I went from 40 to 35 skin looks just that much better. ❤
I only got into K beauty recently (which is how I found your channel) and that Paula's Choice toner was my holy grail for years! I stopped using it because I was tired of paying the price. It's nice to see others enjoy it as much as I did.
Have you tried the Scinic Prestige FTE? I know you love the original and was wondering what you think of this version of the essence. 😊
My skincare empties- Gold bond retinol- Repurchased it Numbuzin 3 essence toner-Replaced it with Benton green tea toner.
Illyoon! Love it so much!
Which do you prefer between the wishtrend propolis essence and the cosrx propolis toner? 🫶🏼
I like the Wishtrend for breakouts because it has a lot of willow bark in it with just a little propolis. The Cosrx Propolis toner is good for light moisture!
Which website did you buy it from
I finished the Benton Fermentation Essence, Good Molecules Niacinamide Toner and the haruharu wonder Black Rice Bakuchiol Eye Cream.
such a cutie! Love that lip color on you! 🥰
Thank you!💖
I love the Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence ❤ I've wanted to try the serum for a long time but after watching videos of people using it, it looks so sticky like glue and people say it sits on the skin.
The serum is rather thick so if you don't like that texture it won't work for you!
@@KellyDriscoll I don't mind thick because my skin is on the drier side but I don't like sticky lol especially when people say it feels like glue.
How does it compare propolis serum to the Skin food one?
I think she did a review of both those products awhile back. I think the Skinfood one has a bit more weight to it so she uses it in the fall/winter more often. She wears the Wishtrend one usually in the spring/summer.
@@tarawilt5281 thanks!
Tara nailed it here! I'll add that wishtrend is better if you want propolis for soothing breakouts since it has added zinc PCA and heartlef. Skinfood is good for moisture!
@@KellyDriscoll thanks Kelly! I've been watching your videos religiously since 2020 but I wish I could remember each one..☺️ Tara has a great memory! 😄
so relatable to the summer vacation nostalgia
I LOOOVE that particular Neogen micro ferment serum - but obviously I'm one of the few who does (Tina here on KZread - who raved about the essence - didn't like the consistence and I know there have been bad reviews on online shopping services as well; I bought my first serums on a sale and the essence on full price but the rest of the serums have also been on reduced price and now it says they will be discontinued 😖💔😵🖤🖤🕳️ Awell... I guess I have to find another retailer. It's just that I got that particular Neogen serum for such a great price there... I should've stocked up on a little bit of a hoard... 😅😊
Did the Neogen serum irritate your skin like the essence?
It did not, to be fair I used the essence about 4 years ago so my skin is in a different place!
Ohh I’ve been using this Paula’s choice toner for like 5-6 years. It’s just too good. I love the feel of it Milky but no oil feeling. Ingredients are great lots of antioxidants which is what made me purchase. I use the smallest amount everyday and night and the 4 oz bottle lasts me like 4 months. Sooo good!!
Kelly, did you see the video that Lab Muffin made about hyperpigmentation, where they explain that tranexamic acid does not work because it does not penetrate the skin due to its chemical structure? A very interesting video that I don't actually know if it works. I would have to try, but there is a Nineless serum with kojic acid that I find interesting. A hug from Chile 😘
I saw it and have also seen other experts say that transexamic acid is only effective when taken orally. Not effective topically. I wish my skincare influencers would get together on this topic
Kelly, thank you for doing more iherb shopping options, they have fast delivery.
I have been eyeing tranexamic acid skincare for quite some time 1. Haru haru TXA serum 2. Skin1004 brightening capsule ampoule/brightening capsule cream 3. Anua niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% serum 4. Cos de baha tranexamic acid 5% with niacinamide 5% serum 5. Numbuzin no.5+ glutathione vit concentrated serum 6. Naturium tranexamic acid serum Would be nice if you do a comparison of TXA acid skincares that has multiple synergistic brightening agents like arbutin, niacinamide, vit C and their skin suitability.. Thank you
Have you tried pair acne cream? It's magic, dare I say.
The Inkey List has been my gateway brand into skincare... I feel like it's such an affordable, well thought out collection that can help many beginners find their stride. While now, a couple of years wiser, I've moved on to k beauty and more complex formulations, there are still many products from them that I use daily: - oat cleansing balm (my introduction to double cleansing... Not a perfect product, but a safe one to go back to) - Hyaluronic acid cleanser (a gentle low ph cleanser that can do no harm) -SA cleanser (didn't work for my face, but I use it twice a week on my body after weightlifting to keep body pimples away) -azelaic acid serum (my one true love 😂) - caffeine eye cream (a lovely, simple morning eye cream which has given me good results) - retinol eye cream (i use it every night layered with the cosrx snail peptide eye cream) - Succinic acid treatment (of course) - hyaluronic acid serum (i actually use it on my very dry tired hands) - chia seed curl cream and pepride volumizing serum for my hair - bio active ceramide moisturizer (solid middle weight moisturizer for transitional seasons) Products that have been big fails: -PCA bonding treatment for hair -both the mineral and chemical sunscreen -C50 serum -Vitamin moisturizer I'm curious about trying their squalane oil for winter and the pha toner
How would you compare the HaruHaru TXA Serum with Paula Choice’s Discoloration Serum?
I just had 4 bad cystic acne pimples on my chin, they just kept popping up! I was so depressed 😔 so please talk about dark spot treatments alot more😊😊😊😊
Ive just used the Haru haru serum where I went through a couple bottles because I love it so much, the ingredients are so good! The Numbuzin 5 serum is another kind of similar serum that I like for pigmentation. I have not used Mizon in years, the last thing I used was their snail cream and the 8% AHA way back in 2020 but forgot about them as a brand
I have did nothing but binge watch all of your videos since I’ve found you a few months ago. I got my sister, mom, and so many girlfriends to watch you & subscribe as well! You’re my go-to for skin care. I trust your recommendations, and I’m just so thankful I found your channel! ❤❤❤
Kelly I just want to let you know that I follow SO MANY skincare youtubers, but you are the only one that I do not miss any uploads from :) I like the way you do your contents - sharing your experience with an item, explaining ingredient list, calling out potential irritants, etc. You do it in such a calming voice and calming pace, putting your video in the background as I do a walk or workout is becoming a habit of mine. I love your "self care corner" at the end as well. Just want to write these to show my appreciation of your content, thank you for keep on doing this. I will continue to support you by watching every video of yours :) Cheers
Agree!
I've been doing the same! I'm so done with foundation, especially in summer! It's just too much to try to reapply. And my skin is looking good, so why bother🤷♀️💗 My favorite product from this month is the Geek and Gorgeous Power Peptides! No more trying to pair my copper peptides! (Not that I followed the rules anyway😉😆) I love how plumping it is! I may never buy TO's copper peptides again 🤷♀️Yes, I love it that much💗💗💗Have a beautiful day, everyone 🌤🥰
I’ve used that Paula’s choice toner for 15 plus years and it’s my favorite skin care product ever!
It's such a goodie!
Yes, so good!
Just wondering about the skin1004 Centella Madagascar soothing cream is it essential oil free ?
Yes! Please review 0:04!
I wonder how this haru haru tranexamic acid serum differs to Anua txa serum, cos de baha TXA serum and skin 1004 TXA serum?
Likeable and helpful video - thank you for this one - as always I find it too long for the few thins that really matter in a suncream, like ingredients, SPF or overall look and feel. Could have beeen said in 10 minutes easy, but maybe there is a rule for high rated videos to be at least 15 minutes long. Me personal I wish I could spend the 5 minutes on another video...without the "fear" of missing out something important...
I want that Haruharu dark spot product. I just got the PC Resist Replenishing Toner free with my order, along with 3 other products. PC Skin Recovery Toner is my favorite. This one is a lot thicker almost like a serum, if you use too much it'll feel heavy. The Skin Recovery Toner is a light weight milky toner that instantly calms skin. The texture is silky and it absorbs completely into your skin with no residue. PC has the best toners.
Hi Kelly Summer is the season where I don’t need as much buttery thick creams (super dry, rosacea, eczema and menopausal). I can play with some of the popular “dry skin” products that in colder months just don’t cut it for how dry I am (I usually need a body butter on my face overnight and a ton of oil😂). I bought the beauty of Josean moisturiser on sale to try. Despite being really lightweight it is actually occlusive and locks in the skincare (with a little oil 😂) underneath. Last Summer I used the skin1004 probio cica cream and really liked it. As to makeup I always go much lighter in Summer and use tinted moisturiser, serum blush and tinted balm or gloss. The eyes a stick or liquid shadow and some colourful eyeliner makes a fun simple eye look. I have rosacea so I want some coverage but not full on makeup as such. I’m using the Ilia skin tint in the dropper bottle this year as my tinted moisturiser - it’s really good on dry skin but beware those who have combo or oily it will probably feel too shiny/greasy. I use ultrasun all year round and move up to the fifty plus spf in Summer. The spf30 face is lighter weight and works great for Scotland most of the year, but the fifty plus is still an excellent choice and better for Summer. It’s longwear and water resistant. Best wishes x
Can I still use the ordinary 10% niacinamide? Or should I stop that and just use this, I need it for oil control.
“Go away dark spots serum” 😂😂
How does the Mizon Cleansing Oil do on waterproof mascara? I have been looking for an Isntree replacement too ever since I used it on your recommendation years ago! I only got through a bottle or two before it was discontinued. 😢 It was perfection.
Great conversation about summer vacation! I'm guilty of being too "nose to the grindstone" as an adult but I'm committing to more fun this summer, and I love the idea of sitting out on the patio or porch with a good book. Btw, the top you're wearing looks so beautiful on you!
It’s cute and funny how you refer to all the skincare with analogies to addictions: “it hits different” “jonesing” even the way you refer to getting the grits out. You are goofy in an endearing way.
I totally agree!! She's just adorable and relatable and watching her content always makes me smile 😊
I want to get this Mizon oil! When they first released it it was in a tube packaging and it got negative reviews because of that. I don't what were the thinking?! I'm glad that they repackaged this :)
OMG I recently saw that too, very bizarre choice!
Which gives better result Paula's choice discoloration repair serum or Haruharu dark spot serum?? Plz reply.
Would love if u will do a video about fragrance free cushion foundation. Its so hard to find good fragrance free cushion
I remember trying to put one together a few years ago and I gave up because I couldn't find any that were fragrance-free with shades that work for me! It's a really tough one!
@@KellyDriscoll they are back in style now and there are soooooooooo many of them on the k/c/j beauty sites. so please look into doing a vid on them! would be v helpful
Kose has light cleansing oils under 10. Light and cleans really well. My new fav oil for efficacy and price. Love massaging my face w it.
I love the Softymo one! ❤
I got the haruharu serum as a free gift with my order and it is AMAZING. Wonderful serum!
Wow that's an amazing GWP!!💖
Love that you brought up summer vacation and nurturing the child within. I definitely miss that freedom feeling as well ❤ favorite product from the month nineless 10 percent azaelaic acid, stratia lipid gold and interface ( thanks so much for the lipid gold rec) and finally tried the cosrx propolis synergy toner. Looove the glow and benefits!!
I'm so happy you're enjoying Lipid Gold and embracing those summer vacation vibes! ❤
You immediately sold me on that mizon cleansing oil! I loooove fluidy textures, I'm currently using pyunkang yul and love it! I wonder - how long does it take you to finish a 30ml serum? I find that with a daily use (twice a day) it takes me over 2 months to finish it and the reps in store always tell me it shouldn't last more than one month. Am I using too little product? 🤔
a 30ml serum for me is like 2-2.5 months with 2x a day use, I don't think you're using too little! Burning through a 30ml serum in under a month sounds like using too much, or using it for face, neck and hands!
@@KellyDriscoll great, thank you for the reply!
Hi Kelly… will you do a cleansing oil comparison video? I currently use DHC (which I love) but wondering if there is a more affordable alternative that is just as effective and also fragrance free 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hi mam.. You should try VHR skin lightening gel . This gel is working from day 1
Not so many days I bought the Haruharu go away serum for my mum (both of us have “brown” skin) I will give un update ❤
It worked really well, I had so many dark marks from a break out, and they faded in a month, I was very surprised! Ps. This was the only product I was using with niacinamide and tranexamic acid.
Hope it will work amazingly! 💖
❤
No one for dry skin girlies like me?
the last one (cerave) is for dry skin
Thanks for being honest
