The saddest thing in life is not being able to do what is my true passion. I can not afford to volunteer. { I have contacted many rescues and reserves}. I have offered my services not as a tourist but as a way of life for the rest of my life. I had made offers telling of my love for nature and animals, and all I would require is food and a roof over my head. I am interested in long term and have been told by many that if I get my degree, then the cost is much less.{ honestly I gave up as I found all avenues were a dead end. } I am open to any advice you may have as I truly want this in my life. I have always had this passion but took another path in life; however I just beat a year and a half long battle with cancer and now healthy and strong again. I am still hoping there is some way I can do this.

Can I just say thank you so much for making this video! Because of this channel I actually went to that Ranch and I've made so many friends. Thank you so MUCH!!!! Planning my next trip back (: Loved seeing a young Sand, Solo, and Shae.
I love the look of this volunteer project. I would love to do something like this. Volunteering with animals in Africa has always been like the ultimate bucket list dream for me.
OMG it IS the best job ever! The problem with these volunteer programs most of the time is that you have to pay quite a bit just to get in ☹

+Elizabeth Travels we do agree with you on thst. Some projects are less than others depending on countries. It does include your accom, food, transfers and all the interactions and of course the volunteer work.
Cango Wildlife Ranch!!!! I interned there this summer and it was an incredible experience!
I want to volunteer at one of theses programs when I get older they seem so awesome and life changing 😀😀❤️❤️

Excellent all the animals are lovely
Aww so good!
Great video👍🏽But the ranch is actually called Cango Wildlife Ranch and is not in George but in Oudtshoorn. I stayed there myself.

Hey how do you get a position volunteer in a place like that?
Ok.... im obviously not an expert, but this seems like an interactive zoo. If this was to help the animals shouldn't they be raised with no human contact and then released when they are old enough? I did wild cat volunteering in South Africa as well and that is how they ran their program. it seems like petting cheetahs and playing with them is making them into this organizations pets. This makes me sad. Releasing the cheetahs should be the priority, not "plan B."
How long are you in George for? You should definitely do some hikes if you get the chance, the waterfall hike in Wilderness or St Blaize trail in Mosselbay which is all along the cliffs next to the sea. Or you could drive up the Montague Pass and do wine tasting at the top. Hope you enjoy it, really beautiful part of SA.
10/10 guys I love that you guys are so passionate and Aussie!!! ~ Reags +1 sub

Baby Cheetahs! Really want to volunteer here now
Hi! I’ve been really interested in these volunteer programs on go eco but I was just wondering if you guys get to do all these special activities because you work for them, or will we have the opportunity to do all these activities there also?
I absolutely loved this video...there was so much going on! I really want to look into doing a goecco trip! Any advice for a couple that lives in the US?

+One World Two People pick what you want to do (animal vs community) then a country you want to explore afterwards, then go on their website, check it out and try find some reviews when deciding between them. If you like one we have done we can tell you our honest opinion on it!
Did they provide you with food and accommodation or did you have to pay for it yourself? I want to volunteer in the near future and I'm interested in different options.
which job are u doing ?which job to choose when ur an animal lover
great vlog guys! but i feel like we miss out on a lot of stuff with only 3 vlogs a week...

+scratchstefke ill chat about this more in an upcoming vlog but as we are here for work we feel like the vlogs wouls be more interesting as 1 awesome vlog than 3 drawn out ones!
i need advice on how to do eco volunteering work whist travelling with little to no money
7:55 which song is this?
I'm a little disappointed. I remember you saying that when you were traveling you would daily vlog, then when you're at home it would be three days a week. Great videos!

+Scott Barnstable sorry that you are dissapointed scott. I think a vlog or 2 before we left we did say that this trip wouldnt be daily vlogs as we are out here for work. We think the one "awesome" vlog would be better rather than 3 "okay" vlogs
What job is this?
panda project seemed better but this was up there.
for how long time were you there and how much did you have to pay for it? I have been looking at the website, that you are linking to in the description, and it says minimum 2 weeks. Were you there for that long? Cheers!

No we weren't but we are a bit different to your standard volunteers as we come in there to make videos - they allow us to stay shorter :)
