All those projects really seem amazing and like great fun. I'd really like volunteering that way but I have the feeling that it is the money people pay that achieves something meaningful rather than the actual work that can be done in one or two weeks. With the large number of projects you have volunteered at, do you have a cooperation with GoEco?

Wow! I’m in LOVE with all of these places!! I want to take my 16 year old daughter to a volunteering trip, I believe it will definitely change both our lives, I want her to see the beauty in being of service to others and to our Mother Earth and it’s amazing creatures. I also wanted to go volunteering but it was too expensive for me. Goeco looks awesome but I just do not have the money for it. It makes me so sad because helping to achieve a better wildlife is something I am really passionate about.

Joy Geske You can look the places up they went to and just message this place directly. It’s so much cheaper than doing it with an organisation! I’m going to ecuador in the wildpark they’ve been and it’s actually half the price!

Joy Geske it’s not expensive just save $1000 and go and stop think of expensive....... use workpackers and workaway.... where you can make a profile $49 for one year....... and then you apply to job or countries or state you want to explore and learn there culture stay for free..... only thing be expensive is your ticket to where you want visit.

So funny, I was JUST reading your blog and rewatching your volunteering videos because I'm really interested in volunteering. I'm always afraid that companies are just scamming people but your videos help show what you'd get to do during these trips. Thanks!

haha oh WOW! well we pre-emptily made this video knowing that you would probably ask us which project was our favourite :P haha. We have only ever volunteered with 2 companies before and both have been great, but as you can see we kinda stuck around with one of them for longer!

what wonderful experiences as volunteers, the best payment or result that can exist is a smile from a child or grandparent, and seeing that face of an animal is really beautiful, I remember when I volunteered at my university 4 years ago, it was a Asylum in Carabayllo, our job was to read books to the people who wanted to study and learn more about some specific topics. I'm not going to lie that it was difficult but at the same time beautiful. It was satisfying to see a nice smile on their faces and to be caught hand in hand to thank you, this reminded me a lot of my grandfather who is not with me, and that at some point we will reach an age where we will not be able to do many things and we will need someone.

Being a volunteer shows that it's a lot of fun. I am really interested in volunteering and I would like to help the animals that are most in danger. Their videos help show people what they can do on their trips and it is very nice.

Just the video I needed that I didn’t know I needed. Determined to make my travels more meaningful, this was perfect for that. Thank you so much! New sub!

This video is so helpful - thanks so much for sharing and giving us the links too. I've been wanting to volunteer for a long time but I'm so hesitant of whether it's really beneficial or just 'voluntourism.' Helping the pandas in China would be my biggest dream!

It's funny that I am coming to you guys from advice from my tiny country Belize and you just happen to have volunteered here!! How awesome!!!

I think that volunteer work is very good and interesting I would love to participate in proyects about wildlife because it is an important and sensitive subject and I feel that this type of project would help the planet a lot.

Really cool Volunteer projects! Some of these also allow you to get closer to nature! I really liked the sea turtle project!

You're so sweet I love the part when you were volunteers in schools. So, when you were in Costa Rica helped turtles, it was amazing!. The baby turtles are adorable. You tough job it was woth it.

Travelling and turtles ,can't get better!

You live an awesome life, I love to volunteer, in places around where I live, but I want to volunteer around the world. It would be so cool to be that close to different species of animals and interact with them, and know that your doing something really great both for yourself, others around you.

Jess is so pretty and so genuine. Love people who give back🌏

Great ideas for volunteering. If you go to Thailand you should volunteer at the Elephant Nature Park, Chaing Mai. It’s life changing. You can volunteer to help the elephants, or the dogs and also a cat sanctuary. HIGHLY recommend this!! We are an older couple in our mid fifties and there were all sorts of age groups there and it wasn’t too physically challenging.

I think Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai Thailand should be on this list, if you haven't been, I highly recommend it. I know some mentioned expense, it's fairly cheap (about $380 for 7 days), the offer food 3 times a day (buffet style, vegetarian, and all delicious!), and transportation from and to hotel/airport, the most important is the learning and emotional experience you'll get from it. Also, it's not just a sanctuary for elephants but dogs, cats, water buffalo, monkeys, and horses.

The volunteer projects look incredible. I would love to visit some of them. You should try Tasikoki wildlife Center in Indonesia one day. It's an amazing place to volunteer.

After I finish school (hopefully will happen in 2 years ;)) I want to travel also around the world - mostly volunteering. It honestly depends, 97% of the time being vegetarian is fine but there were a couple (now this is 2 out of 55 projects) particularly in Africa where they thought being vegetarian meant replacing meat with a potatoe and that was our meal for the day. But a lot of times the food is fine, you can always bring food and they take you to the shops once a week if you are worried!

I laughed pretty hard when you mentioned the monkey island. In my hometown, homosassa, Florida there's a monkey bar and grill. It's a island with monkeys, a little monkey playhouse, and then a bar with a viewing section of the monkeys nearby Kind of unrelated, but it made me want to do that project just because of the connection 🤣

At what time of the year did you do the sea turtle project in costa rica? If I'm staying only a couple weeks isn't there only need for either walking patrols or freeing the baby turtles because they have their seasons for that? I hope you know what I mean

On our travels we found that IVHQ are probably the most popular organization (there are 100s out there) so maybe that's why their prices are higher? They know they get the volunteers anyways? So quick tip! None (or at least most) of these organizations (IVHQ or GoEco) own the projects, they are simply an agent that sends you out there! So 9/10 you are going to get the exact same volunteering experience whether you go with either company. When we volunteered in Thailand, everyone was there doing the exact same work, but they had all come from like 10-20 different agencies.

I've been there a few years ago and I just loved it! Now I am looking for a new volunteering program I could do in 2019 and I can't decide between the one in Ecuador and the one in Costa Rica. @@auroraqoshi9353 i think I paid around 1300€ for 2 weeks. But I didn't do enough research and there are cheaper organisations with which you can go to the farm. (The farm is called Glen Afric)

Hi, I have done volunteering on mission trips with my nursing school to an orphanage in the jungle of Thailand, community clinics, and providing healthcare in Madagascar..and there is no better feeling! I have truly have found my passion for helping others and traveling at the same time. I would love to experience helping animals too. I am so thankful I came across your vlogs.
