily acneic skin, but I’ve been doing your trick of mixing the Stratia Fortify with the Liquid Gold and it seems to be okay so far. This was very informative, so thank you as usual. I will take this knowledge forward in my routine. ❤️

I've read from a couple of places that people with dry skin might benefit from oils with higher omega-3:omega-6 ratio (such as avocado, argan oil) and higher omega-6:omega-3 oils (e.g. rosehip, chia) might be good for those oilier skin type. I think the theory is the skin may be deficient in one of those types and using the oil will help balance it out. This has been my experience with rosehip as I have combo-oily skin and used to suffer from moderate acne. Persistence was key with me! Started off 2-3 drops in moisturiser at night (did find myself a little oily in the morning) and progressed to it as a single step. In 1 week, my skin felt softer and smoother. By 3 months, I was producing less oil on my T-zone throughout the day and was having less issues with acne. It is still part of my routine 5 years on and I also use it as an eye cream substitute. If you want to make a matte foundation more dewy, add 1-2 drops of oil in. Have just found your channel and am enjoying your content!

I love all your tips and tricks!! One of my fave oils is the prickly pear seed oil!🤩 Also, people say I'm crazy but I also rub my hands warm and then put them on my face, I didn't know it helps the absorption (which now that you mentioned it, makes sense!) but it's for sure super calming and therapeutic! Have a great day!💞

When my skin was the most damaged, when everything I put on it stung or burned, the only way to make it feel better was to use jojoba oil to clean my face followed by a spritz of mineral or thermal water then shea butter. I had always been told that jojoba was best for oily skin, but I think you’re right that it may be best for combination or drier skin. All I know for sure is that my skin felt relief the moment I applied the jojoba oil. I like using a blend of avocado, argan, and marula oil during the day. I used to include some jojoba in the mix but stopped when I was cautioned that it might reduce sebum production. I think I’ll add some in again as an experiment. The Stratia oil sounds like something to try instead of mixing my own. Thanks for that tip. Are you planning to talk about other oils-avocado, sweet almond, moringa, maracuja, castor, coconut, olive, etc.-in another video? How about butters-shea, cocoa, mango, etc.? I was told that hemp oil was the most balanced in omegas for ingestion, containing the optimal amount of 3, 6, and 9. Is that not true when it’s applied topically? As you can probably tell from the questions, I’ve done some experimenting with single oils and butters (and then blends) when traditional moisturizing and cleansing formulations weren’t working well enough for me. I’d be very interested in your opinions.

I've been using FaceTheory Lipade Q10 oil blend - it's rosehip oil, echium oil, and murula oil with ceramides and coenzyme Q10. It's nice and silky smooth, absorbs beautifully (no heavy oily feeling) and has been helping with my dryer-leaning dehydrated skin especially going into fall. My approach is: toner, essence, serum (I would skip serum if I had a multi functional tret Rx like yours), mixture of Stratia liquid gold and fortify oil like she shows in the video around 6:30, tretinoin cream. I wait an hour or so after that to let it absorb a while and then i apply a heavier cream on top. I have dry skin and I find this is the best way to help avoid irritation and flakies for me.
