Yes the crane 2 is a strange one with a huge grip, the MOZA is better but only new gear if you feel the old doesn’t do the job, have a great day!

How do I find this power cable?

Did you need to use an offset plate or adapter to make the pocket 4K fit? I’m imagining that I might be able to just use one of the additional 1/4-20 holes on the bottom of the smallrig cage but not sure. Also do you think the Samsung T5 SSD mounted on top of the smallrig cage in the usual location would interfere with any movement axis?

Did you have to use a counter weight or some modification to make it work?

Good review. The full-size SmallRig cage does, in fact, work with my Ronin S. I had to add counterweights which make the whole thing heavier as it already is.

I only use with the Moza Glimbal autofocus (so I choose a lens that is directly compatibel with the Black magic camera. No converter). Can you explain your workflow with a manual lens. If you already have the Ronin-S I would think to much about the MOZA, the Ronin-S has the best motors and the best build in my opinion, have a great day and thank for the comment!

Hi, Arber I bought the moza air and I try to use the 12v power outlet but it doesn't work. My question is, do I have to activate something from the menu or this is always available. Thank you.

Do you think the bmpcc4k with the battery grip would still balance well on the Moza Air 2? Could you do some tests with that rigging?

Have you run into any issue using the bmpcc 4k + sigma 18-35 mm on the moza air 2. It seems like it cannot balance that setup? Also the ifocus is not able to reach the focus dial on the lens because its too long. Any suggestions? Anyone?

Great combo. The fact that the Moza Air 2 lets you change the sensitivity on the fly, is HUGE. I've used the Ronin S, and it's very good. But, given that I am planning on getting the BMPCC4K, and that the MA2 can power it, it's a no brainer to me.

yes the user interface is crazy good on the Moza, Personally I wouldn't side grade if I already hade the Ronin-S because its great to even though it lacks a few features.

I have a stabilizing issue with air2 and motor having small jerks

The built is very similar to the tilta g2x gimbal which I’m using on the bmpcc. Works very nice as well

The tilta I have tested and felt nice, the build on the tilta is far better then the MOZA in my opinion

Great combo. But if you mount ssd disk and extra battery (sony NP-750) in smallrig adapter is possible to calibrate. I think that this gimbal it's great!

I have used the Moza iFocus but I use it very seldom to be honest. I try to set my focus before I shoot and then move with that in mind.

i have BMPCC 6K Pro, i can plug it as and 4K version?

Does the Blackmagic come with the cable that connects to the Moza?

I have this set up. I'm trying to get it going by getting that adapter cord. My question for your is, do you have a solution for not being able to run ac/dc power to your camera now that you are using that plug for your gimbal?

Hello Arber! Whats bmpc4k battery life when it is attached on Moza air 2? I know that the gimbal itself has 16 hours battery life and the bmcp4k 40 minutes. Do we get extra battery life on the camera when it is attached on the gimbal? If yes for how long extra? Thanks and keep it up!

Well either you power straight from the gimbal or you would need some kind of a V-mount option that you could attach to the gimbal.

Good question, I wouldn’t say there would be a big difference there, but it’s hard to say, there are many variables to think about, both will probably work is my guess :) good luck!

I heard the Ronin-S is controlled remotely via an App, which might not be reliable if used mounted outside of a car. Compared with the Moza Air2?

The gimbal power won't fry the black magic will if you're using it as your power source? Like a voltage issue

there is a company called Accsoon that makes a pro gimbal that streams wifi, and allows you to move the tilt motor to the other side. it would absolutely be the best gimbal for the Pocket, if it actually supported the camera and were just a tad bit smoother.

you get two plates with the moza air 2. I moved the small screw to the other plate so that I can get it nice and secure.

How do you focus while using it?

Does the quick release plate mount to the center of the camera? Is it a Manfrotto Quick release standard plate? I bought the Ronin-S and had to face the issue that since the camera is too big i have to use the riser plate to off-set it, and i had to put it on and off everytime i wanted to change from tripod to Gimbal, which was a big no no for me. If i can switch from tripod to gimbal seamlessly without having to take out the plate i will mostly get this gimbal...

You actually have to offset the camera on the MOZA also I’m afraid, with the cage that’s not a problem though, the plate is a manfrotto style plate but only works on the newer push on tripod heads.

Have you noticed any jerkyness with the Moza Air 2 with your BMPCC 4k cage setup? Mine is jerking like crazy and sometimes the motors freak out.

May you attach the link to the cage?

In the video I was sloppy, I put the DC cable In the wrong hole =) =) there is a DC input near the quick release plate.

Arber Baqaj That’s so funny! You know why? I did the same thing! I saw the dc-sized port on the handle and assumed that was 12v out but as you know, it’s DC in and the 12v dc out is on the camera plate. Works like a charm! You’re forgiven 😂 Thanks.

Hi there, I know that some people have gotten that to work and others have not so it seems to be right on the edge of what the gimbal can do.

I’ve always been a strong advocate for moza gimbals. Moza air mkI was actually even better than the ronin s because you could do many moves with it and it would not freak out and the algorithms are smoother. I’ve owned the ronin s, moza air mk1, and I currently own the crane 3 lab. It’s a cool gimbal but the joystick Is horrible and difficult to get smooth shots with. That is one thing I can say about the ronin s is that the joystick on that thing is so smooth and cinematic. For me that is important and makes me want to get the ronin s again but the moza air 2 is very tempting because I know it is the smoothest and has the most predictable behavior but I don’t know how the joystick behaves in comparison to the ronin s.

you have to calibrate. once you do it, it's great. there are videos about it

I guess the best way to power the camera from gimbal is to soder your own cable. Apparently but I saw some cables in special order status on b&h site.

Got this gimbal awhile ago. Haven't been able to use it a ton with my Pocket 4k, but hot dang does it work well when I have used it

It is good and easy to use, the only issue I have with it is the build, could be better, and the motors on the ronin-s are actually better.

i have moza air 2 and bmpcc4k with 500gb ssd on it, once i turn on the bmpcc4k, my moza air 2 battery jumps from 100 to 50 in just a few seconds. moza air 2 battery seems fine when bmpcc4k is not connected. PS I plugged the p4k in the 16v slot. would it make a difference if i plug it on the gimbal body like you did?

Yes you should use that out put, In the video I actually fit it in the wrong hole

How do you focus?

I'm curious why you aren't using the 12V power port on the front of the camera mount, to the left of the base plate? Then you don't have the restriction of the cable going to the non-moving part of the gimbal. Also, what you are plugged into on this gimbal is intended for input power to power the gimbal, not accessory power. You have 12v available on the front and 7.4v on the back of the camera mount rear (if you wanted to use a dummy battery).

Long time viewer of your vids! Love them. Does anyone know if this stabilizer can work with this much weight: Rode Video mic pro Small rig: full size cage Sigma 18-35. And does this need the extra balancing plate like the ronin? Any information would be awesome.

Stefan Lewis why the external mic on the camera rig? I used to do that but i found that the in-camera audio is decent on its own, considering i only ever use the audio as reference. When shooting interviews (or really anything with dialogue) you would be better off having a mic on the person instead of all the way from the camera

Moza air 2 is perfect but there are tons of negative reviews referring to the quality control of the gimbal. I will get ronin S instead.

Yes the build isn’t great to be honest, the Ronin-S is a premium piece of kit! Made like a tank! But for the BMPCC4k I prefer the MOZA

Around two hours I would say, I would recommend to get extra batteries

update: the v mount battery can be mounted in between the gimbal and tripod legs. then a small extension for the dummy battery and youre good to go
